The KitchenAid is very close to the sink and the bedside tables are very far away from the bed.

The mismatched kitchen units would drone me mad. So bland.

When it was lived in it was likely done up properly with the kitchen units zoning different parts of the kitchen.

Now it is just a bland shell.

Very nice (if unlived in looking) but for the thick end of £5m it should be.

Is Mrs E giving him the heave ho?

They are separated and divorcing.

BlackShuck3 · 10/10/2024 17:39

Nice place, wonder what it'll sell for?

He had all that, a lovely wife and a great job and he still managed to let his cock get the better of him. All he had to do was go to work, do his job, go home.

I know! Disgusting man!

BoobyDazzler · 10/10/2024 19:39

Those greige skirting boards are an abomination, but other than that it’s a lovely house. Just needs some colour on the walls.

TheChosenTwo · 10/10/2024 19:43

I think it looks absolutely fine, loads of scope to put your own stamp on it.
If you’re looking to buy a house in the area and had almost 5m to spend, you’d certainly look at it.

I hate seeing beautiful old buildings that have been blandwashed. There isn’t a single aspect of this home I find appealing, apart from the exterior:(

Couldn't agree more!

Ireolu · 10/10/2024 20:02

Just seen this somewhere else and knew it would have been posted here.

the house is decoratively uninspired (all the furrnuture looks cheap!) and over priced. Nope not for me

Blackberriesandcobwebs · 10/10/2024 20:04

Blandtastic!

Sale history says it was bought for 980k 19 years ago.

That means it has increased at a rate of nearly 200k per year. Surely not?

Sounds about right. We bought a flat in Camberwell for £140k 25 years ago which is now worth £550k, and I remember houses in North Dulwich going for the unimaginable-at-the-time sum of £400k - they are now worth £2-2.5m.

LaPalmaLlama · 10/10/2024 21:07

I’d buy that- I really like the layout/ proportions. Sadly I’m a few million short.

BourbonsAreOverated · 10/10/2024 21:07

yeah.
he definitely would have had a bigger house if he’d gone to Oxford. I can see why he had a complex Confused

SunQueen24 · 10/10/2024 21:08

They like their drawers don’t they? Strange kitchen.

It’s fine, but this one on the same road is cheaper and much nicer. If I had £5m in my pocket, I know which one I’d put an offer on.

You could have a party in that bathroom

I wouldn’t dare have one in the living room, all that white carpet! Wine

good96 · 10/10/2024 22:44

The property was sold on the 31st October 2005 for £985k - a staggering eye watering potential profit of £3,750,000 if the asking price was achieved!

good96 · 10/10/2024 22:47

I mean I wish my house had increased it’s value by that much! Mine has only increased by £336k in the 33 years we have owned it!! Paid £39k for it in 1991 and we’ve just accepted an offer for £375k

But yours has increased ten times in value, and Huw’s has only quadrupled. Presumably your house isn’t a seven bedroom mansion.

Yes, it's fairly basic maths. Percentage wise, the cheaper house has increased almost twice as much as the Edwards house. 862% compared to 475%

junerella · 10/10/2024 23:16

The outside is beautiful, the inside is a bland atrocity.

friendlycat · 11/10/2024 00:01

I was surprised at how bland the interior was when I saw the photos and how awful the bedroom curtains are.

But it’s on a premium road in Dulwich. There are far more beautiful and impressive houses on that road. This one isn’t one of them.

I hope it sells quickly so that his soon to be ex wife can move forward with her life. It’s reported that she’s obviously divorcing him and won’t talk directly only through lawyers.

KlaraSundown · 11/10/2024 00:17

Cripes! It's so soulless and bland. Maybe no one spent much time there, as in a second home etc.

Doubledenim305 · 11/10/2024 18:21

Copperoliverbear · 10/10/2024 05:09

I don't like it, very bland.
How he's not in prison in beyond me, dirty old pervert.
He will do it again obviously, because he probably feels he's got off lightly

Masons or wink wink , old boys club BBC. They cover up their people.

I'm not a fan of the way the drawers look, but they're definitely more practical than cupboards. A lot of people opt for pan drawers now.
