Electric/gas cooker and hob.
Extractor fan

Exx · 08/07/2024 15:52

Mains drains, mains gas, teabags, a decent mobile phone signal, Channel 69 on Freeview (we used to have it, but it disappeared in our area 😥)

RoseyLentil · 08/07/2024 15:55

Air fryer 🤣

squashyhat · 08/07/2024 16:03

Mains gas, upstairs bathroom, dog (apparently very unusual round here)

Tenaciousbeyondallthings · 08/07/2024 16:10

Gas, mains sewage.. A shop of any description within 5 miles

twoforj0y · 08/07/2024 16:14

No air fryer

No ninja smoothie maker

No ringgo-type doorbell

In fact, NO doorbell!

Wedoourish · 08/07/2024 16:16

Alexa
Ringdoorbell
Off Rd parking
Utility room
En suite

garlictwist · 08/07/2024 16:18

We live in a back to back so only have a front to our house. There are no back rooms or windows.

No ensuite (but this is fine as a) there's only one bathroom and b) I don't like them)

Couldn't live without my bath though! I love it. I'd be really put off a house without a bath and would have to put one back in.

Ratfinkstinkypink · 08/07/2024 16:20

A working front door
Double glazing
Gas
Extractor fans in the kitchen or bathroom
More than one toilet
Am en-suite
No mains drains
Reliable mobile signal

We do have a gardener's toilet though and a working fireplace

ClonedSquare · 08/07/2024 16:20

A garage. It's the one thing that means we'll never have this as a forever home, as we need the storage space.

sparkles79 · 08/07/2024 16:36

Extractor fan/cooker hood (but one's going in soon when I get around to saving for new kitchen appliances)

Fireplace- find it really odd as I have no where to hang the Christmas stockings!

Only 1 bathroom so no downstairs toilet or en-suite

Jaq27 · 08/07/2024 16:41

The house we moved into 4 months ago had no ceiling lights in the living room (which we discovered as it was getting dark: cue mad scramble amongst packing boxes for lamps we could plug in).
We had to arrange for an electrician to put an overhead light in.

Allthislovelygreen · 08/07/2024 16:42

More than one window in the whole place (2 bedroom flat)

Jaq27 · 08/07/2024 16:45

I also miss drinking water from the tap.
There's one special spigot thing in the kitchen that the surveyor said was 'safe' as it is mains water.
Feels like I spend my life walking around the house with jugs of water for the bedroom, the en-suite and the main bathroom.
Hopefully this will get this remedied when we get things re-plumbed.

DPotter · 08/07/2024 16:56

a back door - double patio doors off the lounge only

cold water tank - our water comes straight off the mains supply

no access to main sewage system

no hall way downstairs - all the rooms lead from one to another

theapo · 08/07/2024 16:58

An upstairs (it's a bungalow) and a cupboard! Yep no cupboards.

We had this with our master bedroom! There was a ceiling fan so we assumed there was a light built in… nope.

Also, no doorbell or cameras.

MountainBiker · 08/07/2024 17:00

A doorbell
Carpets

Whithersoever · 08/07/2024 17:01

An island (of the kitchen variety - not floating off the garden in the Thames!). Marble work surfaces. Beautifully painted walls (thanks house-animals).

A garage. We're in a detached 4 bed house, not a terrace so I think it's unusual not to have a garage.

Ooh, same. Though ours is a converted farm building, so we have a few outbuildings, but no actual garage.

NameChange101113 · 08/07/2024 17:05

More than one toilet/bathroom.
A bath - but I want one so badly!
More than one TV. Our only one is in the lounge.
An AirFryer.

LittleGreenDuck · 08/07/2024 17:07

A cheese room and a moat.

I always said my forever home would need these two features. It does not.

Sillyness1066 · 08/07/2024 17:08

Fire place/chimney breast, no character , live in new build.

BippityBopper · 08/07/2024 17:09

A hallway.
