Having finally got to hear the delectable Mrs Shen, I'm more gobsmacked than ever that anyone seriously thinks she's a travel journalist. Surely Lynda can do a bit of detective work and expose her? There can then be a splendid scene where they tell her precisely what she can do with her demands for esoteric magazines and a laundry service and throw her out on her ear.

The thing that really baffles me is that 4 years ago or so, Alan was taking Luke in, arguing about how the church repair fund should be spent on The Elms, etc, and now everyone seems to have forgotten about it.

Nor has Shula suggested that perhaps the managers of the Elms need to run things better.

Having listened to last night's 'pantomime/farce' at the F&P show I was surprised that a) Henry didn't say something about Rob and Mummy kissing b) Pat wasn't more suspicious about how friendly they all were and c) Pat wasn't suspicious at the 'we haven't seen the beetroot yet' line (unless Ambridge beetroot is multicoloured with fairy lights and a spectacular sight). I certainly wouldn't bypass a cup of tea for any of the fruit and veg.

TBF they do seem to have been a bit bothered by the church organ versus the homeless - I think Alan may work himself up to do something. And Neil and Shula are having a hard enough time getting Darrell to accept any help, if they offered a spare room he'd probably be off and not come back.

Lynda and Ian are definitely onto Mrs Shen - they just need to join the dots to implicate Ray, at which point he'll bugger off, Lynda will Save The Day and all will be well.
