We're going to see friends tomorrow and I have told them that I will be leaving them temporarily to listen to the radio from 7pm....

Ooh ooh me too, I've got a day or two to catch up on I'll probably listen on inlayer later. Apparently there are two shockers one involving and existing story and another totally new. Surely the existing one has to involve Lizzie and Nigel? They are being focussed on a lot right now.

Could it be Lizzie's weak heart - Nigel does keep mentioning how she is busy etc at the moment? But there is also the whole Helen/Tony thing....

Have been spending far too much time trying to work out what is going to happen...

I agree it has to be a Lower Loxley event, as far too lovey dovey at present,coupled with Helen's baby , also feeling a little anxious that i may not be able to listen live.

Am glad to find this thread. I am ridiculously overexcited. Am now WORRIED that I have hyped it up too much and it will be some really boring thing like Joe Grundy selling a bulk order of mistletoe to the Felpersham ASDA.

I know it's half an hour but I haven't told friends that yet....

I've already advised dh that I'll be incommunicado for 30 mins, and he isn't to come in and do what he usually does, ie start asking me who everyone is, and what the storyline's all about.

It HAS to be Hellin-related, and be something really epic (ie bad) happening to her, because I refuse to accept that I've wasted all these months yelling at the radio every time her smug, preening, manipulative voice comes on, and calming myself down with the thought that she will get her comeuppance eventually.

But yes, previous much-hyped dramas have been major let-downs.....bah!

Anyone thinking this has got to be a really thrilling culmination to events must surely remember the Ruth & Sam scenario ending with a whimper..

I'm so glad I am not alone - I have been thinking about it all day! AIBU to have sent the kids upstairs to get ready for bed now so that they will all be out of my hair by 7? in my defence they are all poorly and I am on breakfast duty tomorrow so if it starts at 6 am I only have myself to blame.
Fibilou I've been thinking about Ruth and Sam today too - it might have ended in a whimper (and bizarrely all back to normal never to be mentioned again) but it was thrilling while it was going on, real edge-of-the-seat stuff.

Someone also told me that whatever it is will have decades-long repercussions to all Archers' plotlines... I really hope they don't resort to an Emmerdale-style mass cull.

Dh suggested that The Bull might burn down...

Have just downloaded a radio app so I can listen on my iPhone as despite starting over an hour ago dd2 is still feeding and not gone to sleep
