I absolutely LOVE this house

I've been to this village on holiday and it's gorgeous, on a headland with sea views in all directions when you go for a walk. The wind would knock you off your feet and it rains a lot but it's so wild and gorgeous. Plus there is an excellent craft shop in the next town. So, pretty close to perfect.

Trying to flog your holiday home OP? 🤣

No, not for me. Very bland and dull with no character. All white and boring inside. Does nothing for me at all. And 895,000 euros too!!! Shock As a pp said, it looks like a pub on a main high street. There is no front garden, and it's right on a main road near a traffic island! Would be OK for air B & B maybe. Doesn't look like a residential home to me. And it has zero kerb appeal!

Is this your house @BlackAmericanoNoSugar ??? Are you trying to sell it?

Grin No, not mine. I just really, really enjoyed my stay there and would love to go back. It is overpriced I think, but then so is most of Ireland.

It’s been on the market for over a year. Was up at €950k in April 2023.
They are chasing the market down. With no takers in over a year, looks like at that price nobody wants to live in it, and there’s no profit trying to run it as a business.

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 20/06/2024 21:14

I'd have it, and we're looking at the moment. Wrong side of the country for me though, and roughly four times our budget.

The outdoor space is terrible though, I'd need to put in some sort of seaside-friendly garden with driftwood and grasses.

localnotail · 20/06/2024 21:16

Wow, so sterile, windswept and uncomfortable! Each t their own, but I would be miserable there. It looks so cold and clinical - and there are no trees!! Also, don't like the front. Too flat and no private space on street.

localnotail · 20/06/2024 21:18

It looks like a b&b

I suspect it might have been a b&b or a holiday rental.

Don't all the members of a once famous boy and live in Sligo?

The video intro is so long I never got to the house!

The video is shit!

GOODCAT · 20/06/2024 21:25

Really like that

RampantIvy · 20/06/2024 21:25

I love the unfussy decor, and how light and airy the interior is. I don't do "cosy".

It isn't bland and boring. It is so easy to add touches of colour with soft furnishings and accessories.

Delphiniumandlupins · 20/06/2024 21:41

No floor plan? MN is never going to support a house without a floor plan.

CharlieBalf · 21/06/2024 06:42

Each to their own but I imagine the reality of living there is much different from what the pictures present.
All that white would be very very hard to clean and keep looking good.

Almost 1mil and no floor plan?

Perfect if you want a low maintenance garden or perhaps are out on the water and needed space to store a boat or equipment.

MartyFunkhouser · 21/06/2024 06:51

I love the decor - that’s exactly the style I like.

I’d be put off by the lack of garden. I’d want more than a pokey yard.

Having spent every interminable summer in that part of Ireland as a child, I’d guess they took the photos on the one day of the year the sun comes out.

BruceAndNosh · 21/06/2024 06:56

I'd have to do something about my face if I lived in a place with so many mirrors!

Why have they faked/enhanced the seascape views from the windows? Look closely, and you can see they are superimposed. It's bizarre!
