i can't imagine luka in a uniform he comes home filthy this time of year from nursery from playing out. often full change of clothes needed! making most of last winter of him not in a uniform.

we went to school again with tate today he's so excited can't wait to start.

maxybrown · 08/07/2010 22:27

It's only half a day so still need clothes

I do have a very clean son i have to say

All over - needed 18/24 but got some next M&S and Boots

basl · 08/07/2010 22:27

Maxy that was so funny, i love when i lol at the pc. It is great when Olivia puts on accents i really love it. She even puts on a slang scottish accent to annoy me. A dinnae ken hen. She sounds so odd saying that but she thinks it is hilarious.
I have been looking at uniform for Olivia and it is so stressful when you have a skinny kid but thankfully her best friend and my niece is skinny too so lots of recommendations.
Next does seem popular for the adjustable uniforms.

We went to the park at 11am with my nephew who seems to think he has moved in with us but his little brother's nose is out of joint so he is getting to stay a couple of nights next week. We got home at 4pm and what a time we had. There is a trampoline sunk into the ground and one of ben's friends can do flip thingys over all his friends. I was stunned. He would take a big run, jump and then twist and twirl over about 4 boys. I had to ask him to stop in case he hurt himself but that went down like a lead balloon. Then Daniel ran like the clappers and jumped up and down and then climbed out and tried to do a forward roll. so cute and ben was soooo showing off to the girls with him. This is the park were his old house used to back onto and all his friends are here thats why he likes to stay around my house so he can keep in with his old friends. I do so wish i could still pop in to his mums for a coffee but such is life.
We then went to the local community center for lunch on his recommendation and i have to say i am such a snob when it comes to this but i was so surprised. The food was lovley and all homemade and all the kids ate the lot. So then a long walk home and a little stop at the bakers for a cake and then home. Ben is staying again tonight .

maxybrown · 08/07/2010 22:35

story of my life Nic that one, but I have to not think about it or I would be very depressed and never stop crying i don't think.

Our hosepipe ban comes in tomorrow

nicolamumof3 · 08/07/2010 22:37

i went to bed at 8.30 last night and cried and cried my eyes out. Dh didn't even notice he was watching football I know i need to make more effort to get out and am now trying to i feel so much better for it.

basl · 08/07/2010 22:45

mmmm sure you know my feelings on this matter nicola. When you say make more effort to get out do you mean on your own? I have to say since i have been taking a break from kids and having a day out here and there and time to myself it does help but not always easy if you don't have people to take kids for you.
I do think you are making perfect sense but sometimes hard to take our own advice eh? I so wish i could just click my fingers and be down to visit you all. I am soooo going to get this arranged.
Hope you are ok nicola

maxybrown · 08/07/2010 22:47

Yeah time out - ooh lovely! We have never had a night out since we met, DH and I

nicolamumof3 · 08/07/2010 22:48

im ok thanks basl.

i never get break from boys and sometimes it is wearing. Just an hour once or twice a week would be good. I love my boys so much tho. I just feel very cut off sometimes. people all around but im on my own. Sorry to go on. Honestly im fine!!

basl · 08/07/2010 23:20

Hope you sleep well Nicola and hope to see the pics of your new xt. Is it coming tomorrow?

Maxy enjoy Southport and if you see my Auntie Joan tell her i love her. You will recognize her she is a little lady with grey hair. xxx

maxybrown · 08/07/2010 23:24

I will Basl, I will

She's probably on the ever lasting stretch of sand eh? Sure I'll spot her xxx

roastedfox · 09/07/2010 08:23

had a fab day yesterday with the meet up, was great seeing everyone in rl. you ladies are fab & so are your little cuties!
nicola good to have you back. i too can find it hard not having a break from the boys as i'm on my own but one night when your dh is working and the kids are in bed you should arrange for a few of your girl friends to come round for a glass of wine or 2! thats what i do & it keeps me sane(ish)

GeekOfTheWeek · 09/07/2010 10:22

Good morning,

Welcome back nic

Enjoyed meeting yesterday. Lovely ladies and the 4 (5 inc mine!) boys were gorgeous and so well behaved.

