Diva you do make me laugh

DH never knew Elton John was gay. He met him once, even got a hug of him, so he was quite when I told him he was gay.

maxybrown · 14/07/2010 22:12

See, Basl _ I am now not sure who is winning the race - you or Diva oh I love you both, sooooooooo funny

maxybrown · 14/07/2010 22:19

I meant that in a nice way btw

GeekOfTheWeek · 14/07/2010 22:19

Next have really pissed me off.

Eventually got on the vip sale then it took 3, yes 3, hours to order 21 items Then I got to checkout, after waiting 15 minutes for it to load, and most of my order was out of stock. To remove said items took a further half hour

Fuckers.

Don't bother diva.

Probably quicker to crawl walk to your local store. And less irritating too

Bastards.

Divatheshopaholic · 14/07/2010 22:21

I actually found out Freddie Mercury was gay after his death, and i cried, i cried more than i cried when he died.

I did not know Stephen Fry either, i just felt soooo sad How come i did not know he was jolly, too. Im not sexist honestly, i would love gay boyfriend, like on SITC.

basl · 14/07/2010 22:23

Move to Scotland Diva and we can be a double act

Elton John Gay??? now you've got to be kidding right?

5in what pushchair are you going to get them. I saw a stokke thingy while i was on my travels today. I really am going to have to stop staring at people and prams. Does anyone else do that? Remember i asked some woman if i could push her sport 03 on the nursery run .

maxybrown · 14/07/2010 22:26

Oh god i am laugh laugh laughing now - oh you have cheered me up no end.....aaaaaahhhhhh you are both fabulous!

Geek - I get the impression you are a little peeved?

Divatheshopaholic · 14/07/2010 22:29

basl · 14/07/2010 22:43

Yeeeehaaa geek you tell em. I am going to try and get up for the sale in the morning 5am so i will look for my wee pals fitted boxers while i am there.

Wine!!! i would kill for a glass and i have 4 bottles sitting in my kitchen but no i am not going to.

maxybrown · 14/07/2010 22:48

oh Have i told you that I love you basl? {grin] I am thinking I should start writing a book about you for your "wee pal" then he feels like he know you and can be appreciative

basl · 14/07/2010 23:03

ditto!!!
I don't think that would be appropriate reading for a child Maxy. I don't want him thinking i am a scary lady. Maybe some of my funny stories would go down ok with him. Oh that reminds me did i ever tell you and sorry if i have told you about the time i bleached my mums carpet.

Once apon a time there was a foolish girl called Basl and she was training to be a hairdresser. She offered to bleach her best friends hair in her parents living room which had a new carpet. Now the silly girl knocked the bleach over the carpet but decided to give it a wipe and then go out with friend with her new hairdo.
That night Basl returned home to find the very angry big sister who was in charge while mummy and daddy where on holiday. "what are we going to do about this she asked" There was a bright pink massive patch on the nylon blue's and grey's carpet.

"oh no" said Basl i am so sorry and started to cry.
Big sister replied "Don't worry you are good at drawing right?" So off the went to town and bought various shades of shoe dye and felt tip pens.
Basl worked all night on her hands and knees colouring in the pink patch. She was very good at art you see so she matched the swirl perfectly.
A week later her mummy and daddy returned and did not notice the clever cover up, infact they never ever noticed it, even when the had the carpet cleaned and poor basl felt awfully sick at the thought of being found out.
The colour did not remove and one day they bought a new carpet many years after and wondered what all the blue markings on the underlay where.
Basl decided to come clean and own up to her cover up. Her parents thought it was genius and felt so sorry she had to live with that worry for so long.
So James the moral of this story is always come clean and tell mummy and daddy the truth as they will always understand.
The End.

maxybrown · 14/07/2010 23:10

5inthebed · 15/07/2010 07:47

Oh Basl you are so funny! What did you use to colour it in with?

I feel a bit rough this morning, couldn't sleep again and was up with DH at half 5. Insomnia is not fun!

FlyMeToDunoon · 15/07/2010 12:06

Hello all.
Big sister, husband and their dog are here for a few days. The cats have flipped. One disappeared and one peed in my bedroom. Nice!
Nasty day and I might have to go and watch junior sports day this afternoon. Luckily the infant one was cancelled.
Love your colouring in story basl. I have coloured in the children's scuffed shoes before but yours was colouring on an epic scale.

maxybrown · 15/07/2010 12:12

Hello all, well it is terrible here. Really need to go out for various things but it' soooooooo windy and throing it down. So will prob be drowned before I reach the end of the street

basl · 15/07/2010 12:30

Oh poor you Flyme at the sports day. Thats nice for you to have your sister there to visit. Do you get along with your sister? and poor little cats.

5in i used those sponge type shoe dye and felt tip pens. My parents carpet was that sort of really old fashioned nylon type huge swirls of all diff shades of blue/grey.

Not connected by when flyme said about colouring scuffed shoes. For anyone that has startrite shoes. Did you know that if you take a very light sandpaper or emmary board and sand very lightly over a scuff it will bring out the under colour and much better to put the scuff stuff on. Olivia scuffed her pink with little cherries on shoes [loved these sooo much] after only a day and i tried everything so the girl in the shop contacted a rep and thats what they recommended. It works a treat.

I feel a bit like tony heart now.

Been raining very hard here too but very muggy.

GeekOfTheWeek · 15/07/2010 12:36

at the bleach!

I got drenched on the school run this morning. I need some dry weather as got to get the washing done for holiday.

Only just getting over the next debacle. Was still seething this morning. I may even have to have more wine tonight because of it.

maxybrown · 15/07/2010 12:57

basl · 15/07/2010 13:11

Yes useless info but i have lots

Everyone getting wet then

Geek whats happening now with your dh? If you don't mind me asking

Daniel asleep and Olivia is opening all the stuff she got for her little office. She has loads of little note books, pens, craft things[may come in handy for a carpet botch up] and a secret diary. So she is happy to play with out her cousins and not running up to her Grandads.

maxybrown · 15/07/2010 13:13

It's been raining from the ground up here! But stopped now and sunshine yay! Some fishy fingers for us then oot.

GeekOfTheWeek · 15/07/2010 14:06

I don't mind at all basl.

Telederm imaging was reviewd by consultant who wants to re telederm & review in 3 months. All copies of reports have been sent in post so we can take them to gp and demand request removal of lesion (mole). Or we can just go with the 3 month review. Imo he should have it removed rather than waiting around.

basl · 15/07/2010 15:03

oh yes i would agree geek. So just waiting on the reports arriving then and off to the gp's?
