Yes commiserations @Merluzzo. That was a great streak. Even with use of hints and Google at times my streaks are never very long. Am lucky if I get to double figures!

The Connections Companion (the lightbulb symbol at the top of the puzzle) has a picture at the top which gives a hint to at least one of the connections. There are also hints in there that give you one of each category. There’s a link on there to the chat which I sometimes look at after I’ve solved it to enjoy the non-American anguish.
