Happy Christmas Eve everyone!!!!!

I am so excited, couldn't sleep properly last night.

Been a busy bunny this morning. Was up and dressed at 8, went to get some lovely buns from Greggs for breakfast tomorrow, bought a few gifts for rellies and have had my gammon cooking since half 9. Have just finished ironing (or folding and putting away to me and you) and I can now see my bedroom floor.

Going out for an early tea with my family at 3.

If I don't "see" any of you today, have a lovely day tomorrow x

maxybrown · 24/12/2010 11:36

Just back from giving my wee sis a present and cried like a baby. Had to scrape all the ice and snow off and as soon as her saw her name and age i just couldn't stop.
HOWEVER

I feel very very christmassy this year and more so than last. So looking forward to seeing my gorgeous babies faces. Ahhhhh so excited. xx

Thats good basl. A very bittersweet time isn't it for so many of us without the loved ones we dearly miss.

My own mother lost her father at 12yrs old just days before xmas she still misses him now i know Sad but she adores xmas and makes a huge effort i can't wait to go to there house tomorrow it is so beautifully done for xmas with an amazing tree.

Well i've just had a nasty accident. Back from the hairdressers, went upstairs to run boys a bath as they'd been walking round lake with daddy and were due to come home numb..came downstairs with arm fulls of washing and presents. Fell from the top stair all the bloody way done, hurt everything!! was here on my own and balled my eyes out.

basl · 24/12/2010 16:37

Gosh Nicola, are you ok? Going to text you now.

I've had a lovely time with my family at the pub. Kids behaved themselves and we had so much fun!

nicolamumof3 · 24/12/2010 21:02

I'm ok very sore and bruised just doing my sausage rolls!!

5ElvesMooningSanta · 24/12/2010 22:03

Glad you're ok (bar the bruising) Nicola. I was quite worried or a minute. Luckily (??) you're only early on in your pregnancy and not with a huge bump.

I've just put all the boys presents out and eaten Santa's mince pie. DH drank the milk as I can't stand milk. All very exciting now!

5ElvesMooningSanta · 24/12/2010 22:04

Terry's just finished putting the kitchen together only taken two hours Xmas Grin love a bit of xmas present construction eh?

i've wrapped up little cooking set, wooden food etc and put inside it! Thats their main present.

stockings done, tree cram packed with stuff. Have a big bag to take to my mums so they can have stuff tomorrow afternoon!! Soooo exciting isn't. Magical for our little ones.

5ElvesMooningSanta · 24/12/2010 22:26

Kitchen is lovely Nicola. I was going to get DS3 one this year, but he is more interested in cars so he has a garage.

Basl, I am feeling heaps better, although a bit worn out, so had a nap this afternoon.

maxybrown · 24/12/2010 22:33

ooh that kitchen is gorgeous! James would love that! I think we are stingy parents compared to most Xmas Blush ah well sod it!!!! Xmas Grin

Have lovely times everyone - off to start wrapping. Am sooooooooooooooooooooooo knackered. Was 2am when finally got to bed last night Hmm

got my parents coming over tomorrow, Matthew will go and pick them up after present opening!! James only been asleep about 20 minutes, he is not a happy bunny at all - think it has all been a bit too much - already!! Xmas Grin He was a right funny old soul on the train

nicolamumof3 · 24/12/2010 22:38

luka has been too maxy it is alot for them to cope with. so so much going on.

I am really pleased with kitchen. I was adamant they got something that would last this year. IT is joint main present for tate and Luka tho must admit it is luka who adores his little kitchen. He has a real cheapy plastic one from tesco, ahd a couple of years falling apart so this should hopefully last. Classic toy really.

I suppose by boys are more cooking mad what with daddy being a chef..luka is especially.

maxybrown · 24/12/2010 22:41

Yeah James loves cooking stuff. He has cheapy argos set but it is all so little. Would love a wooden set up for him.

Yes it is Nic - he was completely dead pan on the train - completely. Xmas Confused

Right can't put off the wrapping any longer can I?

basl · 24/12/2010 22:48

Well we have had a fabby wee day but Maxy i so know what you mean. We have had tear lots today and i do think there is so much excitement and also fear?? Olivia was upset that she might wake when santa arrived and he would take all her presents away. She also has walked about with a smile pasted on her face incase she was not getting anything. Cruel in a way this " if your good" vow i want say that again.

The wooden kitchen is gorgeous nicola.

Maxy i don't for one min think your stingy. In my family we have grown up on love and doing nice things for each other and spending family time. Your wee man will want for NOTHING and bet you have him some lovely things. Think it's us parents that get a bit keep up with the Jones and not fair really.
My parents had very little when we where little and i still to this day remeber the smell of the wendy house and the little play house lamps we got. My mum said oh lord that cost us the earth and thats all you got. I loved it and never once thought i was different.
Nice to spoil and we have but never far from my thoughts that more to life that material things.

Oh sorry went off on one there. xx

you are right basl. James is such a happy little fella, he is so so loved and full of rich experiences the most important gifts a child can have.

the wooden kitchen is the same as one i used to play with at nursery over 30years ago. I love toys that remind me of things like that.

I can still remember my silver cross pram, my sindy dolls house, all presents i had when my parents were together so before i was 7yr old. I have such happy memories of xmas as a child and thats all i want for my boys.

you done that wrapping yet maxy?!!
