i think that they are so accepting, more so as they are younger? i am sure he will be ok but its only natural to worry. i can't believe Tate starts school in only a years time, then luka will go in Sept.11 as they don't do two intakes he will be 4yr and 1m thats v.young.

just made some fairy cakes and luka is sat on his trike watching them cook in oven!!

i love the beige dungarees they would look fab with his kickers!! im going to have to get those too. i just love them for winter so cosy. Got 5 pack of l/s bodysuits from Next Maxy in 2/3 and they look nice with boden dungies. Agree poppers on dungarees....why????

nicolamumof3 · 31/08/2009 11:28

BexieID · 31/08/2009 11:40

nicolamumof3 · 31/08/2009 11:46

maxybrown · 31/08/2009 11:53

Got them on him now Nic, lovely!! Nice and roomy too, need a turn up but looks cute because of lining.

nicolamumof3 · 31/08/2009 11:56

maxybrown · 31/08/2009 12:19

FlyMeToDunoon · 31/08/2009 12:39

Bexie should be fine for me to collect and pack for you. Have you put a bid on?

So the grass is no greener in the working camp really. I do know that but get very stir crazy at home with little ones all the time.

Still in three weeks I will have two mornings a week to myself. Woohoo!

Must get some wine in I need something to cheer me up.

nicolamumof3 · 31/08/2009 12:46

that sounds like bliss, i was looking forward to that, but now that Tate has swapped to afternoons i have another year before i get a break!! its the constant feeding, watering, changing and cleaning that gets relentless right boys fed, luka had a lie in this morning so might skip his nap today and take them to the park.

maxybrown · 31/08/2009 12:50

I know I only have one, but I agree - it does get you down sometimes. It si the mental side of always thinking for someone else I think!! I don't really know anybody back up here again yet either so sometimes you end up feeling like you are the only ones in the world!!!

nicolamumof3 · 31/08/2009 12:57

do you got to any groups or classes maxy? i really miss classes during the hols. i try to do things most day so im getting out. nearly ready to go out but luka's now decided to finish his lunch, so waiting on him, then off to park to see if bouncy castle there.

maxybrown · 31/08/2009 13:10

we started at a toddler group before hols, so just waiting for that to reopen. It is nice but very small and they are nearly all babies but we'll see how it goes.
There isn't much very local to me without jumping on a bus, so then you have to add £4 plus onto everything you do!! Not moaning honestly!!

pebbles79 · 31/08/2009 13:30

I suppose I have quite a good balance between working and being at home. I only do 16 hours which works out as 2 5 hour shifts and a 6 hour shift a week and they all work round DH's work so no need for childcare. I've only not worked for a year as I was made redundant when pregnant with DS1 and went back to work 2 days after his 1st birthday.

maxybrown · 31/08/2009 13:55

is anyone near this at all?

here

FlyMeToDunoon · 31/08/2009 14:02

Just had to examine dribbling cat. Can't see anything obvious.
I will take DD3 to toddler group when it starts back in sept. It seemed hard to get to when I had two at home but hopefully I will be organised enough to drop DD2 at school and walk down the church.
I don't have much spare cash for activities either.

BexieID · 31/08/2009 14:56

nicola, i'll pay for mobile on friday when I get paid if thats ok?

FMTD, not put a bid on but have a feeling it'll go for more than I want to pay.

nicolamumof3 · 31/08/2009 15:36

yes thats fine bexie,

just got back from park, its scorching. typical first day for boys in 'warm' clothes and i had to strip them down in park it really is hot out!!

i think im really lucky here for kids activities at the church where tate does pre school is toddler group which is really good (not that i talk to many other mums!) its £1.50 for them both and you get tea and biccies. we have the pool on our doorstep huge park with playareas, standpit, and bouncy castle in hols we have castle and river to walk along. its nice here for families.

mumofdjandbabies · 31/08/2009 16:01

becky have popped some bits on for sale clothes ? lots more if want

OP posts:
maxybrown · 31/08/2009 16:49

mmmm sounds nice Nicola.......not that lucky here!! lol at stripping the boys down.....I had to strip DS off too out of his dungies....it's so muggy! Back in shorts and sandals

I want a quest in red and black keep missing out on them!

carrielou2007 · 31/08/2009 16:50

I like working for having adult conversation, feel like I'm using my brain etc but now dd is bigger she is so entertaining I miss her more than when she was tiny if that makes sense.

I find it hard the whole making sure I have everything I need as when she is in bed that's it, I', tied to the house. The house stays tidy too! On our days off I can have cleaned, hoovered and tidied up umpteen times yet it never looks like it!

I take my hat off to anyone who works with more than one, I don't want to though I have no choice but if I had a choice I would stay at home!!

maxybrown · 31/08/2009 17:05

Has anyone any experience of a chicco multiway, the one with the chunky wheels?

carrielou2007 · 31/08/2009 17:24

Not a chicco fan or is that cossatt-something?? One has a good reputation the other not so but not sure which way around it is

Has anyone had a skip hop duo deluxe? Bought new one on ebay but not sure how big they are?? Mega cheap compared to Mothercare though so thought could try it??

nicolamumof3 · 31/08/2009 17:32

im not chicco fan but suspect they may have better rep than cosatto? i had a chicco highchair tho.
