Thanks Maxy will post tomorrow x

Morning.
Nicola DD3 is using her mini micro now. DD2 got one for her b. day last year and DD3 was very jealous so a friend of mine offered an old one on extended loan.
She called the loan in a year later and DD was so used to having 'her' scooter we just had to do it. I couldn't see her lasting until christmas waiting for one.
Guess she will be getting something very small for her Christmas present!
They are great little things and I think the children love the feeling of speed and control they can have on them.
Basi I am a bit like Nicola. I have my XT and on the whole am content. I have had a wonderful year trying out lots of different pushchairs. Had a great time. Now the fire has died down. I still look at pushchairs a lot though.
I like to consider which one I would have if I ever had a very late baby

Same as me dunoon nothing wrong with a bit of virtual shopping!

I think the XT takes alot of beating as a stroller its great for luka and Tate.

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/10/2009 09:03

XT is so much better than a lot of things I have tried. It must be designed very well. I think the angle of the handles works well for getting even a heavy toddler up kerbs.

thats why you see so many and they are still popular after all these years. sound like a right oldie don't i!!

5inthetomb · 04/10/2009 09:11

The thing I didn't like about the XT is the plastic handles. I prefer foam handles.

Decided not to sell the Spitfire . Would work out too expensive having to buy a BJCM and a few footmuff, so have decided to keep til after the winter and then maybe sell. Still have the MPX, but have it on Ebay. I have a best offer for it, an I should accept it, but the thought of having to package it up is making me not want to. Maybe I could drop it off at the MIL's and arrange the courier from there?

Basl, I hate it when I have my pram head on, because it's the only thing I think about. I've been good though for the past 4 weeks, and not lusted after anything.

I have mydriving test very soon, and feel sick to my stomach with nerves

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/10/2009 09:14

I on the other hand prefer the plastic handles!
Good luck with the driving test 5in, whenever it is.
One thing that does put me off getting anything else is the packing up and waiting in for couriers business.

Haven't been on here for a while and have just read through everything, I think we should rename this the clothing shed, lol!

scattykatty · 04/10/2009 11:54

Ha ha it does seem to digress at lot! Lovely and sunny here, celebrating DH's birthday today as he's away on Tuesday 2 wash loads on the line....excellent! Off to Next to get a birthday present for SIL and take DS to a huge soft play arena.

nicolamumof3 · 04/10/2009 12:12

its lovely and sunny here, DH took me back to sainsbo's got boys tops and some lined trousers for Tate v.nice and cheap the lined tops just like boden were £9.50 each plus 25pc off.

i love the techno handles.

JigglyPiggy · 04/10/2009 14:33

afternoon everyone

basl - not sure when the buggy thing goes away. only yesterday DH said to DD who is 4 "what shall we get mummy for christmas" DD's answer was "perhaps.... a new buggy?" DH and I could not stop laughing!!

on the subject of clothing I am struggling to find clothes for DS. he is 4mths but he is in 6-9 and some 9-12mths. He has only just gone into 6-9mth sleepysuits but they are hard to fasten around the crotch area as hes is so long in the body so is now in 9-12mths.

Does / has anyone else had to buy for a bigger baby? or can anyone suggest where to get not so tight fitting clothes?

maxybrown · 04/10/2009 14:42

H&M are roomy jiggly their sleepsuits/rompers are fab. Also they are without feet so great for bigger babies as you can turn legs up and add socks if need be! My DS isn't big at all, but at 2 he can comfortably fit in the 12/18 month ones from H&M

carrielou2007 · 04/10/2009 14:55

Afternoon all.

I don't think the buggy obsession ever stops...

Got my denum bug cam, denim pliko and black xt - splodge is very well sorted. Unless I get a pliko switch to have rear facing compact buggy for longer than 5/6 months and new ziko nicey with new proper harness in green insted of the very lovely black xt. What's wrong with me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JigglyPiggy · 04/10/2009 15:02

ta maxy

I am thinking perhaps it would be easier to go for rompers with long legs/sleeves but he always gets his socks off! he is so big everyone thinks he is nearer 9mths!

I am currently fighting the urge to keep him in the pram carrycot as he is getting too big for it but I still want my little baby boy (which he has'nt been for 3.5mths now!!)

maxybrown · 04/10/2009 15:15

oh bless him! Gap socks are fab at staying on. They do the plain ones at 3 for a fiver. DS was long in the body when he was small and that is what I did, I have seen a few people on the internet commenting on Gap socks for that reason! Also JoJo do some stay put things for socks. here

maxybrown · 04/10/2009 15:16

Think Gap socks better option though looking at the size of those sock thingies.

5inthetomb · 04/10/2009 15:36

Jiggly, DS3 is a sumo baby. He is 10 months and already in 12-18 month old stuff . As it happens, I'll be selling some lovely Mothercare sleepsuits aged 9-12 soon and also a Roche little Roche suit. Lots of room in them. . Tesco as well are quite generous, and M&S as well.

Just sold the MPX locally for £30 and no Ebay fees. Happy happy me

JigglyPiggy · 04/10/2009 15:52

5in - give me a shout when you are ready to sell. Love the name, I want a halloween name but i have zero imagination so if anyone has any suggestions?!

thanks maxy, will have a look in gap later in the week. I have seen him a few times using his foot to wriggle the sock of the other foot and when its gone he uses the free foot to get the other sock off!!!

maxybrown · 04/10/2009 16:10

lol, I'll be amazed if he gets the gap socks off! get the roll over top ones - if that makes sense??

Oh very good 5in that's always better!

scattykatty · 04/10/2009 16:49

Maxy, DS really needs some wellies... Are the Hunters working out for your DS? If so I'll get mine the red Hunter ones from Next (I LOVE red)

maxybrown · 04/10/2009 16:54

I love red too. (but not for me!)he's only worn them once SK! bet you he will grow out of them before any real use They are very nice. My Mum bought me some in February and they are the comfiest wellies I have ever had.

scattykatty · 04/10/2009 17:00

Yeah I've got a green Huntress pair, lovely!

Ok, well I'll hold off for a wee bit then if you think DS might grow out of them soonish.

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/10/2009 17:12

I am scared. I have a Jane Nest Plus on ebay and it's still at the starting bid of £9.99 with 3 and a bit hours to go.
Please bid you 12 watchers!
