?

Well honestly! It make me quite cross.

OP posts:
seeker · 14/03/2011 18:17

What I can't get miy head round is Lily and Freddy being nearly 11 and obviously bright. They (even before their father's death plunge) have always sounded about 6. Oh, and, on a related subject - what's Phoebe doing having "important spelling tests" in Year 8?

ChristinedePizan · 14/03/2011 18:28

I know seeker - my nephew is a lot more articulate than they are and he's got SEN.

seeker · 14/03/2011 18:44

And all that "Yuck - a dead fox - I don't like it!" stuff. They are country children, ffs!

Northernlurker · 14/03/2011 19:01

Seeker - I laughed my socks off about the spelling test. Written by someone who obviously doesn't have dcs....
I agree F & L are really being written badly atm.

campion · 15/03/2011 00:12

I like Freddie but Lily obviously needs speech therapy.

I'd like it even more if all under 18s could become 'silents'.

FER1 · 21/03/2011 15:54

I half hope Sam comes back to divert Ruth and teach David a lesson (not sure what lesson but he's just so irritating at the moment).

ppeatfruit · 25/03/2011 09:04

northernlurker i may be wrong but i do remember that the sainted Kathy had an affair with a policeman and Sid and her separated BEFORE he met jolene and they are married.

Greenshadow · 25/03/2011 14:19

So now it looks like Lewis is set to go off sick....

Abr1de · 25/03/2011 14:22

'what's Phoebe doing having "important spelling tests" in Year 8'

Actually my son, year nine, has been having fortnightly spelling tests, much to our amusement. I'm not sure they're classed as important though.

Will David be in big trouble when the inquest reveals that he was the one who really wanted to go up on to that icy roof? Hmmmn.

ppeatfruit · 26/03/2011 08:20

Yes Abride has David actually told anyone that he was the instigator of the accident ? Ruth even? The guilt is showing!!

Abr1de · 26/03/2011 10:04

It's all gonna come out in a messy way.

ppeatfruit · 26/03/2011 14:09

OOOH I hope so!!!Wink

JelliBelli · 28/03/2011 21:12

Well i thought it was a bad omen when Clarrie made the comment (to ?) about there's always been Pargetters at LL for as long as there has been Grundy's in Ambridge....

Must go off and iplayer last night and tonight.....

R4 · 29/03/2011 20:44

Poor David. He needs a big hug. Sad
I have a horrible feeling he is going to do something SATTC-ish. Especially after Ruth portentiously wittering on about how the inquest will "draw a line" over Nigel's death.

Northernlurker · 29/03/2011 20:51

Ppeatfruit - just noticed your post about Sid and Kathy and Jolene. Yes Kathy had an affair with Dave Barry when in the Importance of Being Ernest with him. She and Sid split up for a bit but then reunited, went on 2nd honeymoon and conceived the horrible Jamie. Then they grew apart and it was Sid's affair with Jolene that ended their marriage. Typical of Kathy - Sid could forgive her adultery but she couldn't forgive him his.

Northernlurker · 29/03/2011 21:10

About David. I think he did tell Ruth something about the accident in the immediate atermath. Not the whole man or mouse thing but from tonight's phone conversation it was plain that she knew enough to suspect another verdict was possible (which it wasn't really - it's not like David pushed him!) There were definate tones of relief and then the way she tried to get him to say it was over was frankly creepy. Farmers have a high rate of suicide - I think the sattc core part two will be an attempt on his own life. Good story actually - family man, successful farmer, local NFU president - trying to do himself in.

campion · 30/03/2011 00:16

He hasn't told anyone about the 'man or mouse' thing and it's really playing on his mind now.

He's going to have to share it with Brian Hmm

Northernlurker · 30/03/2011 08:18

Perhaps he'll go and see Alan for a nice chat. That would be a good idea.

ppeatfruit · 30/03/2011 12:00

Oh thanks northern, that Kathy deserves jamie though doesn't she? Serve her right if he eventually leaves her for his SM and SS and kenton!!

ppeatfruit · 30/03/2011 12:02

Wow about David do you really think he's that unstable? Bit solid for that IMO.

JoanofArgos · 30/03/2011 12:04

I JUST WANT A RHUBARB CRUMBLE!

seeker · 30/03/2011 12:09

I'm amazed the man or mouse thing didn;t come out at the inquest. And the fact that they had both been drinking.

He is going to top himself, as I said earlier so the actor concerned can take up his place in the House of Lords.

And if Kenton and Jolene have on air sex I might very well follow him. To suicide, I mean, not to the House of Lords.

JoanofArgos · 30/03/2011 12:14

And David does have a darkly brooding side which can take over sometimes - like when he wrecked the tree house of adultery, or killed that badger that was going to infect the beautiful herefords.

ppeatfruit · 30/03/2011 12:41

yeah Joan lol at the name, but not DDAAAAEEEEIIID !!!!Shock Shock

junojuno · 03/04/2011 10:50

So far, the only thing that has SATTC is that the cows have got a bit of a cough and Roy might be offered a job.

I'm waiting eagerly for brooch manly David to step up and replace whiny David.
