The seed pli has arrived! The seat unit is so long, dd looks tiny in it. I decided to measure it and the seat back is 55cm!! There's so much room for growth, but she'll probably never be that tall to need all this space!
it's just a shame it's only suitable to 15kg because it could be great for bigger and/or older children who need a pushchair still.
The chassis seems quite big, but it's probably because I'm used to my oyster, and the seed's chassis is very square so I think it makes it seem wider iyswim. I've measured across the back wheels and it's about 59cm so not actually that big at all. That's obviously why I hate Buzz's so much because I don't like wide pushchairs!
The seat is also low enough to the ground that dd can climb in and out herself even at 15 months. She's been enjoying herself getting in and out, getting her teddies in next to her...
It also comes with a mattress and it'll be lovely one day if we have another child to use it as a carrycot. It really doesn't seem like it would be too difficult to change from carrycot to seat if you have a newborn and toddler and want just one pushchair. If we have another child in about a year to year and a half, I could see myself using that with a sling, or with a ride on board. I know the lascal maxi fits it, but not sure what else does. It's then mean I'd have to put the carrycot mattress in the basket but that's not the end of the world.
The fold is a little bit faffy. You have to remove the seat to fold. Then you're supposed to put the seat back on the chassis further down but the clips are broken so it won't stay on. That's a bit of a shame as it's one thing I really liked about it. It's also a bit of a faff folding the wheels in. I might not need to do it often in my car though. And that's what makes the seed pli really isn't it. Some people would find it an absolute godsend to be able to fold their pushchair so flat!
I haven't been able to try it out yet but we'll go out later when dd's finished her nap and see how it goes. I might even try going through mud as the tyres say "seed was here" on them and imprint it into the ground as you go!
