Sorry if already shared by someone else, but photo 2 of 8 made me smile. Sharing to spread the joy. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/152590361?utm_campaign=property-details&utm_content=buying&utm_medium=sharing&utm_source=copytoclipboard#/&channel=RES_BUY

This is what the neighbouring house with an extra floor now looks like. Maybe not to everyone’s taste (I like the 60s facade), but obviously smart.

God people on here lack imagination! Why is it that whenever people post something like this others have to denigrate the house- it’s obviously been a lovely home for an interesting person, judging by the decor. And yes we are all aware that you can buy a massive mansion in hull for that price but then you’ve got to pay upkeep, the area is completely different and you’re a 3 hour helicopter journey away from work if your job is in the city! It’s like we’re back in the world of Hyacinth Bucket where anything over a mil has to have a tennis court and room for a pony…

I loved the ice cream and LOVE the house. So full of light and the roof terraces are absolutely fantastic. I bet they have fantastic views. Looks like you could make it warm and comfortable and easy to keep. I’ve moved out now but that area of London is really beautiful. Plus you’re about 20 min away from the city (if you work there), and the west end, plus two amazing parks and more fantastic restaurants than you could ever want to visit. That’s what you’re paying for…

Exactly. Plus you’ve got to live in Hull compared to one of the nicest areas in London.

Now that’s more like it 😍

You’ve got to be mad to pay that price to live in a tiny house in shitty London WITH NO GARDEN 🤯

The ice cream in photo 2 of 8 🙂

You can only see it if you click into the picture, if you just scroll through its cut out.

Toddlerteaplease · 28/02/2025 13:18

I'd ask them if I could buy the ice cream as part of the package.

All that money and not even a shower curtain.

We once rented a holiday cottage that we later learned belonged to a celebrity (we'd never heard of her at that stage) and she apparently couldn't afford a shower curtain either. We had to hang towels over the overlooked bathroom windows and spread them all over the floor.

Or, save £300k and buy main house with 6 flats, owners accommodation and 28 acres...

Yep it's totally irrelevant to say you could buy a 6 bed castle in Lincolnshire or whatever because posh areas of London are their own ecosystem and those that buy such places buy for the lifestyle and convenience that suits them and often have 'money to burn'. Someone I know ( and is rich and lovely- very old family money) has a nice little news house in Maida Vale area that would be several million I'm sure and yet spends most of the year in Europe at various pads depending on time of year and has it as her London ' base' - am I jealous- yep!!!

123feraverto · 28/02/2025 15:21

Didn't notice the ice cream and who in their right mind pays that much for a house like that ?!

Bignanna · 28/02/2025 16:06

Horrible garden, you’d think they’d tidy it up!

Bignanna · 28/02/2025 16:09

The price made me smile!

Good choice of Underground/Rail Stations , you could pick one a day and randomly travel .

I thought "Mews House with garage " but they've converted it ,

😍 Mmmm Yorkshire....now that IS a view of the park (without needing a roof terrace to catch a glimpse).
