Thanks Blue Smile

It really felt too cleanly wrapped up with her asking about Jess and saying "she's not happy but whatever " (or something like they) and I would love for her to come back and discover them in the milking shed but also love the idea of Jenny calling her.

I missed the bit where Jess left - what was said? Rob stated categorically that she was gone forever - is she really not under the patio?

ErrolTheDragon · 05/01/2014 22:24

I missed the bit where Jess left - what was said?

no-one knows - we only have Rob's report that she went and they're finished. Tom did see Jess packing her car.

GypsyFloss · 05/01/2014 22:42

He is such a lying toe-rag. I'd love the police to turn up making enquiries about his missing wife, followed by him doing emotional tv appeals for her safe return whilst Hellqueen berates him about who/ whom he really loves. Finishing up with him being done for her murder and dumping her body in a flooded culvert. Killing two birds in one go with the depatching of Jess and a topical insert in one go Grin

ErrolTheDragon · 05/01/2014 23:04

I fear the lies may be less dramatic - that she did go back to mother following the party disaster, but that she thinks she left on her own terms and that at some point she'll decide to reappear to forgive him (again)

curlew · 05/01/2014 23:09

I always thought Captqin was a King Charles!

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 05/01/2014 23:18

Was definitely a lie, unless the SWs are writing in their sleep.

When was Jess' job supposed to start? Wasn't it January? Why would she creep meekly back to her mother and stay there - just because he says so? Surely embarrassment about the party couldn't cause that. And she loved Ambridge....

It's either the patio or the build up to Ambridge's first bigamy story...

ErrolTheDragon · 05/01/2014 23:18

Goodness, no. According to this, Lynda Snell's Hermes was an unlikely offspring of Captain and Mrs A's Afghan Portia - I didn't know that! Grin

ErrolTheDragon · 05/01/2014 23:23

Rob must think she's not coming back though, else he would have wanted to keep his affair with Helen secret.

curlew · 06/01/2014 00:07

Staffie/Afghan cross? What on earth would that look like!

PrincessFiorimonde · 06/01/2014 00:15

I like NorthernLurker's plot suggestion. Nice to think that Christmas 2016 has already been taken care of!

Did Jess definitely accept a job (in Borchester?), or was she just considering it?

ErrolTheDragon · 06/01/2014 00:21

Possibly not as odd as all that - I found this quite handsome chap.

campion · 06/01/2014 02:34

She definitely accepted the job, Princess. Wasn't she in the shop when the call came through?

Wouldn't her Mum be making enquiries by now if she's gone AWOL?

He was lying through his teeth though.

Run for the hills Helen and don't come back

Ginfox · 06/01/2014 08:53

So glad I found this thread - I don't know anyone who admits to listening to the Archers in RL.

Also never occurred to me that Rob might have topped Jess. But either way, Helen shouldn't touch him with a barge-pole - he is well-dodgy.

BitOutOfPractice · 06/01/2014 10:26

Oh I had to come here to say that Rob is a lying liar and his pants will surely soon be on fire!

I suspect that Jess thinks they are "on a break" after a big post-party bust-up and will come back to make it up with Rob only to find...

ppeatfruit · 06/01/2014 10:47

yeah rob is definitely lying but isn't he just blinded by new relationship lust like hellin? Saying what he THINKS she wants to hear and she's not really listening.

Oh oh there'll be big trouble mark my words

curlew · 06/01/2014 11:27

Rob isn't blinded by anything. He is calculating and creepy.

Do adult people really" do that teenage "can't keep their hands off each other" thing? Really?????^

ppeatfruit · 06/01/2014 11:53

Some do curlew remember hell has been without sex for a long time and Rob's a (typical) bloke ain't he? Grin

ppeatfruit · 06/01/2014 11:56

I agree they've made him a calculating shxx though.

Ginfox · 06/01/2014 12:15

I did once Curlew

Suppose it depends when you get to be a grown-up :)

TallGiraffe · 06/01/2014 12:29

I still don't get the haste to move in. That would cause scandal of an unimaginable scale in my village. Surely they'd let people get used to the relationship and get the divorce sorted first?

ppeatfruit · 06/01/2014 12:59

Especially TallGiraffe with Henry involved it's crazy.

TheSparklyPussycat · 06/01/2014 13:42

Must say I was looking forward to a slow development of the Hell/Rob story - not this sudden rush. You would think I'd have learned by now
