If they've split up it's very recent. She was still with him a few months ago. She didn't leave him when she found out he was a paedophile so if they've split up it's not over that.

I bet they’ve had no interest in the house, so she’s had to beg someone at the Guardian to feature it because she possibly wants to sell quickly.

I know that house! It’s about 5 miles up the road from me & I passed it yesterday. DH has always said he’d love to buy it. I had no idea India Knight & Eric Joyce owned it. I’ve never seen either of them out & about locally.

Nepotism obviously still in action. Makes you wonder who the other ones belong to - I can’t imagine the Brixton Streatham “penthouse” “equidistant between Clapham Common and Brockwell Park” (both a good kilometre away) with no transport links except the number 45 bus, has had much interest at that price either.

Interestingly a puff piece on the house and also “marriage advice” (vomit) on Cup of Jo’s substack was pulled after reader comments about Eric. Whereas in the mainstream press there seems to be a deafening silence/ lack of knowledge/ comment.

Quite sad really that piece on the potential of the house for grand entertaining. Although judgemental and abrasive, she’s certainly entertaining - if it wasn’t for Eric I am sure she would have had some great parties there. I wonder what her children think if/ when they are obliged to socialise with him. She must believe they are some great love story to persist so long with him (unless coercive control is at play I suppose).

I see the house is still up for sale and she hasn’t reduced the price. It’s a tough market now and a n expensive house in a somewhat remote location was only ever going to appeal to a niche group, but I wonder if her rep has put off some potential buyers.

I feel very torn about her. I love her taste but you can't ignore the awful choices she's made in her personal life. From what she alluded to recently she's still very much with her partner (yuck)

She has a phenomenally successful Substack, with a pretty high (for Substack) monthly subscription so I'd say her bank balance is fairly healthy. She also has a new book called Home about to come out for the Christmas market.

They are (allegedly) sometimes in the Greyhound pub in Pettistree.

@AnnaQuayInTheUkthat’s the opposite direction to me & I don’t often get to the pub! I know that pub though, I did a dressmaking course at Pettistree village hall.
