Baby jogger city mini.

FriggFRIGG · 14/01/2012 18:07

You can push one handed easily, and yes it lies flat or sleeping,it also has an amazing fold.

monkeyroo · 14/01/2012 18:12

I have a Micralite Toro and I love it, it's lightweight, you can steer it with one hand and it goes completely flat, compared to other prams that just recline a bit. You can get a forward facing basinette thing for newborns. Can't recommend it highly enough, I've never understood why more people don't have them!

OhFraktiousTree · 14/01/2012 18:21

BJCM - flat, 1 hand push, 1 hand fold, huge shady hood

saoirse86 · 14/01/2012 18:21

The city mini and b agile both lie flat and are suitable from birth. Smile

Methe · 14/01/2012 18:24

Yy to pushing the maclaren with one hand :)

aswellasyou · 14/01/2012 19:22

A more budget option would be a Britax B-Mobile which is nice to push and lies flat, but the B-Agile and BJCM are better. All of these can also take a carseat or carrycot.

bishboschone · 14/01/2012 19:27

I have the britax b lite which is fab and lies flat but difficult to push .

BJCM - lies really flat and pushes really easily one-handed, even fully loaded. Hats off to you Methe if you can push the XT one-handed - I never could, well at least not in a straight line and remaining on the pavement!!

stripygiraffe · 14/01/2012 22:48

Petite Star Zia. So light and easy to push. I push it one handed while pulling DD across roads on her bike Grin
Nice big comfortable seat. Shopping basket not great but you can hang over the handles.

stripygiraffe · 14/01/2012 22:49

Oh and forgot to say it goes flat for sleeping.

BikeRunSki · 14/01/2012 22:52

Baby Jogger City Mini is amazing.

I use mine for a newborn and a lazy 3 yo.

, Hi, your old nappies are having a new lease of life round my new DD's bum. Doing a great job too, and I am covetting most Tots Bots wraps.

saoirse86 · 15/01/2012 08:40

I think you ideally want a single handle, rather than something like a maclaren or zia, if you want to be able to push one handed. I have a zapp which I used to be able to push one handed, but now that DD is older and heavier it's a lot more difficult.

I think 4 wheels is best too, especially with one hand as it'll be more stable. I think the BJCM4 or B-Agile will be the best for you.

bishboschone · 15/01/2012 10:57

Thank you all , I will look into them . I have never heard of the toro .. It looks lovely but expensive . I may sell my my4 and stroller and buy one . Smile

aswellasyou · 15/01/2012 12:02

You can buy a Toro on eBay for about £80. If you like it (and it should be really lovely to push), then I'd do that rather than spend a fortune on a new one even though the newest version has a bigger seat.

monkeyroo · 15/01/2012 15:59

Yes Toros are pricey. But we got pretty much everything else 2nd hand and because I don't drive and knew I would use the pram pretty much every day, I wanted to make sure I got a good one rather than a heavy difficult to steer or push one. We used our £190 healthy mum grant or whatever it was called to go towards the pram so that helped enormously. I imagine that's been cut though now... Just wanted to explain myself as I'm an enthusiastic penny pincher in all other aspects of life Grin

aswellasyou · 15/01/2012 16:24

Grin You don't have to defend yourself! You can probably tell I'm a cheapskate economical too. Wink

bishboschone · 15/01/2012 17:29

No you don't have to defend yourself .

I have been looking and I'm torn on the britax b agile and the bjcm.
