carrielou2007 · 04/09/2010 18:36

Glad you are feeling better Nicola and enjoying your new buggy!!

My CM has been using my black xt this week and had to try not to be precious about the silver tips but they were ok erm, as were my dc whilst I were at work of course Grin

Basl not fancying a trip down to the west country then??!!

basl · 04/09/2010 19:15

Evening ladies, been a busy girl today. A friend of mine was invited to an awfully pawsh wedding and wanted me to put her hair up as she was never happy with it going to a salon and she knew i used to do it really tight so at 10am this morning after being up ALL night with daniel [runny bum and sick]. Her DH picked me up and we went to her house. I was met with a glass of bubbly Grin must get back on that wagon Blush and had a fantastic time. The hair up went very well and i stayed a while to help her get ready. She looked absolutely stunning with some new miu miu??? shoes and she looked so happy and pleased with herself. She has three very demanding children and her dh works away months at a time. So the moral of this long message is how good it makes you feel to get dressed up now and again and go out!!!!

Carrie i would love to. Where about exactly and how easy would it be to get there from Manchester??? Oh i really do need a tour bus. Wish maxy had not sold her camper van we could have used that Grin

still pondering over the swift Grin

nicolamumof3 · 04/09/2010 19:21

keep pondering basl, sometimes the ponder is nicer than the reality!

well im well on my way, after two glasses wine already! just tidying up tho then collapsing in front on x factor.

dh just asked what i'd like to do for bday..romantic meal out sat night or familyt thing sunday lunch. Being a greedy mare i of course said both. But then suggested why not have some friends round sat night for some cheese and wine! then family lunch on the saturday. Getting quite excited now about a little drinks party. i so need a social life!!

carrielou2007 · 04/09/2010 20:03

Basl that sounds lovely, what a lovely thing to do for someone. We are quite a way from manchester, about 4 hours as my b-i-l coms from Warrington not far from there. Can't tell you how much I love the swift Grin

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/09/2010 20:45

One glass of red in here and nice and glowing.

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/09/2010 21:06

Nicola did your Superlite come with a sticker on the footplate?

nicolamumof3 · 04/09/2010 21:16

yes i think it is a sticker. doesn't look like its going to peel, i hope, luckily luk's feet don't reach footplate to rub it.

BexieID · 04/09/2010 22:52

carrie, is that your DS standing up and crawliing? Erin still not sitting up Sad. Hope theres nothing wrong.

How much is the Storksak?

First saturday back at work today, well tired.

5inthebed · 04/09/2010 22:56

Wel I have to say how disappointed I am in you Basl. You got drunk last night and didn't even give us a sing song SadGrin

We have been to the Ford/MN film thingy at Alnwick Castle tonight. It was freezing and the boys were getting a bit bored of the "family" film (Grease) so we left at half 9. It was a good night though from whet we saw. I've had two glasses of wine to heat myself up Wink. Ds2 stopping at my dads and Ds3 at my mams so I'll have a nice lie in tomorrow and DSH has to deal with DS1 and his two friends hahaha.

Nicola, knew you'd ike the superlite. Micralites are my all time favourite pram. I still might get one in winter.

OP posts:
5inthebed · 04/09/2010 22:57

xposts Bexie. How old is Erin now? Try not to worry too much, some children take longer than others, try not to compare her developement with Toms.

OP posts:
BexieID · 04/09/2010 23:03

Erin is 8.5 months. It doesn't help that she hardly gets tummy time as don't trust Tom not jumping on her and when I do remember when he's not around, shes just eaten and is sometimes sick with tummy time.

Micralites are my favs too. Just waiting for Skate to sell so I can get one.

BexieID · 04/09/2010 23:04

She eats/drinks better than Tom. He never drank from a cup or chewed food.

5inthebed · 04/09/2010 23:07

Thats the thing with 2nd/3rd/4th.... chilren, they don't get as much attention as you gave the first born :( DS2 was just over 8 months when he sat up by himself, try not to worry too much. Tom is in nursery now, so you'll be able to give her more tummy time :)

OP posts:
carrielou2007 · 04/09/2010 23:08

Bexie yes ds started crawling about 3/4 weeks ago - before he could sit up by himself and pulls himself up to stand against the buggy/soft/cot etc. I think he will be walking very soon. Dd did not crawl until almost 9 months.

Shock going back to work isn't it, felt like I'd never been away and felt like running out into the street and shouting 'I have two children now I want to be with them not at work' Blush

Storksak is 50 posted, no long strap or any access (keeping!!), fab size for 2 dc but I want a diff one Grin

basl · 04/09/2010 23:18

5in Grin I wasn't my usual drunk lol i still had Daniel not well with a little bug so up most of the night. I was giving it big chats on FB tho. That face book is a nighmare for me. I just want to talk all night. lol

By yon bonnie banks,
And by yon bonnie braes,
Where the sun shines bright on Loch Lomond,
Where me and my true love
Were ever want to gae,
On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.

Oh! ye'll take the high road and
I'll take the low road,
And I'll be in Scotland afore ye;
But me and my true love
Will never meet again
On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.

'Twas then that we parted
In yon shady glen,
On the steep, steep side of Ben Lomond,
Where in purple hue
The Highland hills we view,
And the moon coming out in the gloaming.

Oh! ye'll take the high road and
I'll take the low road,
And I'll be in Scotland afore ye;
But me and my true love
Will never meet again
On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.

The wee birdie sang
And the wild flowers spring,
And in sunshine the waters are sleeping,
But the broken heart it kens
Nae second Spring again,
Tho' the waeful may cease frae their greeting.

Oh! ye'll take the high road and
I'll take the low road,
And I'll be in Scotland afore ye;
But me and my true love
Will never meet again
On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.

Hope you liked that 5in and are you coming on my tour. You can jump on the train via Newcastle???

BexieID · 04/09/2010 23:22

No long strap? Poop, thats what I need. I got a choc/blue Babymel off ebay thats arrived a bit scuffed, might just use that for now. Was wanting something rainproof.

Erin has finally gone into her cot tonight Blush. Lucky she teeny and still fitted in moses basket. Shes still in our room as simply don't trust Tom with her.

Work is annoying, changed the layout of things but will get there.

BexieID · 04/09/2010 23:25

lol Basil. Funny you sing that song (my parents sing it when they visit, lol) as I drove the back way home from work due to roadworks, I drove alongside Loch Lomond today Grin. Only 3 miles from me.

basl · 04/09/2010 23:31

Ah it is a fav of mine when drunk. My family are all very good singers but i just can't hold a note. Very billy connelly sherri booonnnn type singing. lol

Erin in her cot Grin where has the time gone? toms a wee cracker as well. Does he try to beat her up lol Daniel is the bully in my house. Olivia always telling on him.

carrielou2007 · 05/09/2010 07:48

Bexie I bought a black babymel one from ebay as I missed out on that blue one!!
