We are looking to move house and it seems Hampstead ticks all of our boxes! Any suggestions of particular roads or areas? Or just general views!

If you like Hampstead, please don't go to HGS. It's lovely to drive through but I'd never live there. It's quiet and boring, no shops unless you are near to Temple Fortune, strict rules about any work done on the houses and very little transport. A lot of the kids there will go to Jewish schools so, unless that is what you plan for your kids, they will have less school friends living nearby. Within walking distance of Hampstead tube is the village proper and any further out is going to be actually in other areas but branded Hampstead for the reasons I stated upthread. I still think Belsize Park is much better. I regularly drive to Pinner, which is lovely, but SO far out. People suggesting Acton and Whetstone etc aren't paying attention to what the OP said.

I’ve only really driven through it but agree HGS feels boring. Roads and roads of houses and not much else, plus no tube etc.

OP what schools are you looking at as “catchments” may be smaller than you think? Primary for sure would be different if in Hampstead proper vs HGS.

agree with PP about Belsize or maybe even a bit further over towards Swiss Cottage but again depends on schools

Thank you for this! I may drop you a PM if that’s ok?

Over-priced London suburb full of in-comers from the provinces who think they are now Londoners simply by having an NW postcode.

I'd avoid it like the plague.
