Please can you rank these prams in terms of which you think looks most expensive to cheapest - and also tell me your favourite!

I like number the style of number 3, but would only buy in black as prams get mucky. I hate number 2, probably the colour, it looks quite cheap (not that it’s an issue, but you did ask!!) I don’t like the plastic looking bit on the top of number 1, but otherwise ok. Number 4 is ok, looks cheap and cheerful.

Needmorelego · 25/04/2023 15:15

Why does it matter which one "looks the cheapest"?
Why do you want to know @SoPrettyVacant ?

LadyKenya · 25/04/2023 15:18

No, but I like no4.

SoPrettyVacant · 25/04/2023 15:23

@Needmorelego I was just pondering. I don’t want to spend a large amount of money on a cheap looking pram.
They all meet my criteria so now just narrowing down to looks.

No 3 looks most expensive. Rubbish colour though. No 4 looks the most practical in terms of size of storage beneath, and I like the colour.
I'm guessing 3,2,1,4 as most expensive to cheapest but it's hard to tell just from pictures.
Why is the price significant? Are we talking hundreds of £££ difference?

SoPrettyVacant · 25/04/2023 15:24

@freyamay74 The most expensive is more towards 2k, least expensive is £500

My preference order would be ( from most liked to least) 4, 1, 2, 3.

Cost perception order would probably be similar, maybe swapping around 1 and 2.

Needmorelego · 25/04/2023 15:36

@SoPrettyVacant well all prams of that style look expensive to me (and as you say the cheapest is £500 - that's really expensive in my world). If I saw you pushing any of those prams I wouldn't know if it was 'cheap' or expensive 🤷🏻‍♂️

Sirzy · 25/04/2023 15:41

None of them look notably that different to each other and nobody is going to be paying that much attention!

get the one that is most practical for what you need within your budget.

LIZS · 25/04/2023 15:44

2nd looks most ££.

spidereggs · 25/04/2023 15:56

Is that just for a pram? Or a travel system. I think I used the pram for a matter of months, next bit for years.

So if just a pram none of them.

Looks wise don't really see much difference.

SoPrettyVacant · 25/04/2023 16:05

@spidereggs Its a full travel system

OP posts:
FriedEggChocolate · 25/04/2023 16:08

Having had 2 of these (big age gap between kids so we'd got rid after the 1st) I'd focus on weight, basket size, easiness to clean if baby is sick, and a darker colour in case of splashes from the wheels. I'd say that 2 and 3 are the most expensive, as they haven't got a black plastic surround for the hood. The colours are hopeless though.

If they are fully travel systems, see which ones have removable seat covers. Avoid any where you can't remove the seat cover to wash out explosive nappies, yoghurt, wotsits as the child ages. Also check which will fit in your boot.

CindersAgain · 25/04/2023 16:09

Look at the next stage too. None of mine would lay flat so we didn’t use the carry cot at all.

ThickSkinnedSoWhat · 25/04/2023 16:12

Just buy a pram you like. Do you seriously care if other people will think it cost less? That's the last thing I'd worry about ffs

FlounderingFruitcake · 25/04/2023 16:13

3rd one is the Cybex priam isn’t it so I’m guessing that’s the most expensive. Cybex car seats are great though if one comes included.

SoPrettyVacant · 25/04/2023 16:18

@ThickSkinnedSoWhat
I like them all, they all meet my criteria and have washable fabrics, I just thought I’d ask a lighthearted question… wow. It’s my first baby and I’m getting the opinions of experienced mothers…

@FlounderingFruitcake Yes I’ve heard good things, considering the Cybex cloud z2 as it attached to all of these!

Maybe she wants an expensive looking pram?

Coffeeandbourbons · 25/04/2023 16:21

Love the cream one!

jannier · 25/04/2023 16:41

Wouldn't get a light colour it will look disgusting very quickly. Most important is how easy it is to use, putting up and down, weight etc. I know so many who end up not using them past a few months and buying lightweight ....have you been to see them?

Needmorelego · 25/04/2023 16:44

@Coffeeandbourbons that's kind of my point - what makes a pram look expensive? (Except for a traditional vintage style Silver Cross 😂)
I wouldn't have a clue if I saw the OP if her pram was expensive or not.
@SoPrettyVacant

Needmorelego · 25/04/2023 16:44

@SoPrettyVacant sorry didn't mean to tag you there.

SoPrettyVacant · 25/04/2023 16:47

@jannier Thats my worry re looking grubby but I do love the colour which is a massive dilemma - the pram is probably best value but I hate the other colours (brown/dark grey/black). It is machine washable inside though…
I’m going to see them at the weekend but I needed to do some research so I wasn’t overwhelmed when I went for the first time and had specific ones in mind.

1 & 4 .

slytherinabout · 25/04/2023 17:05

4 looks like it has the biggest basket so that would be top for me
