I'm disappointed by how boring their garden furniture is!

Gatekeeper · 08/12/2023 17:26

Its a very handsome house from the outside. Garden a let down though...far too small

kookykalki · 08/12/2023 17:28

I don't know why, but the fake brick wallpapered feature wall makes me feel all sorts of eugh.

Like others have said, some of it is nice on its own.. but also like a PP said, I want to go look at a magnolia wall now 😅

MrsMoastyToasty · 08/12/2023 17:37

I bet their neighbours love them! A built in barbecue behind the garage and an outdoor fireplace at the back of the main garden.

EvilRingahBitch · 08/12/2023 17:37

I like it. I'd slap a gallon of Dulux Trade White on pretty much all the wall paper until I could be bothered to strip it off but the rest is lovely.

thesugarbumfairy · 08/12/2023 17:38

Well that hurts my brain. Because its such a mishmash of styles, and I really like a lot of it, and really hate a lot of it.

The living room in particular I dislike, even though I love that blue floral on its own. Its like someone decorated it tastefully first , and then someone else came along and threw ALL the shit at it.

I do love the pink and grey bathroom. And the white bathroom. and the fancy pants bedroom.

Twiglets1 · 08/12/2023 17:52

How to ruin a perfectly nice house.

RestingCatsArseFace · 08/12/2023 17:58

Someone has spent a lot of time on choosing all that. Some of it is a bit hit and miss but on the whole I love it.

My nightmare would be a grey or black & white house with a shiny kitchen and a stainless steel toilet. Or anything along those lines. Too many houses with no character left, looking like laboratories and cells. Lack of imagination is a killer for me.

That is a happy, bright house, a good example of how to do the eclectic look.

This, on the other hand is a prime example of how NOT to do it. I saw this house before it was done up, it was a lovely property, a bit run down but a home. Now it is a mess.

It's nice to see a house that hasn't been influenced by influencers for a change

TheLurpackYears · 08/12/2023 18:07

All that effort and they couldn't be arsed to mow th lawn.

RobinGet · 08/12/2023 18:13

I love the stairs. Some of the decor is a bit overblown but I think the house is quite charming overall.

DisforDarkChocolate · 08/12/2023 18:16

The hall made my eyes hurt!

Most of the rest I could live with, especially with some less busy furniture.

Petrine · 08/12/2023 18:36

It’s beautifully done. I like it.

capabilityfrowns · 08/12/2023 18:47

The bedrooms (apart from the red brick chimney breast) bathrooms and kitchen are lovely .

The rest could be tweaked . I like it .

Kayte198999 · 08/12/2023 17:30

When this house is very close by, cheaper and seems bigger, yes this one is a bit drab but I don't think they even compare

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/139846283#/?channel=RES_BUY

But… This one is on the main road, has no garage and is not a genuine 5 bed as only has one bathroom ( plus downstairs loo) so you’d have to make the small bedroom another bathroom.

CyberCritical · 08/12/2023 19:37

In most of those rooms the furniture is what pushes it from lovely to too much, they'll be taking the furniture with them so it would be really easy to make that very nice, very quick.

Mischance · 08/12/2023 19:43

Anyone got any migraleve?

There is absolutely nothing that I like about that house: decor, layout, situation, "garden", road junction. Wouldn't give you tuppence for it!

AgnesX · 08/12/2023 19:51

Good grief! Really glad I'm not their neighbour either.

Creepedmeout · 08/12/2023 20:44

Fantastic place. All the colours would drive my head silly but it’s the kind of home I wish I was brave enough to create. (apart from the fake brick wall)

Did someone let Helena Bonham-Carter out again?

Brexile · 08/12/2023 20:50

Too modern and too girly for me. I remember Halstead though, went to the cinema there for an occasional treat when I was little.

Amybelle88 · 08/12/2023 23:19

I absolutely hate it!

That's not a comment to downcry the fact you love it though, I absolutely love how everyone is different and likes different things. Makes the world go round ❤️

DinoDays · 08/12/2023 23:27

Hate it!

Smacks of "Look at me, I'm arty!"

Poor kids having that shit flower wallpaper in their bedroom. No way would a kid choose that.

That's what annoys me most! So desperate to prove how Insta arty they are they don't give a fuck what their kids want.

AzureBlue99 · 08/12/2023 23:36

I love it. I would only keep bits of it and tone it down, but it's great to see a house with personality
