Was it anybody's 50th recently or did I just make that up? :o

It's very weird that Kirsty is getting married and there is no sign of her family whatsoever. Who's going to walk her down the aisle? Does she not have any siblings/nieces to be bridesmaid and don't parents of the bride normally contribute? I'm not expecting them to have speaking parts but it's a bit odd that the family haven't even been mentioned!

Northernlurker · 24/03/2014 12:37

Kirsty's mum is mentioned a bit I think.

WipsGlitter · 24/03/2014 13:56

Ruth's 45? That's interesting I was wondering. A child in DS's class was born to a mum of 45, in fact there are quite few of us in our 40s.

I thought they were oversetting up the stag night thing "you're going to be away overnight, in a hotel, in Birmingham" I wonder if Rob will sneak off and use his argument with Ian as an excuse to get up to mischief.

i was wondering whether although obviously a smaller age gap jill had elizabeth a number of years after david, and she might be remembering that positively too. according to the BBC profiles she was 36 when elizabeth was born, so nearly ten years younger than ruth is now, but still 8 years since her previous baby

OddFodd · 24/03/2014 14:29

Oh I don't know NL - probably! My recollection of everything else seems to be pretty bad

Lily surely can't think that Peep is pg can she? Ruth said that Pip would have to move into Rickyard and THEN said that the baby would have to have Pip's room. So it can't be Pip that's duffed up

ErrolTheDragon · 24/03/2014 15:14

Ah, but Lily may not have heard the Rickyard bit, only the part about putting the cot in Pip's room.

Halsall · 24/03/2014 15:18

Compos I just sprayed coffee at 'the fun would never start'

Impomea · 24/03/2014 15:40

I think that Lily will get the wrong end of the stick and a rumour will start that Pip is coming home and is pregnant.

Can't bear this Rob/Helen stuff -poor poor HenrySad

Yes Compo my Mum is 80 and her mother grew up with an "aunt" who turned out to be her cousinShock

GypsyFloss · 24/03/2014 15:41

When Nigel died there was talk on the old BBC board about how the writers has missed an opportunity to have saved him but given him a life limiting disability. Perhaps Rooth will end up unable to be a farmer or care for the baby due to a complication at the birth, rather than something happening to the infant. That would change the landscape at Brookfield considerably.

'The fun would never start' . Definitely going to squeeze that one into my working day Smile

AllMimsyWereTheBorogroves · 24/03/2014 16:13

50th birthday - wasn't it Susan Carter who had one last year? [one quick google later] Yes, 10th October last year.

OddFodd · 24/03/2014 16:24

Thank you AllMimsy!

Very good point Errol - that hadn't occurred to me

PseudoBadger · 24/03/2014 17:47

I was thinking something cow related also. Who knows what implications Dead Cow will have?
"We've had Lonely Cow, now it's Dead Cow. Follow the herd and discuss Ambridge and its livestock here"
Still open to suggestions though if that's shite.

Thumbs up from me, Pseudo!

LillianGish · 24/03/2014 18:21

Dead cow will almost inevitably lead to the demise of Tom's pigs, but not before he and Kirsty have over-stretched themselves on wedding and house.

LillianGish · 24/03/2014 18:24

Also who is to say Pip won't come home pregnant in a Jade Jagger and Assisi type scenario?

Northernlurker · 24/03/2014 18:26

I had an email from HQ saying they will see what can be done re webchat. Here's hoping!

Swannykazoo · 24/03/2014 18:33

Is it too late for temperamental among corvids?
Got to have something with the fun never starting....for Tom's stag

PseudoBadger · 24/03/2014 18:45

Just caught up with last night. Does anyone else think that Knob was sitting at Bridge Farm when he rang Helen. Or had followed her to Ian's?

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 24/03/2014 19:05

MikeTheShite · 24/03/2014 19:08

really really can't stand Tom

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 24/03/2014 19:09

I'm worried for Tony's health!

GypsyFloss · 24/03/2014 19:10

Lillian how prescient you are!

Pseudo I think that's a great title. Especially with what's unfolding right now.

Swannykazoo · 24/03/2014 19:12

Doomed I tell you doomed

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 24/03/2014 19:17

Yes - sorry Pseudo - forgot to answer. Definitely cows in the headline!
