Wow SuZie, that does sound like fate! I was looking at the xari online. I've briefly seen it in JL too. I do think its fab value for money. I'd quite like to test drive one.

pramsgalore · 10/10/2011 18:58

tiggy, i thought you were getting a urbo, great news suzie re the orbit, so is it a xari or black cameleon next!!!
i do like the new micralite with the black frame, very smart. their are so many nice pushchairs out at the moment or coming out.

suzie38 · 10/10/2011 19:38

Think it'd have to be a Xari as i think the Cameleon front wheels look silly...Looks best with the snow wheels on but it's not so easy to fold as i'd catch my fingers twisting the wheels around.

pramsgalore · 10/10/2011 19:58

i use mine everyday and only sometimes have out the orbit or cameleon, it is my fav all time pushchair, it is the one Grin

Tiggywunkle · 10/10/2011 20:14

Oh it's an Urbo! Lol
Yay re deciding on the Xari :)

MonkeysPunk · 10/10/2011 21:02

I can remember only a few years ago - the pram market was soooo boring - v little choice - we are absolutely spoilt for choice now - and prams are even getting lights - and other high-tech features and materials incorperated in them. It's really exciting pram-wise at the moment.
I am quite excited about the micralite as it's so light and easy - will sell my maclaren dylan volo when the time is right - but will prob keep the bjcm too for now.....will be selling all in a couple of years anyway - so might aswell enjoy things while I can.
OMW - Doc Martin's on - she's got a new buggy - what is it? Graco Mirage? My goodness - will the poor lady never get a Xari? Grin

pramsgalore · 10/10/2011 21:06

lol yes looks like a graco, i did not know she had broken the big one, it was outside the back door!!!

thisisyesterday · 10/10/2011 21:23

meh there are no pushchairs I want to buy.

i want something really lightweight, folds super-easy and preferably nice and small, lovely to push, and has 4 wheels.
would get a bjcm4 but it's a bit too pricey and don't really need all the features on it as ds3 is 2 and a bit now and doesn't sleep in it usually.

what should i buy?? i was quite taken with the phil and teds smart despite really not being a p&t fan, but i saw a pic of a baby in it and the seat didn't look that big

please tell me what to buy!
oh and not a micralite. i was v. tempted by them, but think that folded they are still too big

suzie38 · 10/10/2011 21:35

I'd say a Graco Citisport if you can get your hands on one.

suzie38 · 10/10/2011 21:37

The Orbit lady has booked the day off work as she's got to drive from Newcastle so looks like systems go...Pulled the listing off eBay.

thisisyesterday · 10/10/2011 21:37

will have a look for that one on ebay suzie, thanks

has anyone tried the hauck capri?

MonkeysPunk · 10/10/2011 21:44

thisisyesterday www.pramworld.co.uk have a code FB10 - on their FB page for getting to 1000 likes I think - and it runs out at midnight tonight - gets 10% off most items - it might help.

Tiggywunkle · 10/10/2011 21:44

Try a Maxi Cosi Noa. We love ours. It's definitely a second pushchair ie personally I like something sturdier, but it's nippy, folds small and has been really fab on holiday where it got pushed or pulled from dawn until dusk.
Yay re the Orbit Suzie :) Fingers crossed for a nice birthday present :)

thisisyesterday · 10/10/2011 21:51

ooh thanks for the code

also wondered about the quinny senzz but thought the seat on that looked not that generous too... hmm

will check out the noa as well

suzie38 · 10/10/2011 22:00

MonkeysPunk said the Senzz seat is generous but has a tallish uncomfortable handle...Sure she'll fill you in with better details soon.

thisisyesterday · 10/10/2011 22:04

hmm tallish handle is good! uncomfortable not so much

pramworld have a b-mobile for £119 and if I can use the 10% off on that as well that woul dbe cool. black frame too which is nice

MonkeysPunk · 10/10/2011 22:18

senzz seat is mahoosive! really wide - and harness is big - on tightest setting harness is a tad loose on my small (2y old sized) 3y old.
It takes a few practises to get the hang of the fold system - but once you have it you will think it's pretty quick - and neat. It does fold v flat.
I like the manouverability and the suspension on it - and the handle height and shape suits me (am 5'7"). The only thing that's really not so good about it - is the swivel lock for the wheels which doesn't actually work - you lock the wheels straight and in a couple of meters they've worked themselves unlocked again! Only an issue on long straight pavements with a steep camber that you're fighting against! It is a strictly urban pram as the wheels are small - but it's v stylish and easy to use and comfortable. DS liked it v much - he had a long sleep in it too!

MonkeysPunk · 10/10/2011 22:24

I found the senzz handle plenty comfortable for me - but I have chubby paws - so maybe my own padding? Wink
The one-handed recline is also nice and I think it's a fab pram for summer and sunshine as the canopy can be vented from the back by pushing upwards (I live in the south of England and it does get very hot here sometimes - if I lived up North again - this would not be such an issue). It's just those little design touches that made it different that I really liked - the side wind panels that could be removed or snapped onto canopy rim and held down with push in rubber buttons. I bought the spring colour-way which I thought was fun and fashionable (not that I'm much of an expert in fashion - but I liked it!).

thisisyesterday · 10/10/2011 22:28

nice review monkeyspunk thank you! am watching a couple on ebay now.

big harness could be an issue as one of the problems i have with the baby jogger is that he can easily get out of the harness and then climb out, so i need soemthing that will keep him firmly in place Grin

MonkeysPunk · 10/10/2011 22:30

Just looked at the B-mobile video - it looks a really nice buggy - especially for that price! Wow! It reminds me very much of the vista in it's folding - but also the wheels etc look really good don't they. It does fold small too doesn't it.

Tiggywunkle · 10/10/2011 22:30

I like a lot of design features about the Senzz but I got part way through a walk with DD and the pushability was so poor that I asked her to get out and walk! At first the handle was fine but it got uncomfy as time went on. It went straight back in the box as soon as I got back! I preferred the Halo but not the lack of a shopping basket.

MonkeysPunk · 10/10/2011 22:34

Senzz on ebay - direct from Dorel.

MonkeysPunk · 10/10/2011 22:37

Ds is 93cm tall and only around 14kg. I didn't find it a hard push at all - infact I found it a little bit easier to steer than the BJCM. It was about what I expected for a small but stylish (and obviously urban) buggy - but it must vary on what pavements you're using etc. Definately easier in shopping centers than out on real pavements though.

thisisyesterday · 10/10/2011 22:44

i was so close to clicking buy on the b-mobile, then i checked the handle height and it's only 100cm so sadly I think it's a no-go. dp and I are both tallish and I think 100cm is just a bit short.

MonkeysPunk · 10/10/2011 22:47

Have you got a BJCM? The Stone and Orange/grey ones are £169 - but then you'd get another 10% off. (I think the stone one is gorgeous!).
