Hi. I tried DD2 with a little life back pack and it was a nightmare. She is/was a bolter and it was like having an enthusiastic dog on a lead! She would be wound around me or some strangers legs and straining at the strap or lying on the floor. Really bad.
Reins were better but when she was younger. At a later stage she loved the buggy board.
Congrats on BJCM 5in!
I have arranged courier for the Mamu for Monday. Hope I like it.

5inthebed · 06/11/2009 20:46

DS2 had the bee one, it looked so cute on him with the little hood.

My dad can be lovely. He is usually rescuing my sister from debt, so he probably feels a bit guilty that he never helps me out because he is always bailing her out . Not that I'd ever expect him to, I am a grown up after all. He'll probably tell me it's an early birthday present, but its a fantastic one!

nicolamumof3 · 06/11/2009 20:47

yes its navy its just plain cotton got a few buttons down the front its nice, £2.50 del maxy

janx · 06/11/2009 20:48

That does sound a nightmare - my dd was pretty compliant at this age and was really good at holding my hand...ds is a completely different character...he often takes absoutely no notice of me asking to do things - he sort of looks of me like I'm barking

maxybrown · 06/11/2009 20:49

yes please Nic, been after a plain navy top! I'll PP you now.

ds walks nicely but point blank refuses to hold hands and it worries me too much so i then force him into buggy if we are walking anywhere near a road, then theres a 'scene' tates always been good holding hands or holding side of buggy. i prefer him in pushchair tbh, i want him in it as long as possible as i need somewhere to put all my shopping/swimming/school stuff etc!!!

right ordered dh electric shaver, jamie oliver spice rack, ds1 some lynx!!, Luka peppa pig puzzle and cars aquadraw...getting there with my xmas shopping!! and think of all those points!!

maxybrown · 06/11/2009 20:51

Jan my DS sounds like your DD. He is very good really, and is very very good at understanding ultimatum's hee hee. He clings to my Mother's hand for dear life when she is here so that I don't put him in the pushchair.

DS has the turtle one. They are cute but I do feel a bit like he's a dog on a lead

i wasn't that impressed with my kaiser when i ordered one, felt a bit stiff? i wanted all soft and bouncy feeling!!!

still loving the lodger maxy?

i've been using mac all week universal mac footmuff is doing fine, even tate fits in it!!

Disenchanted3 · 06/11/2009 21:32

anyone know any other big soft footmuffs??

FlyMeToDunoon · 06/11/2009 21:32

Maybe too new Nicola
I loved the lime one I had last year. And with DD being three now the centre opening is easier to get her into.

FlyMeToDunoon · 06/11/2009 21:33

Jane nest plus Dis. They are lovely.

maxybrown · 06/11/2009 21:37

Oh yes! Can really really recommend a lodger, wish I had found it when DS was little, but he has plenty of room, and like dunoon said about kaiser, the centre opening ie perfect, so easy to fling open if too hot etc. love love love it! One of my best purchases yet!
