GeekOfTheWeek · 16/09/2010 21:57

Its always warmer down there WinkEnvy

Liv had tights on today, she said they felt good because of the cold wind!!

FlyMeToDunoon · 16/09/2010 22:43

My mum says that snow is forecast for her part of the world next week [Edinburgh]Shock. Not that Edinburgh gets snow very often so it may not happen at all.
DD2 still in summer uniform and socks here. Am holding out bravely against putting the heating on until October too. Hey if my tight scottish pals can do it so can I.

nicolamumof3 · 16/09/2010 23:00

my mum put heating on tonight here she was babysitting. it is a bit chilly in the eves and half an hour on low makes it cosy for rest of night Grin

FlyMeToDunoon · 16/09/2010 23:12

I huddled lay under a quilt on sofa.

GeekOfTheWeek · 17/09/2010 09:17

There was frost on the cars this morning Shock

I love winter so this gets me excited every time.

Who has started thinking about christmas already?!

nicolamumof3 · 17/09/2010 09:32

me too geek, well actually autumn i love. i think of xmas all round tbh. we have already booked our lunch out this year!

nicolamumof3 · 17/09/2010 10:37

i love my brother, just got £30 white company gift voucher in post. yum!

5inthebed · 17/09/2010 11:30

Geek, why can't you keep it?

That was nice of your brother Nicola.

It's freezing! I have the heating on. Might join you under that duvet Dunoon Grin

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 17/09/2010 11:47

its cold here too, my sheepskins slippers fortunately just arrived. The voucher was for my bday, only 5 days late not bad for James!

FlyMeToDunoon · 17/09/2010 12:07

The more the warmer 5in!
My nose keeps running as it's cold.
Ooooh what will you get Nicola?
Have been a very lazy arse so far this morning and ignored the housework but now I think the time may have come.......

GeekOfTheWeek · 17/09/2010 12:08

5in, dh says too big and he prefers the bee Shock

This is from the man that professed to hate the bee and that it looked small and feeble like a dolls pram. Bloody hypocrite.

There is a grey mac xt near me on a sales board. Anyone had?

We are considering downsizing the car so am thinking of something that folds small to accomodate a smaller boot. How small does the nipper go?

5in, are you excited for xmas in your new home?

nic, where have you booked your xmas lunch?

Think we are at my mums this year. Had a nightmare with mil the previous 2 years so had it on our own last year as we had just had jack and moved house.

Bet i'll be working anyway Sad

Any news from basl?

FlyMeToDunoon · 17/09/2010 12:17

Anyone had a grey XT? Hmmmmmm let's think.
Yes! Basically we all have and they are great.

GeekOfTheWeek · 17/09/2010 12:24

Grin at FlyMe!

Any room under that duvet? I've just had to put the heating on.

nicolamumof3 · 17/09/2010 12:50

i've got my sheepskin slippers and cardi on now was cold. but beautiful sunshine. v.warm in my garden tho! all my washing dry so off to iron it. Terry off today and doing nursery run, then school run, then taking me to white co. bless him. Well he is out tonight so only fair!!

i've had at least half a dozen grey mac xt's how old is it/how much?

they are ok as car buggy, but think quest even better as they are lighter and smaller folded. nipper is v.compact folded i can do pics for you and measurements if you like? as i still have mine bnib in hallway!

nicolamumof3 · 17/09/2010 12:51

oh and what car do you have geek?

we are going to restaurant terry works out for xmas, £65pp but kids can go free Shock my parents coming too. be nice to have relaxed morning at home then get ready and go out. then hopefully back to my parents and stay there for boxing day as usual.

GeekOfTheWeek · 17/09/2010 13:09

That would be great. Thanks v much Nic Smile

We have a BMW 318i at the mo but it costs so much to run. I want something smaller and more economical. Toyota Yaris are one of my fave cars Blush But am not sure if it will be big enough for us.

£65pp with free kids is a fab price, its sounds lovely Envy

What are you going to get with your voucher?

nicolamumof3 · 17/09/2010 13:31

not sure yet, would like cashmere socks or wrist warms...must stay away from kiddies section tho!

think im going to change my cath kidston bag i got for bday. Dh bought me mini tote and i love it, but just not used to carry a handbag, prefer across body style so prob get one of the mini satchel types. CK is opposite white co. too! going in a minute when terry collected tate.

will photo nipper for you when i get back geek and measure it.

GeekOfTheWeek · 17/09/2010 14:36

Cheers hon Smile

nicolamumof3 · 17/09/2010 19:51

got in late and i cut my finger open earlier on the bloody bin so not feeling fab! Will do piccies and measurements folded for you in morning tho x

5inthebed · 17/09/2010 20:18

Evening ladies.

Geek, I'd say the bug cam would fold the same size if not smaller that the nipper. The nipper, for all it folds small still has the footplate that sticks out.

Looking forward to Christmas in my new house Grin. No idea here the tree is going to go though Hmm. I've got MIL nd SIL for Christmas dinner Sad. I hate my MIL. Last time she came for Christmas dinner she moaned all the time about everything! She didn't like serving herself, she'd rather have it dished out for her, she didn't like the gravy as it was made from scratch and not instant bisto, she doesn't eat mash so I had to serve her her own portion of boiled new potatoes. She even moaned because I didn't have any yorkshire puddings with Christmas dinner.

Nicola, £65 Shock that is so expensive! I'd never last down south with such high prices! A good Christmas dinner oop north is about £30-£35.

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 17/09/2010 20:30

£65 is about going rate i reckon, we don't have to pay for boys tho luckily or we wouldn't be goin as they are £35 each!

5inthebed · 17/09/2010 20:42

Good grief that is expensive! What are they going to serve? Fois gras? Wink

I am starving! Spent £100 on food shopping today and nothing in to eat!

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 17/09/2010 20:50

got it wrong its actually £69!

5inthebed · 17/09/2010 21:03

Oh yum! I'd have the chicken liver pate, followed by roast turkey and finished off by Artisan cheese selection. Yum!

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 17/09/2010 21:12

it is very lovely cheese there. Terry makes pate at xmas its devine mmmmmh!
