5inthebed · 14/09/2010 22:28

What are you like! So you keeping it or sending it back?

I've just some horrible news. My uncle has ied from a stroke :( Only found out because my idiotic young cousin posted it on FB Angry. Had to call my dad, who had only just got back from the hospital!!! to see what was going on. He was only in his 50's.

BexieID · 14/09/2010 23:41

Sorry about your uncle 5in.

Thanks for the link for littletrekkers nicola, they have Sigg screw bottle lids, mine has gone AWOL somewhere.

sal1309 · 15/09/2010 12:24

BexieID · 15/09/2010 13:03

Hiya Sal, Erin is nearly 9 months and still not sitting up on her own, let alone crawling [impatient mummy emoticon] Blush

How far is Newquay from where you are at present?

FlyMeToDunoon · 15/09/2010 13:26

Hi.
5in sorry about your uncle.

Slow day today. Just watching a film with DD3.

nicolamumof3 · 15/09/2010 18:36

i feel v.unsettled worried about tom at school, but everyone nagging me to leave him alone feel a bit run down with it all tbh.

two tired little boys sucking thumbs watching NickJr. so off to bath/bed them in a minute then i can chill out. Couldn't eat my dinner with boys was too wound up now im hungry!

Hiya Sal, as for prams i have micralite superlite which i adore one of best prams i've ever had, may just put some buggy weights on front tho as a bit tippy.

5inthebed · 15/09/2010 19:11

Why do you feel unsettled Nicola? Is Tom ok?

I've just showered the boys (DS2 loves the walk in shower) and they are both in bed. DS1 at TKD and will shower when he gets back.

Buggy weights are great on Micralite Nicola.

Sal, can't believe your baby is crawling already! Doesn't seem 2 minutes since you had her.

nicolamumof3 · 15/09/2010 20:11

i don't think he is 5in, i know that boy inside out, but he keeps saying all is fine. School rang today to say he was ill wanted to come home, but i'd lost mobile so never got message til he'd finished school grrr. but they didn't try toms dad or terry. was he ill or just avoiding something i don't know?!

5inthebed · 15/09/2010 20:46

Oh that is worrying Nicola. Do you think he would confide in his dad or Terry more than you, or does he usually tell you his worries?

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 15/09/2010 21:40

he trusts me more usually he's always bit more wary of them. my mums here tomorrow and my stepdad who he's very close to, im going to see if my mum can get anything out of him whilst we are out.

Nip in the air tonight, so i've ordered myself some sheepskin slippers to cheer me up!

5inthebed · 15/09/2010 21:45

Well I hope it's nothing Nicola.

It's been cold here all day! The wind is freezing, and I've been debating whether or not the heating needs to go on.

OP posts:
FlyMeToDunoon · 16/09/2010 08:09

Morning all.
Off to school in a mo'
Agree worrying Nicola and hard to tell. All I get out of DD is 'fine' with the pre-teen slight shrug or roll of eyes when I ask how it's going. And it's a fine line between asking, trying to help and pushing too much. Parenting is a tough job.
Micralite is tippy and I find it annoying when you have nothing in the seat and it is difficult to push as all light and wibbly at front. However DDs scooted to school yesterday and then DD3 walked there to collect in the afternoon. My pushchair days are nearly over.

basl Smile hun.
Grin

sal1309 · 16/09/2010 08:32

bexie cant believe your dd is 9 months already its gone really quick

newquay is about 6 hours down from here so quite a trek and alot further away from my parents :(

nicola hope you manage to get to the bottom of things.

right better go and get dd's ready and take dd1 to preschool

BexieID · 16/09/2010 10:52

I found buggyweights useless on the Micralite as it still tipped and also it disrupted the balance coming up/down stairs, felt heavy at the front. Unless I was doing something wrong.

Sun is out here, 2nd load of washing on. Hoping theres some bras in that 2nd wash as they seem to have gone AWOL along with Erins socks. Can't find a matching pair anywhere! Grin

BexieID · 16/09/2010 10:55

We're 400 miles from my parents, but PIL are 4 miles away and SIL lives next door.

I feel fed up atm. Need to do a toy cull as well. Wish the council would offer us a 3 bed house, lol. Or at least have nothing go wrong that will eat the savings for a deposit on a house

5inthebed · 16/09/2010 12:00

Is your flat 2 or 3 bedrooms Bexie? I hated living in my flat with no garden, so hard isn;t it when you've got LOs.

I've been glossing my bathroom today and then I just need to get some curtains or some sort of window dressing for it and I'm done. Maybe even buy a new shower curtain.

Does anyone know where I can buy a wax cloth tablecloth, or even some wax cloth material so I could make one and cover the chair seats myself?

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 16/09/2010 12:28

have a look john lewis or cath kidston does oil cloth.

GeekOfTheWeek · 16/09/2010 13:01

Hi all,

Its freezing here, winter is well and truly on the way.

Am picking my new cam up later. Now, should I sell the bee? Then I could get a nipper Grin Decisions decisions!!

How was Tom this morning nic?

BexieID · 16/09/2010 13:33

It's a 2 bed, but can't trust Tom with Erin so have cotbed in our room, just had to put 2 chest of drawers in Toms room.

The garden area here shared by 6 flats, though the upstairs lot don't seem to bother. We are lucky to have that space. SILs flat being an end one is slightly bigger, though she denies it, lol.

BexieID · 16/09/2010 13:35

I think AF might be making an appearance soon as well Sad, seem to be at bit emotional, like reading something sad just sets me off Blush

nicolamumof3 · 16/09/2010 15:13

ah bless you bexie.

Geek i didn't see tom as he was at his dads last night. just started raining here, but not what i'd call cold, no jackets yet and tate still in shorts for school Smile

hmmmm i think i'd keep bee too Blush

5inthebed · 16/09/2010 17:38

Bexie, the garden you have going on is lovely. I've seen photos before. Looks huge!

Geek, keep Bee! You need a stroller type pram as well as the Cam so don't get shot of just yet. Uness of course you buy Nipper and a Maclaren Wink

OP posts:
GeekOfTheWeek · 16/09/2010 21:22

5in, great minds Grin I was considering a mac purely for the boot of car.

I have got the cam, it is fab and beautiful but dh says I can't keep it Shock I mean, wtf!! I need it!! I think I love it.

Nic, I can't believe Tate in shorts. Its gone really cold here, I even had a scarf on earlier.

I am back to work on the 1st Nov but matron has agreed to let me return on 3 days per week.

nicolamumof3 · 16/09/2010 21:37
