Buggy help! (And offer in Boots)
outofmylittletree · 07/01/2012 18:07
Hi All,
Saw a deal in Boots today, they had a Maclaren Quest for sale for £70 reduced from £105 I think, tried my LO in it, 2 years old, and I think that she will outgrow it soon as her legs were already on the foot rest and she looked massive in it!
Any recommendations? Looking for something to use daily, but she is wanting to walk more now, used on pavements, walks, but nothing too adventurous! Some space for a few bits carried, not used on public transport, but to take on hols etc. Like a BJCM but think it is too expensive. Sad times. :(
Thank you.

I have just bought dd2 this from John Lewis.
not sure how the two compare size wise but dd had loads of room. she is only just one year old though.

What made you go for that one? Did you have a look at a few types? Does look nice, price is very cheap!
Reminds me of a cossato I think, or something like that!
mumatron · 07/01/2012 19:06
Well, I've never liked maclaren tbh, I think they are very overpriced for what you get. This one is relatively light but sturdy.
I don't need to fold it much and just need it for nipping into town and around the shops.

Which the maclaren, BJCM or John Lewis model? Or all of the above?! :)
MilkNoSugarPlease · 07/01/2012 23:10
I hate the Quest....it's crap!
LOVE the Chicco liteway
pramsgalore · 07/01/2012 23:11
john lewis one, i have been looking at them
and wondered what it was like to push
mumatron · 08/01/2012 08:34
prams the JL one is lighter than it looks, I've only pushed it store as mine isn't being delivered until next week, but it's easy to fold and more sturdy feeling than other's I have seen at twice the price.
pramsgalore · 08/01/2012 19:22
thanks, could you let me know, when you have had chance to use it, many thanks
saoirse86 · 08/01/2012 20:33
prams what was that about no more pushchairs?! I'm thinking about getting one too. They're just so cheap, it seems a shame not to!
pramsgalore · 08/01/2012 20:43
lol, am only looking, but yes they are a bargain and it would be a shame not to try one, could even be classed as rude at that price
saoirse86 · 08/01/2012 21:29
I think the cream too. DD is pretty clean usually, and I'd probably have a footmuff or liner to keep it clean. The main issue would probably be it going in my mum's dirty boot!
Mspontipine · 08/01/2012 21:36
Wow - love it - esp the black one. I want one and have no baby but have a 9 year old .....
Excellent price.
Maybe I should get one then a baby to pop in it :)
pramsgalore · 08/01/2012 21:39
lol mspontipine
thinking maybe the black may be better as wheels may hit hood when folded and the bumper bar would get grubby, but the cream is soooooo nice, but then the black is nice too
saoirse86 · 08/01/2012 22:36
Er, wait a minute, that's what I was going to suggest to you!
mumatron · 09/01/2012 07:58
prams I will let you know asap. I'm hoping it will be here today, even though it's supposed to be put away for our holiday later this year.
Colliecollie · 09/01/2012 20:29
Op was it the BJC mini or micro you were after? The micro is reduced at kiddicare to £79.99
Mumatron please let us know if the front wheels of the JL one are as annoying as that one bad review says!
mumatron · 09/01/2012 20:33
It's not here yet. Didn't see the bad review, is it really bad?
