So... it's driving me MAD. They are TOYING WITH US. TOYING, I TELL YOU... Three dull episodes after another. So to liven things up, please can we all guess what it actually going to happen on Sunday? By the way, I have no idea, so this isn't a spoiler thread, just a game. Me first (incidentally, I think all the Hellin/Emmur baby stuff is a red herring):

1 Jamie hospitalised (or worse) with overdose. Kathy suicidal.
2 Outsiders robbing The Bull and shooting Fallon and/or Harry dead. Or robbing Lower Loxley and taking out Lizzie, Nigel and the twins.
3 Kenton and Jolene to emigrate/elope to New Zealand together.

Anyone else? Come on, let's play.

Harry outed as secret Archer love child.

GrimmaTheNome · 30/12/2010 15:59

There's a couple of other threads covering this, you know! Smile

blackeyedsusan · 30/12/2010 16:21

Boring boring boring, no not you the last 3 episodes of course. I think something to do with will and emma, but it is haardly village shaking. May be a small earth tremour making the church steeple fall on a whole load of preferably annoying villages?

Ok so I've not got a clue and am coming up with peculiar stuff cos I have been awake 6 nights in a row with poorly children. hope I don't sleep through Sundays episode!

OhBuggerandArse · 30/12/2010 22:56

Helen's sperm donor turns out to be Someone She Knows. Possibly Someone She Is Related To, depending on how far Whitburn will push things. And then some other people die in a car crash.

GreenButton · 31/12/2010 15:06

Helen has a Vidal Sassoon haircut, and gives birth to the Devil, 'Rosemary's Baby' style. The local coven snatch the baba away.

Pip on her driving test, instructor asks her to reverse round a corner and she reverses into Jude who was just stepping off the pavement.

Jazzer deep fries some mars bars as a hangover cure for Fallon and Jolene, and burns the Bull down.

Nigel and Kenton decide to go BASE jumping off Lakey Hill, only Kenton packed both parachutes and Nigel's a gonner.

bea · 31/12/2010 18:59

already said it on another thread... but i will put my two bits worth here too!! lizzie or nigel to keel over... the brooch providing tear jerking moment!!!!

Lilymaid · 31/12/2010 19:19

DH (veteran Archers hater) has just pronounced on Tony "Is he going to snuff it?"
Another red herring - Tony to suffer death by tractor just as John did?

zisforzebra · 31/12/2010 19:55

Yes, after the broach stuff today, puzzle or Nigel will die. My money's on Lizzie.

Kirk1 · 31/12/2010 23:01

I do think it sounds like Tony's either going to work himself into a heart attack or hang himself from a beam in the pig shed... He sounded totally defeated over Helen.

Northernlebkuchen · 31/12/2010 23:21

Did you notice that Helen is going to the party of Doom at Lower Loxley? Placental abruption coming her way I think.

PrincessFiorimonde · 01/01/2011 13:15

Freddie to shoot Lily because he can't stand the thought of another Maths test.

Alternatively, Lily to shoot Freddie because she can't stand his success in the panto.

Better still, they both kill each other.

Or how about this: Jude reappears, swears undying love to Pipsqueak, they run off together, Daveed pursues them in a hay baler and they all get taken out by the hay rustler?

DP's money is on Matt's brother Paul reappearing and Matt killing him.

jodevizes · 01/01/2011 13:20

Lets hope Harry runs amok and guns down Linda Snell, I just cannot do another Christmas with her dramas over the pantomime or any other village drama production. There are only so many times it can end on her wondering if the play will ever happen.

Otherwise there are more red herrings than in a Russian fishmongers. I think it will come out of the left field. How about Peggy running off with the chap whose wife is in the home? Mmm, too tame.

Susan finally snaps and makes a batch of Vicky yoghurt's.

Harry runs off with Ian, he seems quite reluctant about getting it on with Fallon.

Big fire, big death, big fire with big death.

Fergie (Sarah) decides to move to Ambridge in an attempt to downsize and curb her spending.

LaLoose · 01/01/2011 14:03

I did think after last night that Tony might top himself, Kirk1. That would be quite VW AND Radio 4...: undiagnosed suicidal middle-aged man.

OP posts:
Kirk1 · 01/01/2011 16:47

Classic DH, he asked what I was sniggering about and I explained that we have been promised an "event to shake Ambridge" and he replies "An earthquake?"

If someone has to die for this, I would love it to be Helen, she's been needing a kick in the teeth for so long...

piprabbit · 01/01/2011 16:54

I think death might be a little more than a kick in the teeth Grin.

I'm sure it's Nigel. Lizzie will be usual nightmare self and then he'll die and she will find the wrapped brooch tucked amongst his belongings in a day or two, labelled and telling her how much he loves her .

boogeek · 01/01/2011 18:30

I've just listenend to all of last week, in order to prepare myself for tomorrow. After the panto triumph: it is going to be Lynda, isn't it.

Northernlebkuchen · 01/01/2011 22:36

i did wonder about Lynda - would certainly impact on the village!

SparklyMartini · 01/01/2011 22:56

Nooooo! I love Lynda. She rocks.

Sinkingfeeling · 01/01/2011 23:14

Nigel's already given Lizzie the brooch, piprabbit. The SATTC must involve them and Lower Loxley somehow though. The brooch must have some sort of special poignancy. Tony's mental health has taken a battering recently too. Maybe he and Helen will be forced into eachother's company by some crisis involving Helen's baby and Tony's tractor? :)

ElfPantsAtMidnightMass · 02/01/2011 00:42

This is driving me mad too, and PLEASE can someone tell me (as a frequent-misser of episodes) who the hell Harry is and where/when he came from?

boogeek · 02/01/2011 09:29

Harry came to Ambridge as the new milkman and rapidly ensconced himself as far too good to be true ;)

Prinnie · 02/01/2011 10:34

Maybe someone confronts Helen about her BVVU to Tony and she's so shocked and outraged at someone questioning her behaviour she hyperventilates herself into an early grave.

heronsfly · 02/01/2011 11:43

I think Harry might attack/kill jazzer after a gunpoint siege.
He has been far too keen to be jazzers friend, maybe jazz has slept with his wife, distroyed the marrage and Harry is out for revenge.

ElfPantsAtMidnightMass · 02/01/2011 11:49

No-one ever has a straightforward birth in the Archers, do they? Might Tony & Pat have to choose between saving Helen or her prem baby?

Harry to kill everyone then? At Lower Loxley?

ragged · 02/01/2011 11:53

Gosh, Elf, I would have said they have too many straightforward births. Ruth popping her youngest out at home inbetween milking sessions, for instance.

-----

Arsonist Harry torches the Bull; in her grief Jolene hasn't kept up insurance payments so it can't be rebuilt.

Helen has the baby early who is fine, but after 6 weeks of parenthood she clocks she's not cut out for it and insists on giving it up for adoption.

Kate Middleton comes to the party this evening :).
