Would you buy a flat with no bathtub?

I'm looking at a flat in good nick with a good layout, good kitchen, in a good building.

Bathroom renovated attractively, but owners took out the bath. No hand shower either. I usually shower, but I'm not sure about never being able to bathe.

Big city view on a high floor, but modernist, very ugly (imo) building very visible from all rooms.

The photo is what you would see if you were reading in bed.

Price is not cheap, but fair.

For a flat it isn’t an issue, I personally wouldn’t buy a flat though, hate urban living

I haven't bathed for years. And I haven't used a hand held shower for years. What do you want one of those for, they're a pain. The bathroom looks lovely by the way.

much much easier to clean shower cubicle with a flexible shower

it's always a compromise isn't it. at least the building opposite is quite far away so you have privacy. i never use bath so shower not an issue.

It would bother me, yes. Have bought without one when the places ticked lots of boxes otherwise, but would look to put one back in.

this from a google search

You can add a hand shower to an overhead-only setup easily by installing a shower-arm diverter valve and a flexible hose without doing any plumbing behind the wall.

Yeah, I suppose there is that!

I hate baths and haven't had one for at least 30 years. Waste of time and water.

If there is space for a bath to be fitted then no issue, I would not rule out a property just because it had a shower instead of a bath as I would remove the shower cubicle and have a bath retrofitted.

If however there was no space to fit a bath without major changes (moving walls etc) then that is a different matter.

Oh no, no, no, I love a bath, especially in the Winter. My most recent house didn't have a tub but I soon had one installed.
Perhaps offer them less on the asking price?

View is fab. Looks great on general, it is a shame they scrimped on the hand shower but is it a deal breaker.
I think the people questioning the view aren't your people. 💐

I thought it was New York simply because every building appears to be brown there 😆
