I love absolutely everything about the house but fuck me it needs a good tidy up.

Staged lived-in-ness is really unappealing to me.

Every single cushion needs plumping.

This! It too “staged lived in”. Too try hard to look accidentally thrown together.

AgnesX · 25/06/2025 17:02

In principle I like it but there's too much clutter. Ok, I know you're not buying that, so for that amount of money I'd like to be assured there are fewer draughts than it looks like there might be.

She (apparently) made a lot of money - a little under £4,000,000 - when she sold her house in Primrose Hill ten years ago.

Didn't that all go on court/lawyers fees to keep her paedophile partner out of prison?

There's no way I'd want to buy their house even if I had the money. They are a disgusting pair of humans beings

Edited for typo

OnionsNotBunions · 25/06/2025 17:05

Very similar to my childhood home in a small town none too far away from this house.

I love it; I loved living in a house steeped in history. The beams felt protective. It was super warm in the winter (the enormous fireplace helped) and cool in the summer. The Tudor knew a bit about house building.

I’d buy IK’s house in a heartbeat if I could. Hopefully none of the proceeds are going to the husband.

DiamondThrone · 25/06/2025 17:02

Now that she's lost all that weight on Mounjaro (having written a diet book, then criticised the diet industry), is she finally ditching the punchy paedophile?

I think so. I see Lady Bountiful has a new book out this autumn in which she advises us how to love our homes. Could there also be a ‘My marriage hell’ interview coming up as part of a comeback?

Definitely this ^

I love maximalism and have shed loads of stuff...but I still like my home to look tidy, particularly if I'm trying to sell it!

It's gorgeous though...just a shame about her abhorrent partner/husband.

I think she might have given evidence for him as well - his “good character”?

There was some wank about how he’s a changed man as he found a good woman to love implying they found each other after. But they were already together when these crimes happened so…

they’re both terrible people, he’s a violent, racist paedo, she stands by that and writes all her judgey columns and they have an ugly house, looks like a jumble sale exploded.

Cactusmumma · 25/06/2025 17:16

It’s a bit like when someone recently posted a link to Pearl Lowe’s house. I could appreciate the styling but it’s too fussy and cluttered for my taste. Would make me twitch!

Had to google who India Knight is, when I read about her partner/husband I wish I hadn’t!!

Apart from the hideous green windows and facia boards I think it’s just about my perfect house! Gorgeous.

I love it too. It looks so welcoming and happy. It’s a beautiful house.

Good lord I couldn't be doing with all that clutter !

The Coffee table must have about 25 books on it , some stacked 4 books high , just why ?

The idea that the rooms in the eves are bedrooms is a joke , you would have to get in bed from the foot of it and god knows how you'd change the sheets .

That said, clear all the clutter , throws , cushions and the myriad of stuff on the shelf over the oven ( how does she reach that lot ?)
Paint the front door , trim the conifers on the path and knock several zeros of the price and I'd ( maybe ) go for it.

We are the the absolute opposite of each other 😂

We are the the absolute opposite of each other 😂

I'm finding it fascinating how this house seems to provoke two diametrically opposed reactions - people either adore it or they really hate all the clutter. It's a real Marmite house 😂

I absolutely love the house and the gardens. Glorious. It feels so welcoming!

I didn't know who India Knight was but have now caught up - unbelievable that she stood by him. Utterly, utterly unforgiveable.

Her house is still bloody lovely though.

QueefofSheena · 25/06/2025 18:12

IIRC not only did she stand by him but her DD went to live full time with the father. She appears to have chosen a paedo over her child.

mylovedoesitgood · 25/06/2025 18:23

I wonder if she’s divorcing him and has to sell up as part of the settlement.

Beautifulcreatures2 · 25/06/2025 18:32

I love it but also hope she’s divorcing that creep.

Bluevelvetsofa · 25/06/2025 18:45

You’d need a battalion to dust all the froufrou.

I don’t find it welcoming. It feels as though it’s faintly grubby.

OnionsNotBunions · 25/06/2025 18:48

I should have added to my earlier post that whilst I love the house and the decor, the clutter would be stripped RIGHT back!

Agree, both foul:

Lot's of detail on his actions in this report, but I cannot find the article with a reference to India Knight: https://www.expressandstar.com/news/uk-news/2020/08/07/ex-mp-eric-joyce-given-suspended-sentence-for-making-indecent-image-of-a-child/

Another case where Knight defends him: https://www.hamhigh.co.uk/news/crime/21370886.former-mp-eric-joyce-convicted-attacking-teenagers-chalk-farm/

No...... it looks perfect. You could just move straight in and relax. Plumped up cushions are offputting and unwelcoming.

thatsawhopperthatlemon · 25/06/2025 19:05

I neither know nor care who she is.

But I do love an old house. Way too many cutesy nick-nacks though, and the twiggy shit hanging from the beam in the kitchen is a fire hazard, so get rid of that lot and I'll take it.

Well, maybe. The estate agent blurb waxes lyrical but doesn't really tell you much.

Wundy · 25/06/2025 19:19

Unfortunately (apart from the bathrooms) I really like it. I don't want to like anything that India likes (I'm assuming she likes her house).

Can anyone kindly tell me where I can see Pearl Lowe's house?

PeppyLilacLion · 25/06/2025 19:19

Known paedo’s ex house, no thank you even for the loveliest house in the world- tainted and grubby. Watch this disappear, public outrage only applies to some people and not others.

Dymaxion · 25/06/2025 20:52

I didn't realise Pearl's was for sale too , bit disappointed by the lack of goats Wink
