WRF to the cast rotation I heard one of the producers say it cost them £300 every time an actor spoke in an ep. I also thought of the effin' payoffs and salaries they pay out of the licence money to the directors who just do very little except fxxx up the beeb. I know where I'd prefer some of the money to be spent Xmas Grin Xmas Grin

Jess won't be having an affair.

I've worked it out - there's no-one for her to have an affair with.

Brian's out. Far too much hard won respect for his "magnificent" wife. Kenton, no. David, burnt. Tom, no. MikeXmas Grin Robert, ditto. Will, no. Ed, no. Neil - would need a characterotomy. As would Roy. They've done vicars...

Poor Jess is facing a lonely few years until she's well established and they bring in a new character just for her. Unless Helen?

Selks · 21/12/2013 11:28

Oh dear. We all know what's going to happen to Darrell now Sad.

Selks · 21/12/2013 11:30

Ooh, Helen and Jess, Zero? Interesting (and now you mention it rather plausible) plot twist!

ZeroSomeFestiveGameThingy · 21/12/2013 12:09

Xmas Grin H + J wasn't my idea... Someone suggested it above.

They are dragging out poor Darrell's demise.

Gigondas · 21/12/2013 12:46

Yes Darrell demise is overdone with all the talk of you are my blood, no father of mine etc.

He is fucking annoying tho. I know that makes me a bad person for lacking sympathy.

ppeatfruit · 21/12/2013 15:08

Someone should explain to Darrell that some teenagers hate their 'normal' parents let alone when there's actually a reason to dislike them.

(oh dear I'm getting too involved I know Iam Xmas Grin)

ErrolTheDragon · 21/12/2013 18:15

Yes the whole scooter thing was dreadful.

I seem to have missed that. Confused

Panzee · 21/12/2013 22:00

In the midst of Darrell and Elona's money worries, Elona thought that it would be a great idea to get Rosa a scooter on the drip. Part of Darrell's daft decision to become involved in the dog fighting thing was money trouble. But of course it was all Darrell's fault. :o

TheOnlyOliviaMumsnet · 21/12/2013 22:09

Hallo
Been awol having babies but still listening on catch up.
Just wanted to say that they have mentioned the gas heater in the cider shed three or four times so that is definitely a red herring BIG CLUE to what lies ahead.

Pseudo hope your LO is on the mend.

ZeroSomeFestiveGameThingy · 21/12/2013 22:13

Hey Olivia! Congratulations. We've missed you. Thanks

The consensus I've decided is that at least one of the Grundy brothers will be fatally injured in Darrell's gas canister conflagration. Xmas Grin

Panzee · 21/12/2013 22:14

I've just read your birth announcement, congratulations :)

TallGiraffe · 21/12/2013 22:25

Aww, congratulations Olivia, they're gorgeous!

PseudoSanta · 21/12/2013 22:25

Congratulations Olivia!!!

BasketzatDawn · 21/12/2013 22:30

What's the betting too that Rob will behave so badly at his MIL's at Christmas that Jess will tell him to bugger off back to Ambridge/they'll have a row over his grumpy, twuntish behaviour/rudeness to jess and his poor recently widowed MIL, and will go back to A, allegedly to 'work'. So by the end of Boxing Day he and OW will have resumed the affair.

StayAwayFromDeliriumDive · 21/12/2013 23:04

Surely if Hellin was pregnant we would have known about it by now - very disappointing - I was very much looking forward to Pat and Tony's reaction.

Congratulations Olivia.

Panzee · 21/12/2013 23:19

If Helen and Rob do start up again then there's ample opportunity for that pregnancy to appear. Smile

ErrolTheDragon · 21/12/2013 23:31

Congratulations Olivia - wow, good weight for twins, over 13lb in all!

Zero, I don't believe the SWs would fatally injure will or ed - they've surely set them up for grudges and ructions for decades.

duchesse · 21/12/2013 23:53

Absolutely, those are fantastic weights, OliviaMumsnet! And at 37 weeks too. Congratulations and hope you get at least some sleep...

WhatSheSaid · 22/12/2013 00:57

Congrats Olivia, great weights and great names. Glad to see minor incidences like giving birth to twins has not interfered with the all-important business of keeping up with matters in Ambridge Grin

WillieWagglingRoundTheXmasTree · 22/12/2013 06:27

Congratulations Olivia!

2 things:

  1. Jenny's "just a tiny suggestion" sounded EXACTLY like my dp's mum...
  1. Would Darrell having an accident on the grundy property be a sort of mirror to the Joe/grey gables incident?
PseudoSanta · 22/12/2013 07:23

Hi all, BabyPseudo is much brighter, still with a horrid cough but actually alert and interacting. Thank you all for your thoughts Flowers

StayAwayFromDeliriumDive · 22/12/2013 07:41

But a Christmas announcement would have been perfect!

And why was Jenny being so helpful to Jess - totally out of character?

ZeroSomeFestiveGameThingy · 22/12/2013 07:47

That's wonderful Pseudo

Is she telling you she wants to listen to the omnibus to catch up on any she's missed?

PseudoSanta · 22/12/2013 07:52

I think she'd definitely want to hear the party prep and actual party episodes :o
