It's all about the Sons at the moment. Tom is having an identity crisis, Dan is off to Sandhurst, and poor old Adam is working his socks off.

Interesting to hear the Helen and Rob's take on his conversation with Charlie Grin

JoInScotland · 14/05/2014 19:24

Rob will avenge himself on Charlie by creeping up behind him on a dark night, Charlie will disappear, and Rob will build Helen a new patio..... says my DP. He gets more excited when I open this thread beside the Radio 4 window than I do!

BitOutOfPractice · 14/05/2014 21:37

I've changed my ring tone to tA theme toon today. I'm out and proud! Grin

Lomaamina · 14/05/2014 22:01

Where did you get it bitoutofpractice? My colleagues will be outraged (or bemused - half of them are forrin).

ErrolTheDragon · 14/05/2014 22:28

I'm liking Charlie a lot more now that he's being nice to Adam (albeit perhaps with ulterior motives and I wouldn't trust any man who double parked) but mostly for the way he dealt with Rob - oh yes. Such squirming.

oldfatandtired1 · 14/05/2014 23:36

I am slightly worried that the great Nancy Banks Smith from The Guardian hasn't posted her latest update yet? So much to say, surely? Hope she's OK.

unitarian · 15/05/2014 01:03

How do you get an Archers ringtone?

BitOutOfPractice · 15/05/2014 07:14

I bought it off iTunes - just search for The Archers and scroll down to the ringtones - there's several. It makes me smile every time it goes off

dirtybanana · 15/05/2014 10:28

Such a shame Kirsty is leaving Ambridge.

Do you think Tom was with Pat's family in Wales? I know that when people move to Ambridge, they hardly ever mention the friends and family they left behind ( apart from Aunty Satchia of course).

Pat's parents or siblings still alive?

TeenyfTroon · 15/05/2014 10:29

Not for me BOOP! I still hate the music after a lifetime of hearing it! I'll stick with 'You'll never walk alone' (back to my roots) which my daughter thinks is really naff. She's right but I love it!

Where is Kathy? Just thought we haven't heard how her new/old job's going? Mind you, she's so boring I've only just missed her.

BitOutOfPractice · 15/05/2014 11:36

Tha's OK Teeny - I was just answering the people who asked me.

I change my ring tone regularly because I get fed up of it.

Icimoi · 15/05/2014 14:15

It was fascinating to hear Peggy talking to Helen about what a diamond she's snaffled. It casts an interesting light on her judgment, and I was a bit bemused that she was totally ignoring the teensy flaw in Rob's apparent perfection, namely the fact that he's still married.

unitarian · 15/05/2014 17:36

You'd think Peggy would recognise a dodgy prospective husband when she saw one, wouldn't you.

I too have been wondering what has happened to Kathy. Pat would surely turn to her for support in the circs.

I think I'm too tight to actually pay for a ringtone!

TarpalCunnel · 15/05/2014 18:39

Oh no I hope Kirsty doesn't go, she has been spectacular at playing the ice-queen with traitor Hellin, and the way she cleared out all that shite & set it all on fire, without the merest hint of looking back, was actually applaudable. I loved her ruthless approach, and I really hope to see (or rather, hear) a massive belter of a showdown with the Sausage King.

Go Kirsty! Grin

BoreOfWhabylon · 15/05/2014 19:09

Maurice Horton! My cup runneth over Grin

TarpalCunnel · 15/05/2014 19:11

Lynda as Beverley from Abigail's Party - now THAT is just brilliant Grin

AllMimsyWereTheBorogroves · 15/05/2014 19:12

Mine too, BoreOfWhabylon!

Lynda = Beverley, Eddie = Charles Aznavour - this is great.

Tommy · 15/05/2014 19:14

another party on a Thursday..... Hmm

Kirk1 · 15/05/2014 19:14

Who is Beverly from Abigail's Party? I assume Abigail's party is a 70s pop group?

AllMimsyWereTheBorogroves · 15/05/2014 19:15

I think I'm going to have to listen to this one again. Sabrina in suede hot pants, that was another good bit.

Tony = John Travolta! I'd have paid good money to see that dance.

DodderyOldSoul · 15/05/2014 19:16

Oh, this is brilliant!

"I don 't mind missing Die Fleidermouse."

Tony dancing to Saturday Night Fever

Eddie singing.

Aces!

AllMimsyWereTheBorogroves · 15/05/2014 19:20

Abigail's Party was a TV play directed by Mike Leigh. Beverley was played by Alison Steadman (his wife at the time) - it was a bravura performance which is almost painful to watch even now, as Beverley is a monster. It was a satire of suburban life on a 70s housing estate.

Halsall · 15/05/2014 19:20

Kirk, Abigail's Party is a Mike Leigh play, televised in the 70’s.....a classic of its type. Alison Steadman was the monstrous Beverley, iirc with a passion for Demis Roussos. It was magnificently cringe-making.

Agreed, genius to have Lynda as Beverley!

MrsCampbellBlack · 15/05/2014 19:21

Oh Eddie was sweet

Halsall · 15/05/2014 19:21

Oops, x-post, Mimsy!
