hi, we're expecting twins in feb and starting to research travel systems / push chairs etc etc - anyone had any experience with the i candy pear? in particular i need to know how good it is off road as we have a dog so will be out walking a lot (if i havent collapsed in a big heap looking after twins!) or any other suggestions for twin travel systems which are good off road etc.
Thanks!

I think its the peach blossom you want.

I have just bought one (it arrived on Saturday) and I've been practising in my house. I asked the 3 couples I've seen with them and all gave me great feedback. Very expensive though.

haven't heard of peach blossom before - is it for twins? is it icandy?

are they much lighter than the apples? everyone i know who had one jacked them in fairly quickly cos of the weight.

i need to go and find the range in a shop and have a play i think

you need not to have a play, you need to borrow a buggy full of 20 month old twins and a full supermarket shop and then see how easy it is to get up a steep kerb... Grin

I have a icandy pear it is a brilliant, its very good to use off road, i walk everywhere. Its not light and its not heavy but more light than heavy if that makes sense. ive pushed the icandy peach blossom, its alot heavier and If your short and using the carrycots you will hit your knees.

You might want to look at the baby Jogger City Select as well. John Lewis have both in so might be worth going to have a play with both.

The bj city select is also a nice pushchair, you can have the babies facing eachother etc, but its very long but yes pop into john lewis as they have the icandy pear & peach blossom & city select, also have a few other double you can test.

Can i ask if size bothers you as i know of other nice doubles but there bolky, also phil & teds do a side by side for twins

My friend has one ofhttp://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplayA_47_10751_-1_14561_85705_10001_14051 these It is not a travel system but it is strong really easy to push and is lighter than a one of these It lies flat and hers looked really snug in it it is so easy when my four year old hoped in when one of her was having a cuddle you could barely tell.
