?

Well honestly! It make me quite cross.

edam · 06/03/2011 17:50

yes but he's feeling guilty. As he should!

Ormirian · 06/03/2011 17:54

Meanwhile it's all going shitwards at home! Think of the laaaaammmmbss!....

It won't be a problem much longer. When the truth comes out at the inquest:
'So Mr Archer - why did Mr Pargetter go on the roof?'

'Because I said it suited me and asked if he was a man or a mouse'

'Ohhhhhhh Nooooooooooo'

Lizzie won't let him on the premises for the next decade........

Ormirian · 06/03/2011 17:59

Well yes but he isn't going to say that is he.

Well I wouldn't Grin

Northernlurker · 06/03/2011 18:06

He'll try not to - just say 'we went up there' but the coroner has been listening and will be astute enough to spot evasion and will ask and ask. Then David will break down and everyone will be horrified. Ruth is going to flip again as well I think.

charitygirl · 06/03/2011 18:07

I think that must be right Northern. Otherwise, how will Nigel's death 'change Ambridge for ever' like they said it would? There has to be a rift.

HolyMolars · 06/03/2011 18:13

Never mind David - What about Kenton and Joleen!!?? (apologies if names misspelt)Cathy will start getting a complex,. First Sid, now Kenton...

seeker · 06/03/2011 18:15

David is going to top himself. Bet you a million pounds. Ther the actor can take his place in the House of Lords and carry on campaigning for countryside related matters.

Northernlurker · 06/03/2011 19:01

Just listening to the omnibus - Kenton and Jolene are very sweet.

HolyMolars · 06/03/2011 19:40

But how will Jamie take it? Poor boy will be dead condused. His real mum's ex carrying on with his stepmother! Were Sid and Jolene married or partners?

Ormirian · 06/03/2011 19:45

I thought they were sweet too. And I am a dyed in the wool if when it comes to romantic story lines

GrendelsMum · 06/03/2011 19:53

But Lizzie has a heart condition! She can't be worried or upset, Ormirian. I can't believe that you're suggested David should behave so callously to his little sister. What does it matter if his own farm goes to ruin, so long as Lizzie is all right? Because she does have a heart condition, you know.

Northernlurker · 06/03/2011 20:15

Sid and Jolene had an affair during his marriage to Kathy. Then they married in due course. Kathy's nose was properly put out by the marriage - think she thought it would all blow over.

seeker · 06/03/2011 20:24

What IS Jill going to say?

Mind you, she will be so traumatized by David's suicide she probably won't notice.

GrendelsMum · 06/03/2011 20:39

Jill won't care.

Don't forget that when the Archers family photo was taken, Kathy and Jamie were pointedly not included.

lalalonglegs · 06/03/2011 21:08

Do you know, much as I miss poor, hen-pecked Nigel I really don't remember him working terribly hard at Lower Loxley - wasn'the always poncing about planning new routes for visitors through the nuttery and straight into the teashop? I don't know how David has found so much to do, if he really wanted to keep Nigel's spirit alive he should pedal about in polo helmet being vague about the west wing.

LadyBiscuit · 06/03/2011 21:13

Quite lala. I hope David doesn't top himself - I can't bear the grief and the endless Daaaaay-veeeeeeds

Northernlurker · 06/03/2011 21:28

When is Elizabeth going to notice that Roy could be her perfect manager - and she could promote Hayley too?

LadyBiscuit · 06/03/2011 21:33

It's going to take her a while I reckon Northernlurker. She's so bloody self-obsessed that she's not going to realise until there is a catastrophe and he steps into the breach

GrendelsMum · 07/03/2011 18:22

Yes - before Nigel died, all we ever heard about was him swanning round the estate coming up with more lunatic schemes while Lizzie ran the conference business. Now suddenly it turns out that he was doing all this work, all along?

Ormirian · 07/03/2011 19:31

Maybe Nigel's main contribution was from the tourist board for playing the role of 'nice but dim, eccentric aristo' - Lizzie will never fill his shoes, definitely not nice and boringly uneccentric. Could leave quite a whole in the finances.

OP posts:
GrendelsMum · 08/03/2011 13:27

Oh, and now apparently Nigel was an expert wine blender.

seeker · 08/03/2011 15:18

Remember David has been trying to do Lizzie's job as well as Nigel's.

He will top himself. Lizzie will find out it was ALL HIS FAULT and accuse him and he will go out with a shotgun, ("Just going otu for a walk, Ruth. Look after the children. I may be some time") like dear unlamented Greg. You heard it here first.

Panzee · 09/03/2011 20:59

Poor Lizzie :o. She seems to have been transported to the 19th Century. Attempting to play board games with Freddie and stop him visiting his mates.

iwastooearlytobeayummymummy · 09/03/2011 23:15

Lizzie has always been a manipulative piece of work, anyone remember her outrage at not getting her 'proper share' of Brookfield?
Sadly widowhood does not become her (in RL I would be much more understanding!)
I think she needs Jill to tell her straight that she's being very unreasonable, and to give her a slap Wink
