yeah it does come off. and i do machine wash it. its a grease spot (greggs sausage roll ) gave to my eldest not the baby of course!

i was thinking of trying vanish.. but worried it would damage the material

lillypie · 07/07/2010 10:00

What about putting a scoop of vanish in the wash?Or Ariel liquid is fab on greese, rub a little into the stain and wash as normal - that's what I would do.

GeekOfTheWeek · 07/07/2010 10:28

Morning.

Where would you pick for your weekend maxy? How exciting! Are we still meeting tmorrow?

5in, when is your move date?

maxybrown · 07/07/2010 10:53

washing up liquid on grease!

Yup still meeting!

I think I would like yorkshire really as we will often go to wales anyway, we are already going to cornwall this summer (and it is very far to drive for 2 nights) and I haven't much been to yorkshire

lillypie · 07/07/2010 11:45

I am sunburnt,I feel so stupid I haven't been sunburnt for about 25 years!!!

Went out with my friend and her little fiend boy to the park yesterday and forgot the sunscrean.I never go anywhere without factor 50 (red head, freckles - grew up in Oz)

DD is fine she has gone as brown as a berry but I an suffering and the little fiend boy squashed blueberries into my new Volo!

On a happier note anyone in the Bristol area, Vassells Play Park is FAB for kids and they little cafe as well.

maxybrown · 07/07/2010 11:47

I need to get to london next tuesday be there before 10am ideally and it cost no more than £70 don't think I can do it, return! boo hoo!

5inthebed · 07/07/2010 12:39

Oh Maxy, Yorkshire is lovely! Not far from me either

Why do you need to get to London?

My guinea pig died last night, she was 6 years old

Geek, not sure when we're moving, hopefully the end of the month. Passed the house today and there were loads of workmen there doing stuff. So hopefully we'll get the keys next week.

Lilly, hope your sunburn eases soon. Lots of aftersun.

maxybrown · 07/07/2010 15:13

oh poor guinea pig

I need to get to London as been selected to cook with Marco & turkey in London for the day. But it is costing a bomb to get there and only get £70 towards travel - but to get there at the right time (or earlier) it costs twice that. Or it means having no sleep and leaving the night before - plus they might be filming it so can you imagine the haggered mess I will look? I haven't got back to MN yet as really really want to go but can't find a way round it

lillypie · 07/07/2010 16:14

coach?

lillypie · 07/07/2010 17:30

Chris is a complete Numpty!!! I asked him to get something for dinner as I haven't been out.Yesterday we had fishfingers chips and peas because I defrosted the freezer. He has just walked in with fish chips and peas

He couldn't remember what we had had yesterday

maxybrown · 07/07/2010 17:41

Oh only a man!!

Yesterday I sent DH a text asking if he had heard from the garage if the car was ready - as I had a bus ticket he could use to go and collect it.....nope no message he said.

That was that.

Go to bed, see answering machine flashing

" Mr Burrows just to let you know your car is ready" left yesterday afternoon

Which messgaes did you check then I asked him? DUH!!! he just looked completely blank

roastedfox · 07/07/2010 17:59

maxy check out this website ojp.nationalrail.co.uk/en/s/farefinder/search

5inthebed · 07/07/2010 18:41

Aaaaargh my mac hood has mould/mildew on it!!! I've washed it and luckily it has come out. Must be from putting it in the car with the wet wheels sitting on it. Won't b doing that again in a hurry!

Hope you get to go Maxy! Sounds very exciting.

5inthebed · 07/07/2010 19:23

And thats another pram washed. Just washed the footwell, basket and seats from the twin P&T. How filthy! Probably years of muck and toddler dirt. Sign of a well used pram

lillypie · 07/07/2010 20:20

I love clean prams I even have little elasticated plastic bags that go over muddy/dirty wheels

5inthebed · 07/07/2010 20:41

haha Lillypie. I just use cheap Tesco plastic bags on my wheels. I'm clearly not up to your pram hun level

maxybrown · 07/07/2010 21:08

Is that when you're pushing it lillypie?

