Really? Some nice features but it's over cluttered and fairly ordinary! Taste a bit naff if I'm being really honest...

redgingerbread · 11/12/2024 22:12

It’s not what I’d choose to spend a million pounds on. I don’t like houses where you have to walk through rooms to get to other rooms.

Radishknot · 11/12/2024 22:13

It’s very homely but not really my taste. I know this road, lots of attractive houses but don’t like the idea your front door opens straight onto the street.

Spirallingdownwards · 11/12/2024 22:14

Is it yours? Are you trying to get extra publicity? It's nice enough but not something I would be linking as being stunning.

Radishknot · 11/12/2024 22:14

Looking at the floor plan the lack of hall puts me off.

Spaceid · 11/12/2024 22:15

Not my cup of tea!

Meganssweatycrotch · 11/12/2024 22:16

Looks like Bob and Linda have had a naked portrait of themselves done and maybe like to dine in the buff whilst gazing upon it. And has nobody seen the fake waiter thing at the other table. Wtf.

TrippTover · 11/12/2024 22:16

Not for me

Mum2jenny · 11/12/2024 22:16

Not worth the money imo, but I don’t know the area. It certainly wouldn’t be one I’d consider buying irrespective of the price.

EwwSprouts · 11/12/2024 22:16

I quite like it but for the best part of a million I would want detached and decent off road parking.

Thewrongdoor · 11/12/2024 22:20

I like it. You’d need a lot more than a million to get a detached house and off-road parking where I live!

TheDowagerCountessofPembroke · 11/12/2024 22:21

Nice enough but nothing special.

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 11/12/2024 22:23

The hats being piled higgeldy-piggeldy in the lounge suggests a massive lack of storage elsewhere.

Put your clothes away!

CharlotteStreetW1 · 11/12/2024 22:25

I would buy it but all that black would have to go.

FKAT · 11/12/2024 22:26

I quite like it. And were it not for the hats and baskets, I could see it being owned by two charming gentlemen antique dealers.

strangeandfamiliar · 11/12/2024 22:26

It looks dark, low-ceilinged and cluttered to me, but each to his own

LisaJohnsonsFacebookMole · 11/12/2024 22:28

That garden is DULL.

They went for a look inside but it didn't quite work. Shame, 'cause it can look good when done well. I dislike the lighting and I hate the windows. Are those ceilings particularly low or is it bad photography and decorating?

Scutterbug · 11/12/2024 22:31

I live close by. You could get better here for a million pounds imo. Henley is very quaint but overpriced imo.

GrannyAchingsShepherdsHut · 11/12/2024 22:33

I'm not keen on it really. I don't like the walking straight into a sitting room, although it looks like in reality they just use that room as a large hallway. It's a big space to just relegate to being a walk through though.

I'd also be put off by the stairs opening straight into the kitchen. I'm very surprised that building control were happy with the 'reconfigured' staircase as it's the only way out from upstairs and if the kitchen catches fire you'd be fucked.

Buttermill · 11/12/2024 22:33

Sorry OP not worth nearly 1 million. If I was to pay that I wouldn't want to live right on a main footpath I dont know the area but lots of nice bigger houses and gardens for cheaper. I also don't like the dark colours or the clutter it doesnt match the price tag. The brick work on the house is lovely though

SoloSofa24 · 11/12/2024 22:34

Stunning? Really? I don't know the area, but a house opening straight onto the pavement with lots of small rooms and a rather gloomy style of decor doesn't say 'stunning' to me.

If I were fantasy house shopping with roughly that sort of budget, I'd be more excited about somewhere like this, which really does have stunning views: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/152608568#/?channel=RES_BUY

slightlydistrac · 11/12/2024 22:34

I quite like the stunt buddha in the garden. Makes a change from a pineapple in the kitchen.

LoafofSellotape · 11/12/2024 22:36

I don't like it at all.

I think the hats are a design feature rather than lack of storage.

Ellmau · 11/12/2024 22:42

Sorry, but I could never live somewhere called Cobweb Cottage.

Radionowhere · 11/12/2024 22:47

Not for me. The clutter suggests small rooms and no storage and the layout is odd
