goodnight...yep end of an era for me no more macs Sad

5inthebed · 05/09/2010 20:50

I thought you had sold the XT Nicola? Someone on sales board was looking for one.

DS1 passed his TKD grading today, he is now a blue tag Grin

P&T went today. DS2 has found he can sit on front of nipper, but might swap him with ds3 as he is a good walker with littlelife reigns on.

I'm all bunged up tonight, thin I'm getting a cold :(

nicolamumof3 · 05/09/2010 20:51

i thought i had too!

yay well done to your ds1 5in. how are you liking nipper? did you sell your quest?

5inthebed · 05/09/2010 20:55

Yes I sold quest to a friend for £40. She has been struggling with a mothercare own pushchair and was about to buy a chicco. She loves it, her little boy sleeps in it much better now and doesn't scram on to be out of it.

It annoys me sometimes as I give my friends loads of advice on prams, only when they ask for it, yet never take it. I mean, it's not as if I don't know what I'm talking about!

good morning all :)

hope you are all well.

FlyMeToDunoon · 06/09/2010 10:44

Morning.
Grey here with threats of heavy rain.
Superlite has one flat and one soft tyre- darn.
Will have to pump up and see if they are punctures.

basl · 06/09/2010 10:50

Morning ladies Grin it's official my world tour starts on October the 8th. So i only have Friday, Sat and home for work on the Sunday. So i will visit Maxy first and Diva and anyone else who wants to have a meet up in Manchester. Going to have to look into train times etc for kent. The west girls I really don't know how i will fit that in but i think this could be an ongoing thing for me. My dh reckons i could do a West country tour in Nov for weekend then maybe fit in some scottish tour dates. lol what on earth do i sound like. Can you imagine someone lurking and thinking who the beep does she think she is.

So i have plenty time to get organised and book stuff. I am so excited to come and visit you all. Please don't leave the country. xxx

FlyMeToDunoon · 06/09/2010 10:55

Ooooh exciting basl. Congratulations.

Grin

It will be fabulous to meet you and hopefully Nicola too.

FlyMeToDunoon · 06/09/2010 10:56

Just checked the calendar,I don't have anything on that weekend. Yay.

basl · 06/09/2010 10:59

I know it will be great. Yes i think i want to go to that sand pit in the park you have. Oh mind you i won't have the kids YAY!!!! What do you think we can get up to????

SingleMumAndProud · 06/09/2010 11:04

Hi, can I join you guys? I have only just realised I think I am actually a buggy-a-holic Blush

I have currently:
3 Tandem doubles
2 side by side doubles
3 Singles

I put 3 buggies on ebay though as I need some space. I need to get rid of another double though I think but can't decide which. I have just got a big bulky double side by side (twin twister) which is much much easier to push - although haven't had a chance to test it that much yet, going out with it this afternoon. But it's too big for the car really. So I need to either keep the Mothercare Hoxton Tandem or the Mclauren twin. I think I want to keep the Tandem for the car - as it will be easier for shopping trips etc and I would then have one side by side. BUT the Mclauren was given to me by my SMIL so can't sell it really (and if I did I would give her the money) Where as the Hoxton I could ebay and get some money for some new accessories for the twin twister if I get on well with it. Maybe I will just keep both Blush

Any tips on keeping buggies clean? I have nackered my back scrubbing them all up for ebaying! And the twin twister I got yesterday is very grubby. The covers do come off, but it has a hard board bit in where the kids legs go so don't want to break that by putting it in the washing machine?

And hoods are what I struggle with most!

I really want a Nipper 360 double really but I can't afford to buy one. Keeping an eye out for a bargain though. The twin twister seems similar but unless I am lucky enough to find somebody who has used both, I won't really know if the nipper is better or not without buying one!

This is also my first buggy with proper tyres. Do I need a pump?

basl · 06/09/2010 11:09

Hiya SingleMum why don't you get rid of all and just get a nipper 360 double and single. Grin they are very highly rated i believe. Not done much pram cleaning i am afraid as i never have one long enough to get dirty Blush Hope you get it sorted tho. Smile Oh and i am not a loon btw if you read my earlier post Blush

nicolamumof3 · 06/09/2010 11:14

oooh basl im off to check calender, sounds great!

hiya singlemum and welcome, you're in the right place!

i am a bit anal about keeping prams clean i must admit, i think if you regularly go over them each week then they can be maintained. I always make sure that any crumbs, sand etc are always brushed out regulary. if we've been to beach then chassis/wheels will get good thorough scrub (i use bottle brush for wheels gets in all nooks and crannies!) i like prams with removable covers but the nipper is a bugger to get covers off and on so i've just scrubbed those past with a solution of ariel and then hosed down in garden. As thin fabrics they dry v.quick. If it has a board in i wouldn't put in machine. but if covers come off then easier to scrub in bath then on frame.

i'd sooner keep mac double for car i think and have air tyre double for main walking. I don't actually own a pump, i walk round to garage with mine and pump them up there Blush

i've currently got micralite superlite and it is awesome, i really love it just been to shops and park this morning its fab.

Dunoon, rain forecast later but im putting more washing out now as quite warm out and one load dried already!

lillypie · 06/09/2010 11:22

Aww 5in i will be having other tour dates. I really must stop saying that. I am going to slip up and say that to someone in Real life and wonder what i am on Grin I love Newcastle and plan a trip there with the family for christmas shopping so i will def be up for a visit to your mams for roast at one point. For what it is worth i just wanted to see Maxy really as i don't think she is feeling too great and she has been a wonderful help to me when i most needed it and thought i would pay her a visit but also visit kent as that was easy to get to i would imagine. I would love if we all met up but its so hard to arrange. 5in if you or anyone else wants to chum me i would love it. You know that hopefully. xx

Basil, you're funny. I'm away to my mums sunday 10th October, shame we all couldn't meet that week. But aye, a scottish meet would be good. How easy would it be for you to get to Glasgow? Much more than anywhere else I guess, lol.

FlyMeToDunoon · 06/09/2010 17:14

Can do train into Londo easily basl.
It would be much easier for you to just travel to London and we will meet you there. We might have to go away home earlier though. Are we talking afternoon cocktails or evening wine and drunken singing chatting.

nicolamumof3 · 06/09/2010 17:25

i need to get a babysittter so need to know what day Sad terry is working grrr!

dunoon hows dd1 finding the homework? its driving me nuts already, and tom had some 'taunting' at lunchtime and so bit unhappy today. He's so small for age bless him. I hope he speaks up to tutor as i've told him to Sad

basl · 06/09/2010 17:26
