5inthebed · 27/07/2010 19:04

CArrie your two are just gorgeous! Your Dd has lovely curly blonde hair.

Well I'm back in for the night. DH at the house putting base coat on the walls and ceilings, kitchen done and not much packing let to do. I'm bloody knackered though!

nicolamumof3 · 27/07/2010 21:27

heard from maxy earlier, she has arrived!

horsemadgal · 28/07/2010 09:28

Aww glad she arrived safely. I hate travelling too.

basl · 28/07/2010 11:18

Morning everyone, Nicola i received the trousers today ta very much. Daniel is now a proud owner of Pale blue, beige, and the navy all the linen roll ups so very pleased as the are so lovely.

Glad to hear maxy arrived and can enjoy her hols now.

My sister is going in for a Hysterectomy today so i have her children till tuesday. She is so aprehensive but her fybroid was so huge she could hardly breath sometimes. It has fallen at the wrong time really as my mum away on hols and is fretting so much. She is a super worrier if either of us is unwell or having something done now since my sister died as you can imagine, but i assured her she will be well looked after and visited while in hospital.

I am going back to work next thursday and sweating thinking about it but i have decided although i am still a bit of a nervy wreck i have to force my self to get back to reality. So it's all go!!

What does everyone else have planned today?

Carrie i was very good on SW yesterday and weight myself this morning and dropped 2 pounds so i am def going to stick to it. thankyou for the gentle kick up the bum.

nicolamumof3 · 28/07/2010 11:30

ooh you are busy then basl. should keep your mind off work at least? Hope your sister ok, my mum had hysterectomy prob nearly 20yrs ago so she wasn't actually that old either due to fibroids.

we back from music group, used to take the boys when they were alot younger and they are running summer club twice in hols. nice to see some of the other grown up 'babies' we are home now for some lunch then off to the friends. Weather is lovely here. Bit of cloud but v.warm.

basl · 28/07/2010 11:43

sounds great nicola hope you have a good time

basl · 28/07/2010 17:07

Well my sisters op has been canceled and she is so stressed out. They can't tell her when her next date is and she is a childminder with all her kids booked in on a certain date to return and then there is her own kids which is slightly awkward now i am returning to work.

It is awful they can call at the very last min. My dh had his gown on and the markings on his knee and then told sorry you will have to come back

So we are going out for our supper, Parents and me and my sister. Sean & Lauren have asked to stay the night anyway so why not take her out to cheer her up eh?

horsemadgal · 28/07/2010 18:05

Goodness basl, what a nightmare. Hope she gets a date soon.

nicolamumof3 · 28/07/2010 18:35

5inthebed · 28/07/2010 22:18

Evening ladies, just a quick note to say I'll not be back until next week. So nervous about. Moving but excited at the same time.

See you all soon x

horsemadgal · 28/07/2010 22:18

Hope it all goes well 5in.

basl · 28/07/2010 22:51

Evening ladies, back in from a lovely meal out. Had a really good time and managed to cheer my sister along. The young waiter gave her a very flirty smile while taking the order and i think it made her night We could not stop lol when he came back with the food. I was so for him as he had no clue what was going on but lol with us. So rude but i think no harm done and it made my sis laugh so there you go.

Kids hyper as my dh idea of babysitting was letting them chase him about the house while he hoovered. There was an complete riot of laughter when i came home and poor Daniel still screaming "mummy your bed peeeeeeeeees mummy your bed" He is a little monkey with this now because as soon as you lift him and take him in he wants to chat and sing. The tears stop but he sounds like he is being tortured. Tis very hard.

basl · 28/07/2010 22:52

Good luck 5in it sounds perfect for you just the stress of it all. Take care now xxx

nicolamumof3 · 29/07/2010 07:08

im now back in oxford. had a nice time in manchester getting hair, nails, ebrows done feel human again lol

basl · 29/07/2010 09:42

Oh that does sound good sal getting a little pamper. How is the injury? Are you going back to your netball? Oh and how is your little bambino is she getting big now?

5in i have never moved house before. Only ever moved from parents into the house i am in so don't really know what it feels like but i know all the packing etc is stressful. Remember Flyme doing all that recently as well but time does fly and you will soon be telling us how much fun the kids are having in the GARDEN!!!!

nicolamumof3 · 29/07/2010 10:50

Back from town and park weather been funny here later, starts of glorious then gradually clouds up.

Got my double nipper being dropped off at lunchtime. Can't wait to get scrubbing!!

basl · 29/07/2010 11:28

oh looking forward to a review nicola and i can just imagine you scrubbing away till it looks just right!!! So out for a long walk then with them both in it.

I know what you mean about the weather nicola, i was going to get the paddling pool out but it's all clouded over and all the kids are moaning now.

My Wonderful mums birthday today so we had birthday cake anc cappuccino for elevenses at my house and then she jets of to Tenenrife for a fortnight.

Hope everyone is ok and well very quite on here these days. Flyme not heard from you for a wee while and wonder how you are

nicolamumof3 · 29/07/2010 14:17

hiya basl. Well seller dropped off nipper...o...m....g! i would have been ashamed! Basl you'd have been stunned. it was filthy caked in mud, rusty wheels and break but just so so mingingly smelly and dirty. Straight out to garden where it was scrubbed in a big soapy boat of ariel. Hosed down and now drying. Can only get one wheel off will get terry to look at others then off to get some wire wool to rub it down. its quite satisfying tho in a weird kind of way. Just want a couple of v.cheap matching liners for it now.

basl · 29/07/2010 15:11

Oooooh some people eh? What are they thinking. Surely you would give it a spring clean before handing it over. I would have loved to see your face nicola
So what do you think? does it seem easy to push and i am sure you have not let the boys sit in it yet
You will never guess what my mum told us at our meal last night She works in a little cafe near an industrial estate and local to the tip. Well she told us that everytime she goes out to put the rubbish in her huge industrial bin there is always a pushchair dumped in it. She Said "lazy sods they can surely make the effort to take it 5mins up to the tip" Well my sister and i just about spat out our dinner. "Pushchairs, in the bucket, What condition, What kind, Did they look ok" much to my parents disgust. Well even my sister was gobsmacked and my mum reckons everyone she sees is in decent condition and looks like a good one ??????????
I could not concentrate without thinking of Flyme when she finds all her bargains. She is going to keep us posted the next time.

Look forward to the pics nicola and well done on the restoration job

nicolamumof3 · 29/07/2010 16:06

well the tyres need pumping its almost dry. Its not to my usual standard i just find it sad that people can treat stuff like this. i look after all my belongings and yes i do have touch of ocd but such a shame. Terry just reckons its been dumped in a shed for a long time. be fine with some liners on i expect do me for a few weeks then hopefully make my money back when i sell it!

basl · 29/07/2010 16:13

Mmmm shame that but yes a few liners and it will be great for what you need it for or will we see it on the sales board as soon as it is ready and all repaired

nicolamumof3 · 29/07/2010 16:31

no no deffo not basl! i am taking it to chessington next week! end of school hols tho be up for sale!! Can't have a 'big school boy' in buggy....can i?

can't find any cheap liners tho atm. grr.

basl · 29/07/2010 17:25

Did my liner ever make it's way back to you? I missed it at the post office and they said it was sent back .

Oh i can't believe Olivia will be starting school in three weeks and i could easily see her jumping in a double nipper for a fun ride on a long walk. Infact when my sister came to show me her double i pushed Olivia and her friend who is also 5 up to show her grandad just so i could have a little go and they loved it and just looked like they where on one of those horse carriage rides on holiday
