I won't cry im not that bad.

Have a good day maxy thinking of James, bet he loves the picnic.

GeekOfTheWeek · 21/07/2010 12:08

Hi everyone,

I am today. Josh is off to spain tomorrow with his grandparents for 10 days. I am devastated. Hes never been so far from home or for so long I drop him at the airport at 5am tomorrow.

Dh says that I have subconsciously booked for us to go to spain instead of greece because i'm upset. We wont be near him though, we are in costa dorada and he is in costa blanca.

nicolamumof3 · 21/07/2010 12:19

oh i so know how you feel. Tom goes 2 weeks with his dad every year. He went to barbados when he was five or six was awful.

5inthebed · 21/07/2010 12:38

Afternoon ladies.

Sorry for the depressing post yesterdy. I jut feel like crap atm, so stressed about everything and I'm not sleeping very well. I've also put on a load of weight again, as I comfort eat when I'm like this. Life is pants atm.

Geek, I'd be just the same. I miss my boys even if they stop overnight somewhere. Hope he has a lovely time

Maxy, hope the SALT goes ok.

Nicol, can't believe Tate is going to big boys school in September!

maxybrown · 21/07/2010 16:06

Does she want to take my son? No one has ever offered to have him overnight so - quite happy to see how I would feel about it

SALT was fine, though she did say, 30 years expereince and she is baffled by him! Wants to know what hospital say about him tomorrow but he will do another group session in September (yawn) and be referred to go to speech unit next spetember. He will do his proper nursery year there and possibly his reception year too

nicolamumof3 · 21/07/2010 16:15

Maxy im sure once he starts nursery his language will totally come on. Its what started luka talking.

oh and ime nobody's 'offered' to have my boys i just ask them to have them

maxybrown · 21/07/2010 16:25

but they think he probably has speech dyspraxia Nic - so it won't just come unfortunately. It's a neurological problem. Though he shows other signs it's possibly not that - hence why the speech therapist is so baffled! That's why he's going to the hospital to be checked again thoroughly in his mouth - though I don't think he has the ora motor side problem of it anyway. He thinks he IS talking - will talk all day long, never shuts up but there are no words whatsoever or starts of words at all. Well apart from hello no yes, but they are clear as day! He used to say other things when he was very small then lost them all!

nicolamumof3 · 21/07/2010 16:48

sorry maxy i must have missed all this, i didn't know

maxybrown · 21/07/2010 16:49

And 5in, it wasn't a depressing post - I tell you moving is VERY stressful. Especially because this is something you have wanted for so long, no wonder you're not sleeping - your head will be spinning - not just with moving, but wanting it to be right, I expect too.

5inthebed · 21/07/2010 17:45

Do they think James has verbal dyspraxia Maxy? DS3 has dyspraxia, he runs a bit like Phoebe off friends. He didn't start speaking until he was 3 1/2 years and now there is no shutting him up , although some words are still a bit uncomprehensible if you don't know him. His 1:1 understands him better than I do sometimes.

Still no keys, but it looked like they were finishing of when we passed today. I hope we get the keys tomorrow. I'm going to have a bottle glass of wine tonight to help me sleep. This no sleeping lark is just no good. Making me one cranky cow.

maxybrown · 21/07/2010 18:03

Yes 5in, but only that - no physical dyspraxia. Though she isn't 100% certain but def something! I used to work with a lot of dyspraxic children. Used to use something called pindoras box, it was fab!

5inthebed · 21/07/2010 18:18

Ds2 has physical and verbal, sorry, wasn't insinuating James had both. He'll get there eventually you know

I am still on the lookout for a bargain three wheeler.

maxybrown · 21/07/2010 18:30

hee hee, I love how it is so hard to interpret things in type sometimes - I didn't for one minute thing you did 5in

Thank you

5inthebed · 21/07/2010 18:53

I know you didn't , I thought I did

I'm relaxing now, kids are in bed, DH and DS1 at TKD and I've got a nice glass of red and some paella. I'm a happy bunny (for now)

5inthebed · 21/07/2010 20:49

Where is everyone

Did I kill the thread?

maxybrown · 21/07/2010 20:53

That's usualy my job I was out at docs, back now for a cuppa! Had a lovely walk past all the canal boats afterwards.

I am sooooooooooooo tired

5inthebed · 21/07/2010 20:59

My brother was on a canal boat stag weekend last weekend. They were dressed as pirates and ended up in Hull

I've spent a good hour loking for a nice fire surround/mantlpiece. I live such an exciting life!

nicolamumof3 · 21/07/2010 21:10

well im having huge proud mummy moment! Just went to my Tom's leavers service at school. He did an awesome dance to 'Begging You' (Madcon) was sooooo good, v.v.proud of my little man.

5inthebed · 21/07/2010 21:13

Aww lovely Nicola! Does he go to street dance lessons? Can't remember if you said or not.

nicolamumof3 · 21/07/2010 21:20

yep you're right he did go but stopped at xmas. He's so natural don't mean to boast but was just impressed how much he's improved with no classes bless him. I wish he'd stick to this instead of football. But you know wants to be same as all his mates.

5inthebed · 21/07/2010 21:36

Shame he didn't stick with it. DS1 got his school report and he done excellent in verything except dance lol. Maybe I should sign him up for something like street dance

DS1 actually done really well in his school report. I hate bragging about it a DS2's report was awful, but Ds1 got all 3s on his SATS, which means he is a year ahead of what he should be. I'm so proud of him.

basl · 21/07/2010 21:45

Evening everyone, well lots been going on today!!
Geek i can imagine that must be josh going away for 10 days but what an opportunity eh. I never went abroad till i was a full paying adult but kids these days are so used to going. I do think it is such an experience and i would have loved it when i was little but i do have very fond memories of our caravan holidays and one particular memory when we went to visit Holy Island and whilst we were visiting the tide came in and we were stuck no big deal but when you are little it was such a drama. We had banana rolls spread with the caravan key [spewey] and sat until it was safe enough to drive on. We were screaming with excitement as there was still some water underneath. Anyhooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!1

Maxy james baffled yet another expert eh??? It must be frustrating for you and your dh not to have a name or exact label. Mmmmm Wonder what the next appointment will bring. Hope james was ok with it today. Does he look put out with it at all or is he how i imagine and still looking at them like "what's the problem" "Your the one with the problem" Sorry maxy but i just have a feeling about your wee boy.

5in my love i am the depressing one on here not you. it sounds like a total nightmare what you are coping with. Like dangling a carrot sort of thing. If i was you i would forget the diet within reason just now and get started when in your new house. Fresh start eh. You have done it before and you will do it again.

basl · 21/07/2010 21:47

Nicola how cool having a street dancer in your house. I would be so proud too. I love dancing and would have been up there too if it where mine. I remember [here she goes again] My sister asked me to go to her kids Caleigh as she could not make it and the kids where asked to pic a family member to dance with and i was up before i was picked.
Very proud moment for you nicola.

5inthebed · 21/07/2010 21:52

Sorry Basl, have your crown back

When are you back at work Basl?

basl · 21/07/2010 22:14

Well not that i like that crown but yes i will take it from you. I am thinking about going back next week but been talking about with dh and i am not sure i can face it. I have had a few set backs lately and next week my sister is going into hospital for an op so we will have her kids for a week. Not that would stop me going as my dh more than capable on the two nights i go in midweek. I just feel my brain has gone all fuzzy and i will not be able to keep up. It is a very fast stressful job and you need to be on the ball just now. However maybe the kick up the butt i need.
