Uppababy vista and getting in the car boot? (Ford Focus) - advice please

Hi

after reading all the reviews on here I would really like to buy the Uppababy Vista but I don't live very close to any stockist and was hoping to get a 2nd hand one if possible. However, I have a year old Ford Focus (not c-max) and the dimensions of the pram (with wheels on) and boot - almost match...humm.... have got my fingers crossed that someone on mumsnet has a uppababy and has managed to fit it into a ford focus boot or can let me know the level of hassle involved in taking the wheels off every time.

Off to stare at boot dimensions again and hope they have grown.....

I went for the Blue as it is such a gorgeous colour! I ended up phoning Groovystyle and visiting their showroom as it isnt too far from where i am. I do have to say that their customer service was excellent and were able to answer all of the questions that i had. When i got to their showroom it was like walking into an aladdins cave! So many lovely things, everything that i needed for my new arrival i bought under one roof!!!!!!!!! I am very happy with my Uppababy and can't wait to start using it. I will highly recommend Groovystyle to all of my friends :)

Hope all goes really well xx

i haven't had time to read all the messages on here but we have a vista and a fiat 500 (the new one but still a very small car). The vista goes in the boot - but you have to take the back wheels off - this is very easy to do though and we take the seat off the frame then fold and it all fits. Sounds like a hassle but isn't really as quite easy to do. Having said that I don't use the car much - so maybe it would be annoying doing it all the time. Buggy is great!

Hi, I just wanted to say that we have been looking at different prams as I have a mini convertible and thought I would never find anything that would fit in the boot - but the uppababy frame does (without the wheels) If it fits in the tiny boot of the mini, I am sure it will fit in anything! Does anyone have any current discount codes that work for Uppababy products?

aswellasyou · 15/12/2011 14:07

If you buy from Groovystyle, use the code PL512 for 5% off, making it £521.55. There are often codes for Winstanley's Pramworld, Kiddicare and Kiddisave. 'Like' theire Facebook pages if you want to wait for them to release a bigger discount code. Alternatively, phone around a few places and you may be able to persuade them to sell you one a bit cheaper.

@ houseoffallenwomen, @ Lydian22, Thanks for your reassurances on size - really appreciated. Really excited about buying. Just waiting for a decent discount to come along - thanks for the other retailers @aswellasyou - I have already signed up to Kiddicare and Groveystyle but hadn't done the others - will sign up and hope that one of them puts on a good sale (missed the 13% discount one a few weeks ago!)

Update - just incase this is useful to anyone else - I have brought a lovely red uppa baby vista and it fits!!! I don't even have to take the wheels off :) love the pram and was able to get a decent discount thanks to the advice of another mumsnetter - I brought mine off USA Amazon and even with shipping only paid £400. I was able to register it with Uppa Baby so covered for 2 years and only needed to buy the car seat converters.
