How long has it been on for?

I think about 6 months…I think it started at £400k

Not for that much money.

The layout is crazy - the living room/ dining room is on the opposite side of the flat from the kitchen. A carpeted dining area makes no sense. The garden is grotty. Parking is an issue. The location isn't attractive.

What makes even less sense is that there's nothing inherently bedroom-y or dining-room-y about either of the rooms, so why didn't they just label them with the dining room next to the kitchen?!

scaredsillyabout · 17/05/2026 20:57

What is the metal frame at the back of the garden ? It looks like a new structure that would overlook your garden

Babyboomtastic · 17/05/2026 20:59

I'm confused why you care if it's not your flat tbh.

Yeahyeahyeahnooooo · 17/05/2026 21:01

It's not on Rightmove?

It’s the train depot I think

I thought exactly the same

Not enough photos of the rooms but they had to include one of the stairs bannisters. Why??

Garden looks dark and depressing.

It's a lease.

Council tax D. How much is that?

It just looks grotty tbh.

Yeah I think that’s something to do with that particular estate agent and the sites they sign up to.

This is nice. I guess the premium might be for the private outdoor space?

Is it yours ? Or are you in the market for investment out of interest - because taking my son as an example and I don’t think he’s an exception, he would go for a nicely maintained communal garden , no parking issues , a nicer area and a good interior and shared freehold every time.over a patch of rather grim garden

loooooool this made me proper laugh. Thank you.
There’s obviously a reason I’m asking for opinions.

lol I think this one is in a better state and also has a garage but god knows

the block of garages down that service road do not look like they get much use. In fact that service road and secluded space has all the hallmarks of a drug users hangout area.

No not mine but I’m in the process of buying something really close to it (also 2 bed) and I’m a bit worried about the resale because of the trains and the parking situation.

It’ll probably end up being dumping ground

OMG look at my first reply in this thread BOTH are on RM, hence I gave both links in my reply

Ihatelittlefriendsusan · 17/05/2026 21:12

It'a a lot of money for a poorly decorated run down flat.

The carpets are worn and dirty and need replacing, the kitchen is dated

The woodwork on the stairs is damaged and needs stripping and painting

The fencing in the garden is crap and needs replacing.

Basically it looks like a money pit.

The photos are.poor, the description more so...for a leasehold the length should be stated. And I think 250 is great for a mortgage lender but if it doesn't state it, I personally am going to assume it is under 100 years which is then more difficult to get a mortgage on.

hotblankey · 17/05/2026 21:12

My first thought was the structure that can be seen from the garden. If it’s the end of the train line, how noisy will that be?

But also, the photos are just completely joyless - stained carpet, dated kitchen and no hint there’s any kind of potential. Is it a probate sale and someone’s family just want shot of it? There’s not been any attempt to make it look attractive anyway.

At least with the second one, it’s clean, modern and ready to move into.

Arynaa · 17/05/2026 21:14

I feel stressed just looking at the parking on street view

yeah I think it will be quite noisy. Maybe that’s why it hasn’t sold

i was thinking probate or potentially ex rental? Hard to tell

It’s a train depot for an underground station.
would that put someone off?

The lease is 250 years.

parking isn’t restricted on the road and there’s no allocated spaces so that might be an issue?

It's at the rail junction or smth. Of course it will put ppl off. It's probably ex-council, people were supposed to live for free in such location.
