Whats up with the UD basl?

DD2 off school today as she was coughing all night. DP finally got up with her at 5am and gave her some honey and lemon. She's perky enough atm though.

I missed an xts twister on ebay by pennies last night. Got a sledge on Saturday so maybe that will do if we get more snow.
Docs app this am with two DDs in tow.

maxybrown · 13/12/2010 09:03

I think lillypie got hers for less than a tenner Shock word must be getting out!

Dunoon · 13/12/2010 09:07

I did avoid mentioning it on here as I am convinced that doing so raises the price straight away.

maxybrown · 13/12/2010 09:07

maxybrown · 13/12/2010 09:08

Have a good morning all..

Dunoon · 13/12/2010 09:17

Don't be daft maxy Xmas Grin

I have heard that Micralite Superlites are fabulous pushchairs. Xmas Wink

DDs coughing away and watching Bolt. I need to post some christmas stuff this week and........ thats it really. Need a life Xmas Grin

nicolamumof3 · 13/12/2010 09:21

Dunoon you can have a bit of my 'life' if you fancy it lol!!

another busy week, xmas carols at church i think? Luka nativity on Weds, Tate school disco Thurs, Luka nursery party on Friday. Oh and tate has friend for tea tomorrow. Busy!! And i need to finish up some more xmas shopping for Terry, he wants a leather bag but is so so fussy. Grrr!

Dunoon · 13/12/2010 09:27

Yes there's life and 'life'

The life I'm imagining includes
Adult conversation
Using my brain
Laughing
Feeling stimulated

Maybe it's a job. But then I need to wait until DD3 starts at school. Oh you know it's the usual conundrum.
Just ignore me I'm in one of those moods and should get off my backside and do something, anything.

Dunoon · 13/12/2010 09:56

It's gone very quiet. Hope I haven't offended anyone.

nicolamumof3 · 13/12/2010 10:11

of course not, Maybe a part time job could be found dunoon? It is nice to break away and be you. You may be surprised and find something you could do a few hours a week? Does dd3 go to nursery every day? Luka is there 12.45-3.45 so three hours but not long to work still by time you've dropped off and got somewhere. he can do lunch club from 11.45 but thats £4 a go! he does it once a week.

Im skipping swimming. Just had lovely hot bath so not feeling the need to get in a cold pool really. Also need to clean bathroom hoover sofas and stairs so will get on with that and get parcels ready to take after nursery run.

nicolamumof3 · 13/12/2010 10:13

oh and as for my 'life' that is soley it now the kids. I have no outside interests, no hobbies, no social life quite sad. Neither does DH he's never got evenigns or weekends free. But i guess im just happy at home with my boys on the whole. And enjoying this new phase of them being at school and watching Tate grow up especially.

basl · 13/12/2010 11:10

Morning Xmas Grin Well Dunoon i blame how you feel on where you stay. I think you maybe miss Scotland??? I do remember your decisions about moving and think it can be awful if your not happy where you live.
Maxy will tell you all about that. Sure she misses is friends from where she used to live.

One thing i have noticed is when feeling down and depressed and i don't just mean fed up. It helps enormously to force yourself to go out. I hate it sometimes and could happily not see anyone for weeks. When i force myself to go to a toddler group or even walk round the block and chat to someone it really does help. Bloody hard work tho flyme and you have my 100% full sympathy. Strange old feeling eh?

Work now there's another thing. I work in the evenings and never look forward to it but when i am there it's like i step into a whole new world. I like the feeling it gives of just being alive. I do have lots of friends at work and chat and laugh alot and think this really really helps. Many a time i wanted to phone in because i felt desperately depressed and forced myself to go in tears. Then within 10mins you hear about someone else and start to forget everything.

Phew sorry to go on and on and on and on Xmas Grin

Girl that runs me home popped into the shell garage so i went in with her and purchased 5 little unique toy story figures. They are so cool. The guy said you get them for £1.99 if you buy petrol but he let me buy them anyway. They are fab and not in the shops. 5in you should go have a wee look.

oh basl shame about the ud Sad they are no pretty pushchair tho are they?

Now are you getting post now mrs?? Xmas Grin

I did used to love going to work in my little call centre the hours were fab and they other people i worked with, well we used to have a right laugh, and it was so nice to switch off from the kids for a few hours and be me not muuuuummmy! But i haven't worked now for 18m and have no desire too. I love being around to pick Tate up and spend time with my lukey. I think I worked so hard when tom was small then continued part time from when he started school up until April 09 so just enjoying my break still tbh.

basl · 13/12/2010 12:07

Tis very oooogly indeed i think. Xmas Grin

My post is very poor at the mo. I don't hardly seem to get any Shock oh forgot my fin there Xmas Shock

Nicola i think if i didn't have to work there is no way i would. I could easily think of another outlet let me tell you. Swimming at the local gym or just something out of the house. No needs must i am afraid so part of my life.

You sound fair chirpy today you feeling a wee bit better love ????

Urgh ladies, I am so ill :( sob

Had to call doctor out today as couldn't move without wanting to either throw up or pass out. I've a nasty chest infection and flu. DH off work still as he also has flu, although his work being shitty with him and want him back in asap.

I've been in bed most of today, luckily DS3 was at nursery and my cousin picked him back up for me. He went to bed pretty soon after getting in so not had much looking after kids to do.

Hope your DD feels bettersoon Dunoon.

nicolamumof3 · 13/12/2010 16:34

oh 5elves you are struggling aren't you. Its the worst damn time of year, so much on so much to do. Just rest rest rest this work take any help you can get before the kids break up.

maxybrown · 13/12/2010 17:05

oh no 5in awful Sad look after yourself

Dunoon - I can relate to what you are saying 100% - not that that probably bloody well helps, but I do think us Mums lose our way a bit. And so bloody incredibly lonely!

Yes Basl you are right - forcing oneself to go put, so very very hard - hoping Casper will help that one with me!

We're not going away next weekend now - panicking a bit about the snow that is meant to be coming - and well just generally bloody panicking! So very nice people said we can change it yay! And we can take casper - so be btter as he will be old enough to go for a walk then!

Oh basl are those Toy Story toys good? I saw them advertised the other day and fancied them but we don;t often go to that petrol station - well I personally never go lol - though maybe it would give me more oomph Xmas Grin

Right off to wrap pressies that need posting
