Just don't be so careless with your watch Helen

OP posts:
bigbadbarry · 28/02/2014 19:42

Ooh do you think she will buy the really expensive dress that Kirsty ruled out? (I've missed 2 eps, waiting for Sunday to catch up - am speculating based purely on this thread)

Northernlurker · 28/02/2014 19:46

In a different size though. Kirsty has 'plenty to catch hold of' in my head. Helen doesn't.

BoreOfWhabylon · 28/02/2014 19:52

so, how long will the divorce take?

(we really need a 'TA Relationships' thread - with Jess posting her version, Hellin posting hers and Krusty posting worried about 'a friend'. Then we can all pile in with advice Grin )

GypsyFloss · 28/02/2014 20:04

6 months in real life...4 weeks thanks to the Ambridge divorce fairy.

TheOneWithTheNicestSmile · 28/02/2014 20:19

\link{http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/thearchers/posts/Rob-and-Helen-the-actors-thoughts\this is quite - um - interesting}

the actors' thoughts

I wonder how far ahead they can see scripts???

TheOneWithTheNicestSmile · 28/02/2014 20:20

'Tim: People were worried about poor Jess and whether she was under the patio.
Louiza: For a while, lots of people thought Jess might have been a man. It’s keeping people guessing, so that’s fun.'

Impomea · 28/02/2014 20:24

Rob proposed!Have I missed something? Is Jess already under the patio?

Never mind at least they have that dishy new pc to investigate Grin

Bluestocking · 28/02/2014 20:24

How could Hellin possibly think her poor mother would be pleased to hear about the Knobster's divorce? She and Rob should plan a honeymoon in Egypt - a lovely long cruise on the River Denial.

KIrsty7318 · 28/02/2014 20:28

According to that interview a lot of women of 'a certain age' are going " Oooh he sounds lovely!"

Really?

Minimammoth · 28/02/2014 20:37

It does not bode well. Perhaps they R and J are not really married. He can just go I divorce you, or something. Defo double pregnancy, the odds are going down.

Sunnymeg · 28/02/2014 21:23

Bigamy? Rob may end up with two or three wives, depending on who he spent Valentine's Day with. After all Jess did say he'd been giving her the run around for yearsWink

stilllearnin · 28/02/2014 22:12

I am not really on this thread - my mum sent me a text at 7.20pm: 'TA - what do you think?' I haven't had time to reply but now I have a moment I have sneaked onto here to check out the thread (sorry mum, I know you got me into it, but 3 times a week is not the level of the commitment I'm looking for).

That was very cringeworthy - there is no way Rob can be a good egg after all this! Its a great way to turn her against Kirsty - I like our kirst but she will be miffed if HellRob go for a whirlwind wedding. Now, where's my phone...

ErrolTheDragon · 28/02/2014 22:12

Interesting blog... someone there's been reading this thread, haven't they?

But I'm totally with Pat on this one - appalling attitude, and if someone does 'off with the old, on with the new' that quickly I wouldn't trust him an inch.

Nice to hear Tony sounding more confident with tom even if he probably is being too optimistic about Helen and rob. (Tony? Optimistic? Any dad for Henry better than none).

Good, well hopefully H&R will indeed marry and we'll have years of developing EA ahead, Rob taking over Bridge farm somehow, taking over from Brian as the local serial adulterer (but with so much less charm)....

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 28/02/2014 22:38

Going back a page or two, PC Burns is not how I imagined. I was thinking more Sergeant Troy from Midsomer...

Oh HellRob. Ugh. Oh dear. Do we think they're going to "normalise" him? I'm prepping for a let-down...

Bimblepops · 01/03/2014 00:58

I've just caught up with Thursday and Fridays episodes...arghhhhh, Rob and Hellinn, so ghastly...I think I actually prefer him to her, she is so sodding awful. Perhaps a flood surge could suddenly sweep them into the river and drown them both? That would definitely brighten up my Sunday night!

JessieMcJessie · 01/03/2014 05:14

Going back to the question about Emma, before Lower Loxley (but am not quite sure whether before she married Will) she was the main waitress/short order cook at Jaxx in its cafe incarnation. It was generally portrayed that Kenton was a useless manager and it was Emma who really did all the work.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 01/03/2014 06:32

Oh Lord! This is so much worse than anything I imagined.

It was supposed to be fun(ny) - the mega-dairy having an affair with the organic dairy farm.... But first the dairy was stripped out of the farm, and now this. My fond hope of Rob being driven out with pitchforks after a few days of steely silence from Brian is nowhere.

And now it's beginning to look as if, as Errol suggests, Rob could be here for years. Forever. Woven into the village - he and Helen the next Jennifer and Brian.Shock (Just as I hope Brenda will emerge as the next Lillian, intermittent and unsettling.... Until she settles.)

So this is how the future of agriculture looks? All over Britain and Europe? (With Debbie bringing us the news.) I was going to say at least Kate isn't setting up in food production - but perhaps that's part of the future too, no more farming there. But here - just the two options; thrusting mega -business for feeding the five billion or holier than thou niche for the few who can afford it. (With the two always eventually in bed together behind the scenes.) And everything in-between desperately diversifying itself out of existence...

Yum.Sad

ppeatfruit · 01/03/2014 08:33

Thanks for the link TheOneWith It was VERY interesting apparently some people thought that Jess is\was a man Shock none of us inteligent MNers did did we?? how weird !! BTW I had imagined Rob as much more handsome that that IIWM I'd not've fallen hook line and sinker on the look of him that's for sure Grin

I haven't heard last night's yet zero that's very depressing Sad

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 01/03/2014 08:48

We were all far too intelligent to imagine they would do that - for all sorts of reasons.

Hurry up and listen ppeat. (And then come and tell us (me) what the future holds for farming in France....)

SomethingOnce · 01/03/2014 08:51

Eh?

Do you mean 'some people thought that Jess is\was a man' as in thought R was secretly gay or thought J is a transperson?

Confused
TheRaniOfYawn · 01/03/2014 09:11

People thought R was secretly gay as he had a mysterious "wife" who he never really talked about as an actual person and who nobody had ever met so some people thought that he was in a relationship with a man but wasn't out.

SomethingOnce · 01/03/2014 10:01

Thanks, Rani.

Slightly disappointed as the other would've been more interesting!

CuttedUpPear · 01/03/2014 11:54

'People' thought Jess was a man? Who?

If it didn't happen on MN then it didn't happen!

ppeatfruit · 01/03/2014 12:29

Well that's what it said on TheOneWithTheNicestSmile's link, honest Grin
Thanks for the explanation TheRani That was because he criticised Ian's choice of music wasn't it? he must be in the egyptian river Grin

CuttedUpPear · 01/03/2014 12:59

Yes I know ppeatfruit, I read the article and got all bosom hoiky about the suggestion that any of us listeners thinking Jess was a man!
