I think I've just bought another pushchair, oops!

However, it is a baby jogger Summit

Now how do I smuggle it past OH, given that he's going to be there when I pick it up...

Tiggywunkle · 05/05/2012 22:17

Hurray! At last. Well done!

Daisybell1 · 05/05/2012 22:29

Am hoping it all works out, seller says she's prepared to keep it for a few weeks until I'm in the area...

Daisybell1 · 06/05/2012 06:37

OH said yes so long as I sell two others!!!!

OP posts:
milk · 06/05/2012 06:46

How many do you have?!? and which ones? :)

Daisybell1 · 06/05/2012 07:58

This is number 6 - dd is 7 months old Blush

The full list is:
Chicco pramette
Kooldi buggy
Urban detour
Herqules Raptor 3 Spin
BJCM 3

And soon to be acquired BJ Summit XC

The first two are at my parents, and the Urban Detour and Herqules have got to go as part of OH's agreement to the Summit, so it's not that bad really

I wish I had known before having DS that Baby Joggers are best :( They are so lovely to push Grin

I have just bought the Baby Jogger City Select and I love it Grin Although DH doesn't know about it Shock but we are moving within the month and it is hiding in my cupboard so he'll know soon enough :P

I have so far:
Mothercare Spin
Quinny Zapp (we only have a tiny car so this is great with the car seat)
Chicco Liteway (great for holidays)
and now the BJCS :)

Daisybell1 · 06/05/2012 09:12

You smuggled in a select??? Major respect!!! I was wondering how to get the summit past OH but in the end fessed up and he's agreed.

I was worried I'd have to charm him with favours which may lead to needing a double in 9 months...

Have just drawn up the Herqules listing for eBay, will be sorry to see it go but needs must. Plus I 'think' I've got the summit for a sensible price so shouldn't lose much if I ever needed to sell it.

I told DH to stay in the lounge as I have an anniversary surprise for him while I folded it up and hid it in my wardrobe, plus in a month we are moving and it is our anniversary so technically I was telling the truth :P I was going to tell him the truth but there are so many family things I want him to do atm, and I know he won't do them if he knows I have gone behind his back and bought a pram.

Ooh... but think of all the doubles you could get Wink

MilkNoSugarAndAShotofWhisky · 06/05/2012 13:10

I still can't believe you managed it milk! I'm impressed :o

milk · 06/05/2012 13:17

Thanks MilkNoSugarAndAShotofWhisky :) but we are moving in a months time so Charles will see it eventually :P

milk · 06/05/2012 13:17

or will he? Hmm now that will be the challenge Wink

Daisybell1 · 06/05/2012 13:23

That is still impressive. Right, your next challenge if you choose to accept it is to move house without him noticing.

Although, and Tiggy might be your best authority on this, I suspect he'll be ok if you can demonstrate you can sell it for as much as you paid. Then it's an investment!

MilkNoSugarAndAShotofWhisky · 06/05/2012 13:45

Just tell him you've had it since H was born...actually he may bot even notice...he's an old man remember Wink

Tiggywunkle · 06/05/2012 14:44

Wow! I am majorly impressed by you managing to smuggle the BJCS into the house! I bet your DH is wondering what he's getting for your anniversary now!!!!Confused
As for Daisy and your favours Blush
What are you both like???? Grin
Wink

milk · 06/05/2012 19:10

If I can put it in a large cardboard box, tape it, then write on the box "shoes"- he knows I have loads of shoes so he'll just think the contents of the box really is shoes :P

MilkNoSugarAndAShotofWhisky · 06/05/2012 19:15

YES! Utter genius :o

Or put "H candy stash" on the box

Either way, he'll never suspect :o

LittlePicnic · 06/05/2012 19:21

I am so impressed you could have it in the house and him not notice. But six pushchairs for a seven month old? Why? I really wanted a BJCS as a double, but was too expensive.

milk · 06/05/2012 20:16

LittlePicnic- which double did you go for in the end?

Tiggywunkle · 06/05/2012 20:38

Ooohh Little Picnic, Daisy is just starting out compared to some of the Pramaholics on here who have had many times that amount :)

Tiggywunkle · 06/05/2012 20:39

The Shoes label is genius though - but don't you have at least 3 boxes? I woud be replacing them with a nice big 'wardrobe' box whilst flat packing the original boxes for resale lolol.

milk · 06/05/2012 20:48

Tiggywunkle- I am curious to hear who is the biggest pramoholic on Mumsnet :P

Not true, a tall fridge box would easily fit the BJCS in :)

Tiggywunkle · 06/05/2012 20:52

Lol the biggest one I know of on here is Misdee with several hundred. I would think there is at least one other who has had a lot too, plus there's several with around the 100 mark. I am getting there...I think! (Starts counting fingers and toes!)

milk · 06/05/2012 20:57

So I now have 4 prams, and I am not buying any more Wink

I think the trick to not buying any more is to get a friend to have a baby, then take part in their pram buying experience Grin

Daisybell1 · 07/05/2012 06:59

Little Picnic, I'm afraid that Tiggy is right, I am merely a novice. The prams have come about through my inability to turn down a bargain combined with friends who think we have loads of space and so clear out their garages into our barns. Until we bought the bjcm, the 4 existing ones had cost us £50...

I have ridiculously high hopes for the summit, just hope it lives up to it!

Milk, you're not that far behind me, but I have said that SO many times!

Considering their only negative about the pushchair is that it doesn't include a rain cover, I think it is excellent Grin