My older 2 are staying at my grans tonight as dh and I have an appt in manchester in the morning. Out for a pub meal tonight then doing some holiday shopping tomorrow afternoon following appt. Really looking forward to it, dh has the capacity for carrying far more bags than I can!

I saw a mb in the lift in debenhams last week, really liked it.

5in, have you decided on the luna mix yet?

FlyMeToDunoon · 09/07/2010 10:43

Hello, well I got rid of waved goodbye to the last friend hanging around last night Have had my scottish old friends down and had a lovely time eating, drinking and chatting.
I too am on my own most of the time and although I am fine atm have found it very difficult at times. I am so busy just now sorting out the house that I haven't had a moment to refect. I take time out at the weekends to regroup and refresh.
We should really meet up Nicola but I am such a feardy cat, sorry.
Anyway nice to have the gang all back in the shed.

basl · 09/07/2010 11:11

Flyme lol what are you feard about? Well i hope your not too feard when i get my act together and get down to see you all before my birthday. I was thinking of having a big party and asking you all to come to it. You could all stay in a travel in and we could meet up the next day. I was thinking about this while walking myself last night. I love walking on my own as i seem to chat all day and i like my own space sometimes.

FlyMeToDunoon · 09/07/2010 11:11

What was the verdict on sun cream removal from pushchair covers? I have white stains on a Mac cover which haven't come out in the wash.
Also is there a cupholder suitable for a Micralite?
Oh and do Maclaren Techno Classic covers fit on a Quest does anyone know?

FlyMeToDunoon · 09/07/2010 11:31

Oh sorry basl I didn't see your post. I am probably just anti-social but start getting all the thoughts about will they like me, I will be so boring, there will be long pauses aaargh. I'm dreadful and just avoid social occasions.

OP posts:
GeekOfTheWeek · 09/07/2010 11:38

Did I hear a party mentioned?

FlyMe, I think most feel like that to some extent. Wine helps

FlyMeToDunoon · 09/07/2010 11:43

Oh yes

Anyway sun cream stains? I have read back but can't find the right bit.

OP posts:
GeekOfTheWeek · 09/07/2010 11:47

Not sure on the suncream but i have had to throw lots of clothes away due to suncream stains. Couldn't get them out.

Divatheshopaholic · 09/07/2010 11:49

Morning all,

I was soo tired i went bed early. I had coffee morning at our house this morning.Lovely day here again, and we sat outside whilst children played in the garden.

Aww, Nicola. I felt so sorry for you. I used to cry loads a few years back after i had dd. I did not have many frineds and i felt like prisoner of my own house. I did not drive either, and we live away of civilization.

I now make every effort to meet people and keep my friends close. We went to cinema SITC a few weeks ago, and we all loved it. Sometimes we just go each other`s house in the evenings after children in bed, and have a chat and glass of wine. There are 3 of us live in the same housing estate, and we catch up and have girly night.

I think, it will be great if we all meet up for a day as we disgussed ages ago
Pyjama meet up and glass of wine

nicolamumof3 · 09/07/2010 12:16

Afternoon ladies, phew its v.hot out there today.. Just back from park with friends (yes see i do have some!) now cooling off and having some lunch then take tate to nursery and collect luka.

Two maclaren liners arrived in post but still waiting on xt....

nicolamumof3 · 09/07/2010 12:17

oh suncream stains..well mine was moreover just a greasy stain not sure if was suncream or something else. rubbed lots of fairy liquid in then washed with vanish did definitely help to lift it.

I have a neoprene bottle holder by sunshine kids velcro's onto nipper bar quite good was £3.99.

Divatheshopaholic · 09/07/2010 12:39

Yes, i think fairy liquid and varnish is the best for suncream stain, i think you never remove suncream stain, though.
Glad you had busy morning,Nicola

FlyMeToDunoon · 09/07/2010 12:55

Would the sunshine kids holder hold drinks upright? Like a coffee for instance
