Oh great 1leg. I'm glad I didn't bid against you then!

5inthebed · 29/08/2009 20:29

He had a great time

I was crying at a bloke on the X Factor, I'm so soppy.

1legmummy · 29/08/2009 20:30

So am I!!!, although I only put in upto £30.00 and could not move on that so it was close.

Only saw you lot talking on here after I had won it, I put my bid on last night not expecting to win it.

I cant buy both, although I will know as soon as I get it if it is suitable so might still be able to get the xt I was offered.

Just really had my heart set on a Micralite.

Will try Mutsy on here first. I want it to be loved. How about £100.00???

x

nicolamumof3 · 29/08/2009 20:33

glad he enjoyed himself 5in.

i can't wait to try micralite.

im sick of searching for buggysnuggle/footmuffs for xt been looking for weeks now!! im just going to have to spend £55 on the waterproof one aren't i? i got black xt one on order should be here by end of next week.

5inthebed · 29/08/2009 20:35

£100 delivered would be a good price on here if it is in a good condition 1LM

Does Luka really NEED a buggysnuggle Nicola, or is it more for you? Wouldn't the XT one just do him?

nicolamumof3 · 29/08/2009 20:37

i need a waterproof one 5in as he won't have raincover on. plus i don't know yet whether the xt one will fit him. i do love buggysnuggles

nicolamumof3 · 29/08/2009 20:37

oh plus you always need a spare eh?

5inthebed · 29/08/2009 20:51

I think the XT ones, or any Mac ones for that matter are quite small. I can't see DS3 fitting into his for very long.

1legmummy · 29/08/2009 20:56

Yep will do it for that. Have also put it on Ebay ebay mutsy

nicolamumof3 · 29/08/2009 20:57

really? i have always found them ok. Tate was in one at 2yr im sure. i will try him out when it arrives i do have a normal mac one in charcoal i bought for the quest (that never gets used!) maybe i should try him in that. I might get a footmuff made i think.

FlyMeToDunoon · 29/08/2009 21:31

I find the trouble with footmuffs on macs and similar is that they drag on the wheels. I think I am going to try without this winter. DD3 can have a blanket.
If that doesn't work I will think again.

nicolamumof3 · 29/08/2009 21:34

i hate blankets with a passion! but i agree longer footmuffs on strollers are pita with the wheels, i have got couple of snowsuits so tbh he won't really need a footmuff i just like them nice and cosy, it was really cold last winter wasn't it.

i think im going to bed now ladies night night xx

5inthebed · 29/08/2009 21:38

I can always measure the one on the spitfire Nicola. It looks about the same size. Night night.

I can remember mac footmuffs being a lot longer, or at least they were when DS1 was in a pram.

I hate seeing kids wrapped up in those huge single bed fleeces when they are in a pram/buggy. They look so hot and uncomfortable.

FlyMeToDunoon · 29/08/2009 21:48

I hate blankets too but I don't see a good alternative. DD has several small fleece blankets so she isn't smothered up.
You know what would we need is something like those big sheepskin slipper/footmuff things www.celtic-sheepskin.co.uk/footwear/sheepskin-slippers/sheepskin-footmuff/ except up to the shoulders!

Or a lined cardboard box.
It needs to be boxy to stay off the wheels.

mamadiva · 29/08/2009 21:54

Hiya ladies not been around for a while but just noticed topic of conversation

When I had my XT I used a stay put blanket and liner for DS and he was a big 2.6YO then. The stay put blanket is really good, it has a piouch for their little legs and then fastens onto the buggy frame and you can use it with any liner you like. I reckon a stay put blanket and sheepskin liner would be lovely and cosy

nicolamumof3 · 29/08/2009 21:58

stayed up later as dh just home with a caramel kit kat so having that with a cuppa. im soooooo cold!

i was just going to recommend a stayput. but i didn't find mine a good fit on xt?

dunoon, im seriously in love with the celtic sheepskin co. have you bought from them before?

FlyMeToDunoon · 29/08/2009 21:59

Hmm off to have a look see at stay put blankets. Thanks

FlyMeToDunoon · 29/08/2009 22:01

No no I just googled sheepskin slippers footmuff and up it came. However the site does looks familiar for some reason.

nicolamumof3 · 29/08/2009 22:11

i have a huge wishlist for their! love their boots...oh and it happens to be my bday in a couple weeks

pebbles79 · 29/08/2009 22:12

Nicola, if you got a footmuff made you could have a waterproof layer added in.

FlyMeToDunoon · 29/08/2009 22:17

Is Stay-Put a company? The website by that name is down. Only one on ebay that I can find. Have asked Snunkie for a quote on one. Expect it will be costly.

BexieID · 29/08/2009 22:21

No idea why I didn't have scan yesterday. All I can think of is that the consuultant decided to wait as my appointment was originally scheduled for this friday. PITA though for DP.

FlyMeToDunoon · 29/08/2009 22:22

Ah just looked at the rest of that sheepskin site and it looks familiar because I got their catalogue through the door the other day. I like the slipper bootees.

FlyMeToDunoon · 29/08/2009 22:23

Bexie do you still have a spare micralite?

BexieID · 29/08/2009 22:24

Micralites are good for nice summery days imo. I quite like the XT and would rather take that on hols.
