New thread!

OP posts:
Somethingyesterday · 14/08/2013 11:53

Damian?? I don't recall the name but I think she flat-shares. So I guess he could be the flatmate.

I also thought Patrick was a "sort of" bf but the SWs have made it clear he doesn't really count.

Somethingyesterday · 14/08/2013 11:55

OMG. She's going out with Tom on Friday night and then her flat will be empty.

Please god let my radio die.

TallGiraffe · 14/08/2013 12:03

Is there not another Hellin/Rob shagfest scheduled for Friday too?

Somethingyesterday · 14/08/2013 12:06

Population explosion next spring? Grin

PrincessFiorimonde · 14/08/2013 12:08

Something, yes, I think Patrick is a 'sort of but not quite'.

Re: Damian (I just went to iPlayer to check the name Blush), I hadn't thought about a flatshare. Though why would it matter what your flatmate's doing if you're going out for a curry with a 'friend'?

But then your implication re: the empty flat hit me! Oh my good God!

PrincessFiorimonde · 14/08/2013 12:09

Perhaps Rob n Hell will go for a curry to, and one smooching couple will espy the other?

PrincessFiorimonde · 14/08/2013 12:10

*too

Somethingyesterday · 14/08/2013 12:10

GrinGrinGrin

Isn't it just too horrible to contemplate?

Ponders · 14/08/2013 12:11

they could have a foursome

how lovely would that sound?

Ponders · 14/08/2013 12:12

& radio shagging after a fiery curry could have some super-interesting sound effects

[gag]

Somethingyesterday · 14/08/2013 12:14

And bumping into RobHell will just mean they have to get back to that empty flat even earlier....

I don't feel well.

TallGiraffe · 14/08/2013 14:22

Ponders - a foursome involving siblings is too far even for TA surely!!!

ppeatfruit · 14/08/2013 14:32

Grin you lot 've dirtier minds than me (and that's saying something!!!)

Somethingyesterday · 14/08/2013 14:43

In my defence ppea I responded before seeing Ponders'' post...

But it does seem as if the SWs have quite a Friday night planned for us....

ppeatfruit · 14/08/2013 14:56

It's okay something I was joshing Grin Grin though it looks like I'll have to listen on Friday night Grin the S.W's are doing something right (though you'll all have a go at me for saying that Grin).!!!!!

Ponders · 14/08/2013 15:42

Eeek, eww, I didn't think that through, did I? Sorry. (Passes brain bleach)

LilacBreastedRoller · 14/08/2013 16:10

I don't know if I have the strength to face Friday's episode. Will Kirsty and Tom get each other in the mood by continuing to riff on hilarious pork jokes?

R4 · 14/08/2013 20:48

It has never occurred to me before but Kenton - you know, the easy-going, fun-loving 'mine host' who gets on with everyone - has no friends. It is very weird asking Jamie (aged 18; 27 years his junior) to be his Best Man. Are the SW on glue?

OliviaIsOffTheGinMumsnet · 14/08/2013 20:56

I did snurk when Brenda was offered sausages in AmbEx and she siad, er no thanks Grin

PseudoBadger · 14/08/2013 21:04

His best friend was murdered by The Editor R4 :(
I think Dave would've been a better choice as best man surely.

OP posts:
Somethingyesterday · 14/08/2013 21:07

R4 It both is and isn't odd that he's asked J. In RL you definitely wouldn't ask your ex's son to be your best man. But J is also Jolene's stepson so....

Something interrupted me during a conversation about David and I haven't managed to listen again - so don't know the reason for his not being K's best man.

No friends does seen odd at first. But there are plenty of Mnetters saying they can't find new friends, especially if they've moved to a new place (or back to an old home) after say mid twenties. Kenton was out of the country for years, and not very settled when he returned. So it is (for once, the SWs never remember to give people non Am friends) conceivable that, despite being the life and soul, he really doesn't have any very close friends.

Nigel was his friend. He would have been his best man. Angry

Somethingyesterday · 14/08/2013 21:09

Oooh Pseudo Writing each other's sentences. We should get married. Grin

CuttedUpPear · 14/08/2013 22:34

HelRob today. Urgh. Like rabbits.
"We've got half an hour"
"Better nor waste it then"

For once I was WILLING DS to come in and interrupt so I couldn't hear what was happening.

OliviaIsOffTheGinMumsnet · 14/08/2013 22:41

Oh dear god really?!
Have got that to listen to now

Panzee · 15/08/2013 04:21

Actually I wasn't impressed. I was in the bathroom with my 4 year old son at the time, and didn't really appreciate the heavy breathing while he was brushing his teeth! I know it's not a kids programme but it's not what I was expecting!
