Hurrah basl for a sing song.
In Scotland I kept hearing Billy Connelly [in my head you understand] singing I'm Nobody's Child. Just the bit where he says
"We'll have him"
and
"Take the curlers from your hair"

I must get some Billy on CD

nicolamumof3 · 05/09/2010 08:42

morning all!

Bexie don't worry about erin, my two youngest were so late, only sat at 10m ish and crawled around a year. Walked at 16m/17m respecitively. Was hard going as i was heavily pg with luka and carrying tate everywhere, thought he'd never walk.

i love the superlite, am so so glad i've got it. How it will fare in colder weather i really don't know as is v.exposed and hood not good for anything. But looks so cool, luka likes it and was fab on bus. Lighter than xt.

FlyMeToDunoon · 05/09/2010 08:52

Nicola do you not think the hood is ok when fully open and child is right up inside?
I keep thinking that it needs a waterproof apron or stay put blanket as I find the raincover a faff. I actually emailed undercover pvc to ask if they would do a raincover for it but - no.
I will also definitly get a liner made for the winter as the cold winds will just wheeech through the mesh.
Luka will be snug in the footmuff no?

carrielou2007 · 05/09/2010 09:05

Can't wait to have a good few drinkies Blush had almost decided to stop feeding what with being back at work but neither ds or I am ready yet so no wine for me (or singing!!) yet!!

I wish ds would sleep through the night, he may be crawling and climbing over everything but he never bloomin sleeps at night, dd was the same, did not sleep through until a year. I am the most competitive person you could meet - apart from when it comes to my dc. I think they have enough to cope with, without having to worry about all the 'my Felix was writing sonnets by 8 months' etc.

Divatheshopaholic · 05/09/2010 09:28

FlyMeToDunoon · 05/09/2010 09:47

I quite like that lingering smoke smell sometimes. Very evocative.
I have ordered a Billy Connolly CD from Amazon.
And some waterproof nylon fabric to try making my own Superlite apron/stay put!
Right must get off the pooter and spending money........must make snunkie order. Now where did I put the note of fabrics I liked Grin

lillypie · 05/09/2010 10:20

Hi everyone Grin
I have had a horrible bug and been off work all week but feeling much better now Smile

The good news is I have a car!! GrinMy Mum bought a teany tiny micra and I can have it when she goes home in November.I love it and start learning to drive next week!

Basl if you add the west country to your tour then we can meet to.I live close to carrielou
So we could have a mini mn west country meetup Grin

Nic I am so tempted by superlite but resisting so far.Issy really only uses her mini micro scooter now and 3 wheeler just gets used for carboots once a week (manly to carry stuff in)

Off for a family meal today to celebrate my Dads birthday so should really get my ass in gear!

5inthebed · 05/09/2010 11:06

Thank you for my sing song Basl Grin

Lilly, good luck with the driving lessons. I had a micra and it was a fab little car. He was called Justin Blush

Nicola, there used to be a seller on Ebay who id liners for micralites, they were just a strip of waterproof backed material. You can just about see it here. Was looking at this album, and found a photo of me the day before I had DS3 How big!!!

OP posts:
BexieID · 05/09/2010 13:02

I used my fastfold over two winters, one with the old style muff and one with Kaiser. Much colder up here and Tom was ok. Think he may have been in snowsuit as well maybe? So long ago. 3rd winter here I had urban with Kaiser and last year I used cdrive with no muff at all, lol.

This winter I will be using urban with lodger I think, unless I get an army pink Kaiser!

BexieID · 05/09/2010 13:07

lol carrie on the Babymel. It is nice just annoyed they didn't give me a postal discount as bought 2 things, they sent togther and actual post was half what I paid! If it's really waterproof, I might get a black one (but my pal with twins has black one).

carrielou2007 · 05/09/2010 13:20

I'd be cross as that's against the rules, if they don't discount but they put in one parcel and you have paid for two I would be emailing them to tell them I would be after a part refund or possibly that one of my parcels did not turn up Grin I really like mine (for my CM to use as she hates change bags and uses ordinary bag, this should go on the xt nicely) but I thought they all had stroller clips, this must be an old one??

Hope you are feeling a bit better lillypie, fabbi news on the car but how will you fit a buggy in it!!!

BexieID · 05/09/2010 13:26

I asked for discount twice before I paid and they said no and rambled on how post would be more than I paid. I just replied that it was a shame no discount and would save them posting seperately. If they had posted in a jifyy I wouldn't have minded as I got one yesterday to post a bag in and it was £1.29, but it was 2 bin bags!

carrielou2007 · 05/09/2010 13:27

Lillypie, is Brook way off bradley stoke way far from you??

BexieID · 05/09/2010 13:29

Mine doesn't have stroller hooks. Don't think my pals does either, she just straps it over handle on her double Nipper, which is why I knew strap would be big enough for me Blush

carrielou2007 · 05/09/2010 13:43

Hmmn, I still think that is not right, you have paid two lots of postage for two parcels and got one so I think I would ask for the diff or report them for 'breaking the rules' that will prob frighten them into a refund of a few quid!!

I really like my bag but now I want one iwth the clips!! I bouht a black skip hop over a week ago that has still not arrived from ebay so suppose should just use that but these are really lovely Smile

BexieID · 05/09/2010 14:25

They are nice, does yours have zipped side pockets? If you sell it, let me know, lol. I will mail them about post and maybe do a claim for excessive post. I had thought about saying parcel not turned up, but don't want to tempt fate, iykwim.

FlyMeToDunoon · 05/09/2010 14:30

Bexie I would complain for overcharging on postage. It's not as if they are having to shell out for packaging is it.

nicolamumof3 · 05/09/2010 17:43

bexie if they send together they should combine postage so i would pp claim tbh. tight bastards, i hate ebay!!

the fastfold fabric is more canvasy i think than superlite which is mesh hence the need for liner. its like a volo fabric iykwim.

had lovely day being fed and watered at my mums. So v.chilled now off to do ironing. oh the joys.

Got your text dunoon just thinking on, please do list tho! i can't decide. I think i've been spoilt with hoods on xt and nipper both huge. the micralite is nothing really! But i love it soooooo much. Am wondering if nipper will get used, but you know me!!

FlyMeToDunoon · 05/09/2010 19:16

Ok.Smile

lillypie · 05/09/2010 19:20

Carrie it's very near me it's just off the roundabout where the Aldi is.

FlyMeToDunoon · 05/09/2010 20:23

Whew ebay listing done.
Quiet tonight eh. I should be ironing and sewing name labels on [yes still some more to do] so better get off and do it.
Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday evening.

nicolamumof3 · 05/09/2010 20:31

yes just relaxing now, watching corrie i recorded earlier, wondering if i need a little snack-ette tho as i feel hungry.

done my ironing thank goodness, Terry just gone to get tom from Tae Kwon Do, then he's bath and bed bless him he's still tired!

i need to ebay list too. i think i need to put xt on Sad

FlyMeToDunoon · 05/09/2010 20:41

It's amazing to know I don't need or want another Maclaren!
DP is about to remove the computer which is good as name labels do not attach themselves.
Goodnight.

FlyMeToDunoon · 05/09/2010 20:45

He's still yacking to DD1 so I will impart to you the information that I have been eating peanut MNs all evening Grin

FlyMeToDunoon · 05/09/2010 20:46

If he yacks much longer I may order a Snunkie liner.
Grin