5inthebed · 07/07/2010 21:20

Maxy.

There is an Easylife pram on the boards for sale, £100 ONO plus postge? Any good for you? They're like mountain buggys.

basl · 07/07/2010 21:29

Evening, I am back from my trip to blackpool and maxy i forgot your number . It was so funny we were out the travel in at 9.30 on the tue morning and got the tram to the tower £5.00 later and spent the whole day there. It was great. Jungle jims was really good and my dh said "why don't you phone your friend and see if she can get the train here and i will pic her up" but then i mentioned what about the circus tickets etc and he said "Well he would foot the bill" I was super excited then i rummaged my bucket of a bag and left the number at home. Ahhhh would prob not have all worked out as planned anyway and been too late to get you to show.
Well blackpool was sooooo expensive but the kids loved the circus. Olivia was all the way and was doing jumps off the travel in bed when we got home all night infact trying to copy the acrobats. Blackpool is not how i remember it but the kids loved it. They had such a great time but the money was flying out our pocket. Daniel loved the big bed in the travel inn and would not stop giggling all night.

So lots of pushchair buying and selling [nicola please don't be on a break. From a selfish point of view i love to read all you have to say and would miss that. Pushchair thread minus nicola does not sit well with me]
5in hope your ds egg has gone down a bit wee lamb bet it was so sore.

I saw a shop on the way out of blackpool called new to you and it was a second hand pushchair shop. My head about snapped off but dh refused to stop and let me look. I said it would be only for a few mins but he just put the foot down.

I think Olivia has loved her 5th birthday so much and so have I.

maxybrown · 07/07/2010 21:35

ahhhhhhhhh glad you had a lovely time.

Would have loved to have come over

never mind - next time my friend, next time! And big thanks to DH for the suggestion anyway

Bit exensive for me 5in but thanks. They only go for about £50 or so on ebay - just never near by!

5inthebed · 07/07/2010 21:37

Oh really? not so much of a bargain then.

Basl, his head is fine now thanks, just a bit blue.

Glad you all had a lovely time in Blackpool. Wish Iw as still going so I could have a look in that pram shop!

maxybrown · 07/07/2010 21:39

Am very touched I was thought enough of to go to Blackpool - even though you didn't think of e enough to take my number hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hee hee hee.

Right off to bed so I can meet the girls tomorrow without looking too much of an old trout Nighteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

maxybrown · 07/07/2010 21:44

Hmm, no 5in not really. I just checked again and £50 is max! they have been selling for between 10 and 25 mainly!

basl · 07/07/2010 22:42

Well Maxy, the number was on one of Olivia's brand new post it notes and very bright and easy to notice but yes that and all her new hair clips and bobbles, my glasses, and a change of clothes for the last day for me all sitting on a little pile at the bottom of my stairs. I had to wear my dh t shirt and the same jeans from day before. I was not looking my best i have to say but olivia was fine as we just got her some new hair bits n pieces. I am a numpty heed at remembering things infact just got an email asking if i sent the converse trainers i sold on ebay and guess what they are sat beside that nice little pile on the stairs. hope the lady believes me.

Those Easylife pushchairs get great reviews. Oh and i made a friend in Blackpool. I think she was a local drunk. She spotted us and started walking along with me and Daniel while dh walked a head. She was ever so sweet but walking and drinking those strong beers. She was so chatty and lovely but i was told off for getting into a conversation with her but i liked her. Oh and the man that walked his ferrat on a lead and my dh and i both had our fortunes told. It reduced my dh to tears me too when he told me his was £20.

lillypie · 08/07/2010 08:05

I am not so bad to be a real pram hun you have to use shower guard on your raincover .

Easylife prams are great but do go for peanuts on ebay! The XTS on ebay went for £!6 so would have been a bargain -loving mine
