Help - does this buggy exist?!

I don't know if this is the right place to post this!

I'm hunting for a buggy which parent faces and has a lie flat recline (rather than a tilting bucket seat) and also good wheels for tougher terrain.

Essentially like the baby jogger versa GT but with a seat which reclines to lie flat.

I had the armidillo flip XT but the suspension was very poor & the steering even worse so eventually it had to be returned.

My baby is surviving in a little Mcclaren pushchair until I find her a new something but she looks very uncomfortable & doesn't drop off to sleep.

Any help very much appreciated!

My baby jogger GT lies flat or you can have s carrycot attachment.

Alternatively, you could get a bugaboo donkey (if you think you might need a double at some stage) and use it in mono mode or buffalo. I have the donkey and it is excellent.

I've just bought a easywalker mosey and that seems to meet your criteria. Baby isn't here yet so not sure how it manages on rough terrains but it had great reviews.

Maybe the graco evo xt? Never used one myself but is a rear facing lie flat pram.

Thanks Gobbolino - but the bugaboos don't lie flat, they just tilt back so bay is reclined flat but baby is still flexed at the hips. The forward facing baby joggers lie flat but not the rear facing ones!

You can see through the hood of the baby jogger city mini as it has Windows. Highly recommend it.

Bugaboo cameleon or buffalo. Buffalo has rough terrain wheels but I have found the cameleon to be sturdy aswell.

I have an easywalker mosey and I love it but I'd say it's a city pushchair really. Certainly you can push it over grass and gravel but it's not easy. The front wheels tend to wedge into any dips or holes. Fine for on a pavement because you can avoid them but it would be harder in the country.

I use it for city walking and trips and put dd in a baby carrier for parks/countryside.

The graco looks great too thanks huffle, though not so great reviews on use ability in terms of fiddly straps & bulky fold. Def has the main features I'm after though!

Also it tends to be a bit creaky and squeaky going over bumps. Not sure of that's just mine though! Its only 5 months old though so I don't think it's anything I've done to it.

The Baby Jogger City Mini GT is very good off road. I bought it to be a second buggy for dog walking as my 'main' one was an iCandy Strawberry which was beautiful but very much a city pushchair. The GT quickly became the main pushchair and the iCandy was sold as everyone, baby included, preferred it. I wanted to keep baby parent facing as long as possible but she had other ideas. As soon as she could sit up, she wanted to be forward facing.

GT retains value well and I sold it for a decent amount once it was no longer needed. And it had been well used over rough terrain but was still in excellent condition despite not being particularly well cared for by us. They're just well made and robust.

The one I had was the mother care Xpedia. Was a carrycot that turned into the seat when DD was old enough. Came with a mattress which slotted into the carrycot , and honestly I just loved it!
Perfect for walking through the countryside.
Reasonably priced brand new, or you can pick them up second hand very cheaply.

Thanks for the feedback poodles, sounds like the easy walker maybe wouldn't solve the problem I want it to!

Thanks Harlett, I've long been considering a forward facing baby jogger but I really want her to still face me some of the time & I think she does too!

Oyster max ! I have one used from birth with dd now 11 months it's great on grass etc as has bigger wheels as can be turned into a double , you can buy a carrycot for it but I didn't bother as the seat was fine Smile

I have had an Easywalker mosey for a year and have been really happy with it. It isn't a true all terrain off roader but does pretty well on all surfaces with the front wheels in locked position. I like that it goes completely flat and I still have it parent facing most of the time. I'm surprised you don't see more about as to me it's a lighter, more compact, better value, better positioned version of the bugaboo (had a cameleon for my first two children).

I'm also looking to sell on my mosey carrycot in Berlin grey if anyone is interested, pm me.

Maybe if that Mosey had been around when I was looking I would not have needed 4 prams :) (off-roader, a travel system, a stroller and now looking for something tiny for holidays as my car is too small for 2 kids plus stuff.) I also have a double buggy - how did I collect so many! Mostly I got off ebay and car sell on and to be fair they all have had good use.

I tried unsuccessfully to see it in the flesh, at the time it was in some mamas and papas stores but not one near me. In the end I just took the plunge. If you're in/near London or Kingston then Peppermint stocked them when I was looking.

I just searched online for the best price, can't remember now where I got it from but there was an offer with a free footmuff.

The only drawback for me was that it wasn't going to be as good as off roading as say a nipper 360 but the rear facing thing was important to me. I live semi rurally and have been fine so far but always thought i could get a cheap second hand 3 wheeler if I needed to.

I bought mine online on the basis if the reviews. It really is great and I can see it lasting us a long time. With dd1 we went through many pushchairs but the mosey does everything we need. Small, comfy, big seat (my 6 year old can fit in it!), very easy to push one handed so I can also hold dd1's hand when crossing roads. Basket is a bit small but we got a special bag they make that fits onto the frame which is great.

I'm not sure if it fits a buggy board which may be a drawback for the future. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it though.
