Anyone have a Bececar Vector Duo Tandem buggy?

I'm just researching double buggies

Ds will be 2.4 when ds2 arrives but he is small for his age.

Wondering if anyone has one of these and what it's been like to use generally...

I've already ruled out a phil and teds and nipper 360 before anyone recommends them

i have just bought one for my twins, not really test driven it yet. its just as long as my mountain buggy double urban (side by side) and obviously alot narrower. the seats are really good quality but there is a knack to getting them on and off (certainly not as easy as the icandy pear) the wheels are quick release so the chassis can be really small. the seats can be made smaller for storage when not on the buggy and they sit in each other so take up less room in the car. with the seats on, its not the lightest of buggies and the mountain buggy is lighter to push even when i have two on buggyboards behind.
the bebecar seats lay really flat and have big hoods you can turn the footrest up so the seat turns into a carrycot. i am a big fan of air tyres so i am not sure about the bebecars solid tyres. i have to say, it looks really big even though it isnt and i think this is because the seats are high and quite chunky? when i put it next to my jane powertwin it looks big but is actually shorter in length. i love the fact i can have the seats anyway so the twins can face eachother or both towards me. you would probably have the older child facing out and the baby facing you. because the seats are higher you get alot more contact with the children than the jane powertwin and the mountain buggy.
i had a really small age gap with my older two (less than 17months) and i had several doubles. the best i had was the mountain buggy double urban, its still the best now i have twins my 5 year old still can fit in the seat and tries to get a ride. the only problem is i cant get into the doctors or dentist with it so i need an inline buggy as well. i wouldnt think the icandy pear would suit you even though it was fantastic for twins i know i wouldnt have liked it for my older two when they were small.
another buggy that i really liked was the ABC everest with toddler seat.

I do like the idea of something like the mountain double urban maybe for when the youngest is a bit older. I really liked ds facing me when he was younger so want to do the same with number 2...

I live in a small town where a lot of the shops are small and have narrow doorways too so that's something I have to think of with the width, plus my doorway at home is narrow and I have to turn right then left when I come in so need a tandem really..

Did you buy yours brand new? I'm hoping to find a 2nd hand one cheaper

i got mine from e-bay as new for half retail price, its only been used a few times. i can take some photos of it as i found there are not many photos online apart from those listed on e-bay.

Ooh I hope I find a similar bargain!

I'd love to see it with the baby seat facing the pusher in carrycot mode and the front seat facing out in toddler mode

Any photo's you have would be really helpful though!

Another very similar pram is the mamas and papas duette, I had one for dd3 and dd4 as there is only 13 month between them. Dd4 would go in the full size carrycot at the front and then dd3 rearfacing in a seat at the back.

rthere is a duette on ebay at the moment but it isn't listed as duette.

try searching mamas and papas double or twin and it will come up i think.
it might be listed as duo or something, but def not duette cos i noticed and thought oooh bargain

My sister in law has a Bebecar Duo and LOVES it!!! It is perfect for her, new baby can face her either in carrycot or car seat and then 2 yr old can face out and see everything. It also feels sturdy rather than flimsy to push, oh and so agree with Mel2005 on the seats as they fold in like a consetina making them easier to get in the car. I'm definately having this pram from her in the future .

i liked the mamas and papas duette as well but its much longer and after having a few problems with the quality of mamas and papas buggies in the past i have been cautious spending money on them. they do look fab though and i think any of the (is it??) G? system seats/carrycots etc fit on them. the car seats dont have such a great safety rating either which is why john lewis stopped selling them.
anyway i made a spread sheet up for sizes (how sad am i??)

Also i have a sticky handle button so i called bebecar and they are actually a few miles away so are doing it this afternoon. they have great aftersales service even though i didnt buy it new.

what can i say they are fantastic, i have new handle buttons and they adjusted the folding mechanism so it opens and shuts so smoothly and checked it all. like a mini service and they did it for free. they were lovely, what a great service!!

that sounds great mel!

i am seriously considering the bebecar if anything happens to my stroll-air i've ordered (they've already cancelled the order once!)

the only thing i worry about is whether it will be too heavy at the front to be able to get up and down kerbs easily?
i recently sold my bebe confort twin club for that reason

havent managed to get it out of the car for photos yet. if i wanted to use it for a toddler and baby like all inlines they say put the heavier child at the back because its easier to push and go up and down curbs. with the bebecar you could have the older child in the back facing outwards and the baby at the front facing inwards in the seat converted to the carrycot style. the toddler would then still be able to see out over the carrycot and you can still see baby. it would be better to push then and you will still have great contact with the older child. i will investigate this tomorrow and take some photos. it is really stable so wouldnt tip like some inlines with a toddler at the front. it might be heavy with a toddler in the front but i cant think of an inline that will not be heavy with the toddler at the front and baby at the back.

i liked the look of the twinclub and was tempted with the one on e-bay last week.
