I actually love that. Sure it could do with some updating, but it’s immaculate and has been kept beautifully. You could easily live in it and carry out the renovations bit by bit.

olderbutwiser · 28/02/2024 08:08

Oh I would have found that achingly fashionable and glamorous in my youth! Wonderful!

Freeasabird76 · 28/02/2024 08:08

My eyes!!! That carpet throughout makes me dizzy.
I'm all for original features but that's just all around awful.

MrsMoastyToasty · 28/02/2024 08:09

I know where that is! It's on what is usually one of the busiest roads out of north Bristol. (Although currently a lot less busy due to the bridge over the M4 due south of the property being closed for the foreseeable future).

I agree!!

Is that your house OP?

JamesPringle · 28/02/2024 08:10

Lovely kitchen units!

FiveShelties · 28/02/2024 08:10

That house has really been cared for, needs updating but could live with it and do things gradually.

user14921261 · 28/02/2024 08:10

That kitchen is amazing! Love it!

Also their bathroom cabinet looks like our old one which was free with green shield stamps 😆

SoupDragon · 28/02/2024 08:11

That is a house that has been loved and looked after.

It's most likely someone elderly who has gone into a care home or needs to downsize.

I'm pretty sure we had that tumble drier in the 70s when I was little!

This! It looks like a lovely home.

Thighdentitycrisis · 28/02/2024 08:14

I like the green bathroom

SoupDragon · 28/02/2024 08:18

Picture 14 made me laugh - that single chair placed in the centre of the wall, facing the curtains across the arch. I wonder why they did that,

Mochaccino99 · 28/02/2024 08:18

I actually love that, especially the kitchen - it looks like an exhibit in a design museum! That house would be beautiful updated a bit but keeping lots of the features

No, nothing to do with me.

OP posts:
Roselilly36 · 28/02/2024 08:58

Looks like it’s been a very happy, well loved family home, and obviously been owned for many years. The green bath room tiles are wonderful, love them. Probably quite a wrench for this house to be sold. (It’s nothing to do with me either)

Tupster · 28/02/2024 09:01

Blimey, an amazing amount of that has gone around and come back into fashion. Change the carpets and I'd believe it was a fully modernised house!

Norhymeorreason · 28/02/2024 09:02

That's a really wonderful family house. So much space and light, all the rooms so well proportioned and a lovely garden. Someone is going to fall completely in love with it.

Bells3032 · 28/02/2024 09:04

honestly not sure what the problem is. looks like any house that was last decorated in the 70s. Nothing a lick of paint couldn't fix

Janehasamane · 28/02/2024 09:06

Just looks like a fairly standard 60/70s decor. I’m not seeing what others are seeing, the hall is great, but nothing amazing.

housethatbuiltme · 28/02/2024 09:07

Its not for me personally but I have do doubt that there are people who would lust after that vintage 'space age' kitchen. To a collector its probably worth money.

I like the porthole windows.

Funderthighs · 28/02/2024 09:10

It’s beautiful. I love the kitchen units, the green bathroom and the huge hallway & staircase.

Cathbrownlow · 28/02/2024 09:10

It's a lovely house, but I suspect that a keen DIY amateur has spent a long time lovingly tinkering with the ceiling lights - were they originally car headlights?

YoureTheOneBeepingTheHornOverACheeseBurger · 28/02/2024 09:10

JamesPringle · 28/02/2024 08:10

Lovely kitchen units!

They are amazing aren’t they?

I also love the bathroom suite, what an unusual shower.
I hate the light fittings in the living room/kitchen ceiling. So many of them too.

Fabulous house.

AngelsWithSilverWings · 28/02/2024 09:10

That's a really lovely house. You could move straight in and just gradually make it to your own taste. I'd buy it.

AgnesX · 28/02/2024 09:15

It's a lovely house apart from the decor which is firmly stuck in the 1970s.
